So many things wrong with this thread. Like how did you come to make the decision that 2020 would be the year? Were you waiting for parental approval? Now that you’ve decided 2020 is the year, it seems like you’ve thought of getting multiple bc you identified this year as when you’ll get your “first” tattoo. Correct me if I’m wrong. You’ve come to the land of basement dwellers, neckbeards, mouth breathers and effeminate rats for advice on permanent body art? I guarantee a high percentage of board members have some sort of Goldberg type tattoo or a superman S. Both are tired and worn out. The best advice you’ll get is, don’t get one. who hurt you? You got that Goldberg jawn huh lol

Get Mike Tyson's face tattoo.
But like everyone else said, if you can't decide on your own what you want, you aren't ready for a tattoo. It took me years to figure out what I wanted first, but as soon as you get that first one you're brain is just gonna load up with ideas for more.

Lol wow this thread went animal crackers in a hurry.
Are you actually 16 like your profile says? Wouldn't you need your folks to sign off on it? Maybe it works different in your country I have no idea. In Canada we need parents to sign off if its under 18, and most artists here would still refuse to do it except for some circumstances. (Parent-child tattoos where they get the same thing are common, and the other one I can think of recently is a girl I used to coach who is a cancer survivor who got something to commemorate that at 16. I could also see them being willing if it was to cover up something like cutting scars, etc).
I was going to comment with some actual helpful advice in terms of placement, etc, etc, but if you're actually 16 then I'm sorry I just can't. It's too young. You've got years to get your body covered. I got my first at 22. I'm 31 now, and I've done my left pec, a half sleeve on my left arm & shoulder blending into it a bit (still planning on blending it more when we blend it into my upper back as well on my left side. It's "complete" for now though, I'll revisit it in a few years to do the next design). a small one on the inside of my right arm, and my right calf covered. There are definitely people who have done a lot more in 9 years than I've did, but this s*** adds up in a hurry $$$ wise.
If you were over 18 I'd offer some actual advice in terms of placement, finding an artist, etc, but if you're a minor and still trying to settle on an idea, hold the thought. Those ideas will still be there in a few years, and probably improved upon. Like the guy above me said, as soon as you get one, you're brain is gonna explode with a million more. Tattooing is a journey, and your body is limited in space for it. Enjoy the journey and take your time with it. I'm not the most covered guy yet, but I'm definitely a tattoo guy, and in the long run you're gonna love 'em. But if you're 16, just wait it out dude. Honestly I'd say as soon as you get past the college party phase, then it's time. For some that might be 18-19 maybe they got the rebel phase done completely in high school, for others it might be 22-23, maybe they were late bloomers there. Once that rebel phase ends, it's go time. Far less likely to get crap you're gonna wanna cover up later anyways. I don't even mean in a "omg I hate it I want to die" type cover up, I mean more in a "wow I really wasted this prime location on a piece of crap" type cover up.

Cody really should have put that tattoo on the BACK of his neck. It would have fit better there.

Here's an idea I've had forever. You know how Steve Austin has a Texas tattoo on his leg? I'm thinking of getting a similar tattoo. Basically the same one but with my state. Steve Austin is my dad's favorite wrestler, my dad liked him so much it's the reason I'm named Austin. That's most likely the one I'll get first.

When I was younger-at different times- some of the things I was considering getting was the arashikage symbol, ripped off flesh exposing mechanical parts (like a terminator) and a nude tinker bell. But, I was also broke most of the time so never did get any ink...and relieved I dodged that bullet in retrospect.

Not gonna lie I contemplated the Terminator tattoo for a while myself, then I realized I just wasn't into it. I might actually be a smart young person.

It's physically impossible to be from Wyoming, all eight people who live there are over the age of 60 and are retired.

I have my legs, chest, arms, hands, and back filled. Make sure your first tattoo is on your sternum. Or, the inside of your arm or chest by the armpit.

You can't go far wrong with one that symbolises your state or country. As long as it's not too big. Tattoos of people can let you down eventually (looking at Lost Prophets, Chris Benoit, an ex lover for example.) But you're always going to have an affinity with your state.

I'm getting my first tattoo sometime this year. Any ideas for what and where? So many things wrong with this thread. Like how did you come to make the decision that 2020 would be the year? I need to find the Vincent DiNofrio gif of him clapping. Well said, sir.

I feel bad for anyone with a Bill Cosby tattoo.
