I cringe every time I see someone say "_____ should have been world champion"...That title not being bounced around like a rubber biscuit is what made titles so important back in those days. Are guys like Perfect, DiBiase, Piper etc all World Champion material? Absolutely. However if everyone gets the title then it no longer has prestige. Sorry, once Warrior got it, the title lost all prestige. Rude would have been a much better option to take the title from Warrior, then have Hogan win it back from him instead of Slaughter |

Earthquake, 100%. He was over, knew how to work as a superheavyweight main event heel, and had the credibility with fans that he easily could have been WWF champion.
