Have a look at the video below on Instagram. Adam quickly dropping the f bomb after Pat has a jab at him. Legit or scripted? http://instagram.com/p/CC_vhOVJ4PR If it’s legit I don’t blame Cole. I’d be tired of people taking the same jab at me over and over, who couldn’t even do a small percentage of things that Cole does in the ring. Opinions?

Cole is a professional and these guys are coached to not handle this stuff poorly. This screams work to me. There is no business to be made from ticking off WWE, if the host had really offended him by accident he would have apologized up and down not leaned into it.
I have no idea what this accomplished but it screams work

Lmao that was great. 100% work, and probably a glimpse of where the Adam Cole story is going in the near future.

I'll lean more towards a work.
From what i know, they do (or did) have heat back when Cole was with ROH. But i'm guessing it could just be a stunt to draw attention, if Cole does still have real heat with him, i doubt he'd accept & go on the show. I'm sure Pat's a nice guy, but he does have a personality that can make him look and sound like a d*** sometimes, so maybe the response leading up to the small comment legit pissed Cole off?
Then again, though dropping F bombs isn't the worst thing in the world, WWE usually seems pretty strict on how Wrestler's (Anyone below guys like Lesnar, Taker, Orton etc...) portray themselves outside of WWE, especially NXT guys. So maybe it was a subject that Cole wanted, or even asked him to avoid, but he did it anyway. Which caused him to snap.
I'm no tech expert, but he did shove that presumably expensive Mic down pretty hard, and slam some headphones on the ground.
Maybe it was a worked shoot that shot the work into a working shoot shot, that then worked the shoot, which shot the shoot into a worked working shoot shot.

Fantastic acting from Cole if a work tbf, props for that. Are WWE more lenient about swearing these days for works then?

I’m 95% sure it is a work. If so, it’s a damn fine acting job from everyone.

Oddly enough Adam's Cole reaction is the same reaction I had every time the Titans would play the Colts during McAfee's time there.

Pat sent out a tweet following the podcast saying that Cole broke several things during the confrontation and the he would not be having him back, also posting screen grabs of when he contacted him to be on the show to squash their prior beef.

Lol yeah hilarious but huge work and not even a question. Can tell Cole went for maximum sound when he pushed buddy too. Had that nice clean chop ring to it 👌

So what the hell does this lead to? McAfee leading a War Games team? McAfee getting in the ring? Cole becoming Sean Penn and beating up paparazzi?

Think it was just a convenient way to a) plug Pat, b) plug NXT to Pat's non wrestling audience, and c) help develop where Adam Cole is going as a character without having to rush him right back to tv after losing the title. I mean who knows, maybe McAfee's been training and we're gonna get some awful Lawrence Taylor special. I just kinda figured it was showing us that Cole is gonna be coming back with a major chip on his shoulder after losing his belt.

Seems like a work to me.
Maybe it's just something they wanted to do to get a little buzz. MVP & Lashley worked some confrontation at a restaurant not too long.

Adam's still upset about when his Dad, Michael, was angered by McAfee wearing shorts to WrestleMania. This just escalated it.

Definitely a work, but a well done work. I admire it for at least coming across as fairly legit in terms of how Adam Cole lost it at the line of questioning/prodding by McAfee. The fact that it has a good amount of people questioning it means they've done a good job with the segment.

At first i only seen the clip where pat called him short and he snapped. I was 50/50 on if it was a work or not. Ut after watching the entire segment it screams work pat was taking jabs from the start

It was clearly a worked segment. Cole and McAfee have had an on-air rivalry in NXT going back for YEARS.
