In re-listening to last week’s episode, I’m curious as to whether or not Luke and Kate are considering interchangeable arms for DDP. This would give everyone the best of both worlds when it comes to the wrist tape too. Diamond pose with white tape and standard arms/fist/open hand with black tape would be preferred.

It isn’t what sticks out in my mind. A GIS with the first 100 photos or so appears to be a 70/30 split (white to black). |

And to be clear, I’m approaching this as if the task at hand were “you have one shot to make a retro DDP figure that represents his most popular time in wrestling.” If that is indeed the goal, both looks would serve most better than one in my opinion. They never said they planned to treat this as an ultimate or anything but given the circumstances, I wish they would/could. That would lead to additional fantasy booking like a taped rib wrap accessory and probably other ridiculous things. It isn’t clear what Luke and Kate have planned but the comment about treating this one special or differently is the only reason I’m floating any of this (even if it is unlikely to happen).

Got a package from Wrestling Trader today. I had to go and carry it from the poststation. I was so excited to finally get my Bluestacks that I ripped the package open immediately. I was a little disappointed when Valentine came out of the package. It’s a very nice figure, don’t get me wrong. In fact even nicer than Bluestacks, probably in the top 3 of the Chella/Epic brand. Yet I would have really liked to receive my Bluestacks to finally put an end to this fiasco. Is there any news when this figure will be shipped?

Specifically 1997 DDP which is where this is based on. I think you'll be surprised to see the black is more regular. He wore white more often when he switched to the jeans but even then would go back to black Otten |

I think I'd prefer the black, but either way just glad this figure is happening, if I had my choice it would be this period, when he was still wearing tights and not the jeans look.

He wore white more often when he switched to the jeans but even then would go back to black Otten Now search for DDP dressed as La Parka. You’ll notice that there is no visible wrist tape! No one is arguing about that specific gear. The discussion is about how to make the most out of a one shot deal. Again, having something that covers multiple looks is more desirable to some than going for the most accurate for a limited run. If this was Mattel it would be a different conversation as they often times have the time and resources to do a character many ways/several times/in several lines. Luke and Kate confirmed there will only be one of these which is why I would be in support of a mashup as opposed to a single look. |

I want DDP in jeans with rib tape. But, I’ll buy the DDP that is released. I think black tape looks cooler.

In the first half of 2024, if I can pick up Onita and Eddie Guerrero, along with the Bulldogs I've already pre-ordered, that'll be a solid 4 figures for me personally, anything else will be gravy. So looking forward to Onita, though.
Is Terry Funk tied to a WWE deal?
There definitely needs to be more Japanese and Mexican names, imo, if possible.
Imagine a Jushin Liger retro. Great Sasuke... Taka Michinoku, Ricky Choshu, Kenta Kobashi, Atlantis, Vampiro, LA Park, Ultimo...
Probably not all possible, but even one or two of those names and I'd be happy to end my figure collecting then and there.

Junk shop dog released two Terry Funk figures (one today!), so I imagine WWE doesn't have exclusive rights. |
