I don't know if I'm in the minority, but I have no desire to see them have another match when Edge returns. After Backlash I was hoping that their feud was over, but it feels that they're headed for another collision down the line.
Seriously how much more can they do? So far they've had a backstage brawl at Mania and then The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever at Backlash so do fans really want another match?
I would rather see Edge move on and compete with other guys instead of having repetitive matches with Orton.

With the rumors of them going on until next year, I'm disappointed. I'd rather see Edge wrestle newer guys, but they probably feel it's safer to have him wrestle Orton.

Apparently they are scheduled for Wrestlemania next year in a I Quit Match.
I could easily see Randy beating Drew, holding it until Wrestlemania and dropping it to Edge.

If Orton's going to be a transitional champion for Edge he would be better wining the belt at The Rumble and then have Edge win the rumble match that night. It would be unfair on Drew if they stripped him off the belt this early.

He's possibly the best WWE champion we've had in years and I couldn't imagine Orton holding the belt for 8 months. At this stage of his career he would be more suited with a short reign.

Did they refuse to create a new star when they had Drew beat Brock in what, 4 minutes at Wrestlemania?

If Orton beats Drew only to hold the WWE Title to drop it to Edge, then Edge may as well wrestle Hulk Hogan and drop the WWE Title to him. I am sick of seeing these old retired guys come back and take the top spot.
Does Vince not remember what hurt WCW in the ratings?? It was the same old guys constantly being in the main event and holding the World Title.

True, imagine in 1998 Austin gets sacrificed in order to give Hogan and Warrior another Mania title match.

First I’ve heard about the “I Quit” match idea but if they do head that way then have Orton beat Drew for the title only for him to lose it to whoever via Edge screwing Orton over to set up Edge/Orton. There is no need those 2 should be in a WWE title match together in 2020/21.

I'd much rather have Edge vs. Christian as next WM

I think it'd be awesome for Edge to win the title again.

You are too funny JD. I will say that i have zero interest in a WWE title feud between Orton and Edge, it doesn't need the title. I can understand them wanting to put the title on Orton as he is doing tremendous heel work at the moment but Drew deserves a title match at mania next year if there is crowds back then.(no guarantee there as mental as that sounds) if there is still no crowds next year then i guess i would be Ok with Edge vs Orton for the title, without the crowd there it dosen't matter as much who is the champion.

It's tough, I mean yeah, I'd love to see Edge wrestle new guys. But ultimately, no one wants edge to get destroyed in his comeback and lose a whole bunch, so if you put him against new guys, you're feeding new guys to the old guard or making Edge seem incapable in his comeback. Keeping Edge in a main feud with Orton at the beginning kinda helps Edge tell a winning story connected to his past, before hopefully taking a couple of meaningful losses to put a couple younger guys over big as he gets ready to re-retire. They could definitely do something like Orton steals the title, Edge takes it really quick from Orton, and then drops it to a young guy at Mania to really put the guy over. Beating Orton? Special but it doesn't feel like it. Beating Brock? Special, but ok maybe Brock wanted money or a break. Beating Edge? Ok I guess they really believe in this guy.

I’d have Drew and Orton go to dusty finish at Summer Slam ending in a brawl, have Orton take the title off Drew in September. Have Orton have “Neo” Age of Orton have Drew fight a struggle to regaining the title after losing Last Chance match in Hell in a Cell. Have Orton go on brutal run.
On the Night of the Rumble, Edge returns costing Orton the title in Triple Threat match that feature some over Heel. Have Drew come close to winning the Rumble an fail. Have Drew finally catch his break winning a Chamber match to regain the title in front of live crowd. Have Edge and Orton have blow off match at Mania if we’re gonna be complicated
I wouldn’t mind Edge having one more run but Drew deserves a fair shake

Honestly I'm just thankful Edge came back. I've seen people groan about him and Orton but this is all gift, imagine going back in time to last year and saying yeah people are complaining about another Edge and Orton match in 2021. I'm sure he'll wrestle some younger talent but either way I'm just glad he got to comeback, he truly loves this business and wants to go out the right way.

Did they refuse to create a new star when they had Drew beat Brock in what, 4 minutes at Wrestlemania? They didn’t but to be fair, if Lesner still wanted to be champion he would still be champion. The decision wasn’t solely based on Drew’s merit alone so I wouldn’t consider it the best example of them creating new stars.
