Let me preface this by saying dear God, or Bill, or Steve...whoever holds the most power in the world of wrestling collectible figures, PLEASE do justice to this awesome incarnation of this team that has been done dirty more times than I can count. The look of LOD 2000 is such a “made for a toy” look that it’s almost aggravating to think it’s been so long since they’ve been done correctly! First, he are some pics of LOD 2000 as I would personally love for them to appear. They have made minor tweaks to the look as they went through the year but the original ‘Mania 14 debut version was the best to me. The debut look featured motorcycle style helmets, Animal and Hawk had full heads of hair, and they had the shoulder pads with spikes on opposite sides of the pads, plus the pad had a graffiti look to it. Now...here are some products over the years that in my opinion have been done best! (There aren’t many but the closest we’ve gotten to an accurate look hasn’t been done since they actually wrestled in these attires over 20 years ago) Believe it or not these wrestling buddies are the closest we ever got in 22 years, to these attires done justice! Every time they’ve attempted these attires, they each have gotten some things right and some things wrong...but they’ve never put it all together and just done them right. These have the right pads, paint and attire...and I'm pretty sure they even have the correct hair! The headsculpt, specifically the hair is imperative! The wrestling buddies are only really missing the helmets and although of all things to leave out, these are the most expendable...but at the same time it’s what makes them so unique as LOD 2000. The helmets are awesome and perfect for a toy All in all these are almost perfect! The only downside is they aren’t figures they’re wrestling buddies haha. But they are near perfect Attachment DeletedThe second time they got them ALMOST right we’re the Bone Crunch’n Jakks figures! These are really cool but you’ll start to see the pattern of righting one wrong, but adding more wrongs haha. These got the hair right on Hawk, but still used the Mohawk for Animal, although they did make it lighter so it looked more like a crew cut. These also have the helmets, and the only time it would happen, which was awesome and the attire were mostly correct aside from the tank top on Hawk which I don’t remember him wearing. Face paint is great! Pads made the concession of going all silver instead of the graffiti which works but it looks so awesome with the right shoulder pad deco...and they have standard pads on, not the custom one sided spike version. Now...the trash! It’s been a long time since the original LOD 2000 figures were made, but they have shown up in the Jakks Pacific Classic Superstars line THREE TIMES! In three attempts they never improved on the previous release, releasing products that just seemed senselessly inaccurate. Each installment seemingly replaced an old inaccuracy with a NEW inaccuracy! The first release and by far the most embarrassing was this classic Superstars version of Animal. To kick off what’s wrong with it...it must first be stated that at that time there never was a LOD 2000 Hawk released along side it. They released this LOD 2000 Animal and an NWA Road Warriors Hawk in the same series, So you couldn’t even make the team...only Animal. Aside from that, the paint is wrong and looks like it was just a reused head from a previous release, and per usual he has the old school hair style instead of the full head of hair he had at the time. It can’t be overstated that this version of LOD needs its own unique head-sculpts and face paint! They also did the lazy, inaccurate silver pads with full spikes and this figure doesn’t even have knee pads, which were essential to the look since Animal wore shorts and it just looks bad with such an empty leg design. Attachment DeletedSecond attempt. Admittedly these are “better” but still, it’s not saying much. There is a big difference between doing something well and doing it better than last time. These are merely better than last time. To start, we at-least have a Hawk to go with our Animal, so that’s nice haha. Once again though the hair is wrong, the pads are wrong, Animals paint is wrong...same old stuff. They did get Hawks paint right, and the attire this time is actually pretty accurate. Still no helmets Attachment DeletedIn a Hat Trick of attempts, this is the third time Jakks took a crack at the LOD 2000 look. I had high hopes for these as they were Ringside Exclusives! I though ok, they are finally going to put the money into this design and sculpt unique parts for this unique look rather than piecing together parts of Road Warriors past to create these Frankenstein LOD 2000 designs. In what would be my greatest disappointment, these were no better and I was baffled. All that really changed here was that we got the previously correct knee pads removed, we substituted the wrong shoulder pads with another pair of wrong shoulder pads but turned them black for whatever reason. Head sculpts are still wrong, blah blah blah...we did add a decent Sunny though. Attachment DeletedIn closing...I hope I have THOROUGHLY expressed my love for these designs and just how wrong they have been done to date. The closest we’ve gotten we’re the original toys to come out over 20 years ago, but to this day we have never gotten just a solid replica of the WrestleMania 14 LOD 2000. Jakks contributed absolutely nothing. This version of LOD would be best suited as an exclusive or an Ultimates release due to the high amount of detail. They are commonly frankensteined together using old Road Warrior parts and sculpts and they are never done justice. Not only should these be done, they should be done well! Please make these 🤟

While I hope you get them and I do love LOD I hated the LOD 2000 look and gimmick. Animal wearing shorts killed It for me. It made them look less cool with him in shorts. There are some attire looks I could never get behind. Such as... Animal wearing shorts. Warrior wearing the singlet. Macho going from trunks to the cowboys hats and tights. Jericho switching from tights to shorts.
I never got use to any of those changes.

Kane taking off his mask, Big Show in the no legs onsie, Flair in a t shirt, Kidman switching to basic wrestling tights and Bubba in shorts.

I would like to see LOD 2000 figures made in the Mattel ultimates line and to include the helmets.

I would buy LOD 2000 in a snap. Im also mystified by the inability to get them right....Jakks were lazy f*ckers. They knew certain guys would sell and put minimal effort into them.
