The left arm should be reserved for Starland Vocal Band. ”Starland Vocal Band?! They suck!” Which one is a 13? I’m afraid you’ll get a 31

The obvious suggestion here is a Limp Bzikit tattoo

I have 21 tats on my arms, legs, and back. I got my first 16 years ago when I was 23. Sandman inspired Barbed wire around my wrist. I got 4 more that year. I've got animals, signs, names and so on. When I started getting them I heard a lot of (mostly from family) you're not going to want those when you're 40. I'm 39. Zero regrets and I'm looking forward to more.

Don't get any face tattoos. Face tattoos hands down bring a bad misconception about you and also prevents you from getting job you may be interested in.
You need to take into consideration that certain spot hurt more when getting a tattoo in that area too.

As Brian Setzer said, "Never get a tattoo where a judge can see it."

Holy crap people are so helpful here huh...
Check out different styles, Traditional Neo-traditional Realistic Trash polka There's a load out there and not all mix well, like trash polka wouldn't look right next to some traditional work. Find a style you like first.
We don't know you from Adam so it's a bit hard to make suggestions as we don't know your style preferance or anything like that, my next tattoo will be bigfoot or some form of cryptid, which is awesome for me, but probably not many other people's first choice for a tattoo lol.
A lot of people say bands or what have you is a good choice and while you may grow out of liking a certain band it's fine because it's part of your story, I'd say just don't make it too big so that you an cover it if you end up hating the band, or if they end up being outed as child molesters or something ( I have snaggletooth on my right hand and Taker on my forearm I can't imagine what I'd do if news broke that they'd done something heinous years ago that was covered up)
Animals are always a good shout though! Theyre never out dated, they won't end up in the media for terrible crimes.
I do strongly advise that you don't go too big for your first, there's nothing wrong with having to tap out if the pain gets too bad, artists would rather you tap than pass out on the table, but half finished tats are awful. Ive seen so many people with half done tats that need finishing and it's tedious hearing them come up with excuses when in actual fact they just can't handle that pain.
Holla if you need any advice or help.

Here's an idea I've had forever. You know how Steve Austin has a Texas tattoo on his leg? I'm thinking of getting a similar tattoo. Basically the same one but with my state. Steve Austin is my dad's favorite wrestler, my dad liked him so much it's the reason I'm named Austin. That's most likely the one I'll get first. Just a piece of advice as I'm not pro-tattoo or anti-tattoo. Let me suggest that the correct frame of mind is "I identify with something so strongly that I want to emblazon it on my body permanently." Tastes can and do change, so be extremely careful when considering pop culture-based designs. If you decide that you do indeed want one, make it personal. You sound like you're on the right track by taking inspiration from your dad and your name, even with the Austin influence. I'm not trying to dissuade you, I'm just saying that permanent body art should be something that represents a facet of your life that is immutable.

Just get a bunch of memes tattooed, those won't become irrelevant!

In all seriousness I kinda want to get a couple objectively stupid tattoos most likely all on my legs.

Put it this way: a tattoo is like a permanent bumper sticker.
