Chella has come a long way since Aldis. These are a lot better than what zombie is doing imo. In an ideal world both brands will do great. Chella really improved alot since Aldis. ZST has yet to deliver, but I have high hopes that he will (hopefully those monkey arms will somehow be fixed in production). My concern about this is that there will be a stubborn approach. Like if that is how he himself prefers it or if he is too reluctant to tell Ron that the arms are too long in the drawings. I think that a lot people aren’t bothered by it but I can virtually guarantee that it isn’t a “preferred” look by anyone. You aren’t going to cost yourself sales if you make the arms a little shorter but you are going to do that if you make them too long. |

Its wrestling/toys. Whats better will always be subjective and it'll never be worth arguing about. But if the question is what resembles the hasbro line then the answer is chella. Im loving all these retros more than anything. To be able to continue a line, in spirit, over 25 years later is ridiculously cool

I received an email from Chella this morning updating on the progress with their pre-orders: -Bull Nakano is shipping to them in early October, so they expect to be sending her out to us by the end of October all being well - really looking forward to this one, she looks amazing in the photos they included. -Ethan Page's figures are in final production; the disruption of Covid caused the factory to shut-down for a time so they are catching-up now. -Dynamite Kid was also disrupted by the Covid shutdown; he's also in final production but taking a bit longer due to the accessories he comes with. -Adam Bomb is a few weeks away from final production. -The Wembley Variant Giant Haystacks 7-day pre-order should start in the next week or so. -They are hoping things will be moving a lot quicker now that Covid is easing. Really great to receive that email, good to be updated on how things are developing with them and that they are keeping customers in the loop  |

I saw the email and finally preordered Bull. Really, really excited for her. I don't usually go in for Hasbro style, but having a Bull Nakano on my shelf is going to be fantastic.
Hoping they make more joshi wrestlers. I know Bull has a unique level of crossover for this style due to her New Gen run in WWF, but I'd imagine many people buying her would want some of the other major AJW names.

It’s interesting in that it seems signing lots of talent has become the priority - I’m assuming because he feels if Chella sign them up there won’t be a line. But I hope this doesn’t end up shafting Chella; or those of us who prefer the Chella figures in regard to mixing in with hasbros. I think some ZST figures look great with regard to likenesses & such, but for me the price point is just too high. So it’d be a real shame if he signed up everyone exclusively. Although personally, I kind of think the truest way to ‘carry on’ the Hasbro line is to make customs using original Hasbro parts in creative ways, using some of the fantastic 3d printed/digitally sculpted that are available these days. But I’m not a MOC collector… |

when he started, he kept saying that he had basically 20 wrestlers under contract, and his line was going to be 5 waves, of either 4 or 5 figures per wave.
since then, he's launched wave 1, taken pre-orders for the Jarrett figure, and done nothing else but announce what his next signings are.
no information whatsoever about when actual figures will be reaching collector's hands, just him dicking about on a farm trying to sign Roadkill like it's the greatest signing ever
Chella on the other hand - weeks away from yet another figure reaching customers, they have announced more of their next lineup and soon fans can preorder the brown variant for Giant Haystacks, which is an iconic/classic look for the British wrestling legend
Chella has ties with NJPW now, so whilst Zombie is set on trying to secure contracts for long-forgotten jobbers, Chella are working on releasing figures for well known American, British and now Japanese stars.

Covid slowed down production and distribution worldwide. Chella has issues because of this, so you don't think ZST is having the same issues? Relax and order some figs, then enjoy them once they arrive.

This was his update in mid-August: "Heels and Faces series 2 will be available early next year once series 1 begins to ship" It was buried in a King Kong Bundy update, but it was there. |

Regardless of any other retro figure company’s, what Chella are doing is cool.
I never in a million years thought anyone would be making classic British wrestling legends and yet here we are!
And I know some people were complaining about the recent Aldis variants, but I think it was a pretty cool idea for those that were interested. Whether it was using up left over stock, or something extra, it was cool to get different attires out for those that wanted them.
I was very tempted by the bloody version, but work’s been a bit slow so didn’t end up getting it - but cool none the less!
Really can’t wait for the world to stop being mental and then we’ll be getting them even more regularly!
