In re-listening to last week’s episode, I’m curious as to whether or not Luke and Kate are considering interchangeable arms for DDP. This would give everyone the best of both worlds when it comes to the wrist tape too. Diamond pose with white tape and standard arms/fist/open hand with black tape would be preferred. “Then I feel you would get people saying “I like the black tape and the diamond hands, wish it was that way round!” Not having a go at those people (or doing a voice) just eluding to you can’t please everyone with colour choices so the more accurate look is a safer route to go imo This was 100% the right call/best way to please the most people. http://instagram.com/p/C12b0jlMnqw http://instagram.com/p/C12cS9dMvMN I’m pumped for this figure!

Will order 2 and repaint 1 set of arms. Great looking figure. Might need more than 2…

DDP looks good but I’m not a fan of soft goods myself.
And swappable arms? Hmm

DDP looks great! Not a fan of softgoods neither, so shirt and extra hands will just be bagged up. And I hope he's not packaged wearing the shirt, so we don't need worry about staining.
Also we need more WCW guys though from all companies. Seems to be this big push of ECW guys, but I'd think WCW would have a wider appeal.

Given that they couldn’t do multiple figures AND they didn’t want to do variants, I think the soft shirt works well. I agree that it shouldn’t be packaged ON the figure. It looks good from what I can tell and I will likely display mine with it.

DDP looks great. Strange it doesn't come with a vest, I'll have to get one off ebay.

Stunning effort with that DDP Equally exciting to hear about the launch of a "Deluxe Edition" of the Megastars line! Can't wait for further details on that.

cannot wait for this!! DDP is one of my favourite WCW characters, and this looks fantastic!
gotta say - for all the crappeople give to Epic after the takeover debacle, they really are releasing quality figures and I hope Series 3 figures look as good as this!

This looks AMAZING!! I’m just worried about the use of magnets. How strong will these magnets be? Are the arms just gonna wiggle around and fall off with a slight breeze?

Glad to see some folks who also agree that soft goods dont belong on retros. Im happier with the brody with no vest for that reason. Id be happier if the fur on boots was molded as well. Funny how that doesn't get brought up in podcasts. Or the staining. That being said, im fine with the shirt. I'll do one with tape and black hands and one with shirt and white hands.

DDP looks great. Feels like they are going more towards ZST style rather than hasbro/cartoon style. Feels like Demo/POP were the last of the more cartoony look which is a shame as I thought they were on a winner here. Again DDP still looks great!

I think soft goods are fine, in moderation. It’s kind of fitting since the Berzerker did have his soft goods cloak. I think, generally, I’m a fan of accessories on retro style figures in small doses.

And Undertaker’s coat…you could even argue Doink’s hair. DDP looks great. Feels like they are going more towards ZST style rather than hasbro/cartoon style. Feels like Demo/POP were the last of the more cartoony look which is a shame as I thought they were on a winner here. Again DDP still looks great! There is a chance it gets “dumbed down” in mass production. Even the if it doesn’t, give me that realistic appearance over the ignominious heads that Mattel has been releasing.

This is a “deluxe” figure so needed to be a more accurate and detailed finish, that being said, things can be detailed and keep the “cartoony” elements to it. It’s just worked better for Demo and PoP because of how they looks in the real life

That will not happen with the magnets, they are like a peg hole with a magnet on the end so it’s not like It’s just magnet on magnet and nothing else holding it in place

DDP looks fantastic and a definite buy….but I like to let my 6 year old and I rumble with the figures, so hope the magnetic arms can hold up to that. I’m trying to raise him right by teaching him about the wrestlers of yesteryear rather than the current product! 😂

Just before Christmas we were watching Survivor Series 91 & Tuesday in Texas, and my boy was really starting to hate on Jake the Snake. When Jake hit Elizabeth, my son turned to me, and with distain in his eye, said “Jake the snake is a d-word!” (Meaning d***head, the only swear word he’s learnt at school so far) 😂 It’s still real to us, dammit!

That's what people always point to, Berzerker and Taker's cloaks, but I look at it this way, Hasbro took a cost cutting approach post S4, up until that point they very rarely reused molds, and whenever something should have been molded it was, no painting over singlets, painting singlets over bare torsos etc. Series 5 forward we saw tons of reused molds and I don't think had they stuck to the quality of S1-S4 we'd of seen Berzerker with the soft goods, or Taker with a soft goods cloak, I think they'd of come up with new molds instead of just slapping an accessory on an existing body.
