[RETRO] Wrestling Megastars by Epic Toys

I just don’t think I can trust the guy after my experiences. Many have said bad things about him prior to me placing an order so I approached it with caution. When I request to buy the Blue Meanie 2 Pack, I state that I would be doing it as goods and services. He was charging 1% higher on goods and services than necessary but I think we sorted that out. Him not knowing what the real cost should be was a bit of a red flag too. But hey, benefit of the doubt.

Three months later, I go to check on the status of the figures because there hasn’t been any update but it shows that he has me blocked on IG (no idea why - I don’t think I follow him nor do I comment on much of anything). His page wouldn’t show up for me and I screenshotted it. This lead me to contact Chella who then contacted him. Shortly thereafter, his IG page magically worked again. Coincidence or shady behavior? Again, I gave him the benefit of the doubt even though his page showed up fine on another account. He then contacted me and said he didn’t have me blocked and tried to get me to buy an Ethan Page figure (I opted not to respond right away).

Some time later, his IG account got banned (again) for what I suspect was illegal activity. This was my final red flag. I decided to go ahead and request a refund for my order. My mindset was we will see how this goes for other people and maybe in the future I’ll buy more figures if everything appears to be smooth.

He was going through a personal matter which I missed initially because I didn’t read his full response after he told me “we don’t offer refunds.” That part about the funeral is absolutely on me but I will let others judge our exchange and the way in which he conducted himself:





Again, I take responsibility for not seeing the part about the funeral (if there was any truth to it). However, I would never have expected someone to be conducting business at their own mother’s funeral (or any funeral for that matter). It isn’t the wording you would expect to see following the denial of a refund request. That also raises just so many other questions.

So in short, I don’t wish anything bad upon this guy but there is a lot going on with him that should make everyone be cautious when dealing with him.

I'm all for giving people the benefit of the doubt, but my one interaction with that guy on IG was negative and WHO IS RETURNING TEXTS AT THEIR MOTHER'S FUNERAL? What the....? I really have a hard time believing anything about that guy. Chella made a little bit of a misstep here. No wonder others are leery of going through overseas middlemen: you never really know how they're going to handle your product and your customers.

Is there going to be a reliable way to get Dynamite Kid and Bull over here?

We all know what that means. Hopefully it will be in their 7“ line, because there is really no need for a Hasbro style Adam Bomb. The original one is good enough.

Chella just all but confirmed Giant Haystacks. Great news as he can fit into any WCW collection as Loch Ness.

I think they will do well dude, I must say Chella’s evolution as a company and as products is super impressive, they are aware what is currently out in the market and the standard that has been set by Mattel, Jazwares etc so I am sure this have been well thought out. I personally believe it will be like Super 7s approach to making these figures. But this will be exciting to see enter the list of current products that are out there. In addition I think as a business this is an incredible move, I can only imagine how many times Chella and ZST has been used in the same conversation, with the addition of a 7” line, it now separates them from the Zombie comparison.
