My Walmart had their reset done a few days ago, but today was the first day they had a "do not inventory" tag on the shelf and pegs for AEW. Nothing else in toys says "do not inventory".

I almost feel as if putting a launch date wasn’t the way to go. You’re gonna have a lot of people getting to Walmart at open looking to grab these. Most likely beaten to the punch by scalpers. Or Wal-Mart just isn’t gonna have these out if these resets aren’t done. So you’re just gonna have a lot of angry people tomorrow. I hope I’m wrong. I have Jericho on preorder so I should get him this week but I would like to grab Omega and possibly Cody.

Are they showing stock on brickseek for you? I'm in a pretty large metro with a lot of Walmart locations to choose from, so hopefully Brickseek is more accurate with these figures than they are with Elites. I'm also not 100% sure if we have the right Brickseek number yet. I don't think anyone has said they're showing in stock on Brickseek for them. no but I did call and speak to the toy manager who happens to know me and he did In fact say they do have them but they can’t be put out until tomorrow on the shelf!

I never understood "street dating" toys, especially wrestling figures. It's not like these are toys from a movie and they are trying to sync them up with a theatrical release so interest is at its peak and kids want the toys after seeing the movie.
It's wrestling...like why a specific date? Wrestling is weekly...people who want AEW figures want them as soon as they can get them. If they are in the store physically right now, they should be able to be sold. Obviously I'm not in the business, so unless there is something I'm missing, I don't see any advantage of refusing to sell them before a specific date.

I can CONFIRM that my local Walmart had two cases today in the back. They do not show in stock on the site or on brickseek because they have not been inventoried. They are waiting to put them out for the reset. The employee that cracked the cases open showed me what was inside...interestingly, there were two case breakdowns like this: -2 Cody -2 Kenny 2 Jericho -1 Matt -1 Nick Interesting that neither full case had a Brandi...will she be a floater in the wave possibly? So we aren't waiting anymore on shipment delays, we are waiting on Walmarts to do their resets. Theyre back there folks... These ship in a case quantity of 6, meaning there are only 6 items in the case, these do not come with a quantity of 8.

Yesterday my stores delivery date was updated to 8/4, then changed back to 8/5, as of tonight, slated to arrive on 8/6 IIRC earlier in the thread you mentioned being a Walmart manager. Why would the set not be showing up on Brickseek? Do you mean as far as brickseek stating out of stock? If so it means they are physically not in the building. The minute any freight hits a Walmart it’s automatically added to the system, that goes for street dates items such as movies and video games. Here’s a quick breakdown, so usually 24 hours prior to a truck delivery we can pull a prenotification report which states what’s arriving via a department breakdown. From there some stores have been upgraded to a “fast” unloader essentially a machine that scans every box as it comes off the truck and it automatically adds it to the inventory. The other method is a regular unload and then finalizing the truck. Which involves going into the handheld device and saying we received the truck, it then adds the inventory scanned onto the truck into the stores inventory. I can guarantee you these stores stating they have to add them to inventory tomm/tonight are speaking non truth, this isn’t 1998. From what I’ve tracked in the stores I’ve looked up through the Walmart system they are set to arrive 8/5 and 8/6. They are not street dated which means they would be stocked upon arrival, most stores stock the new freight weather the mod is set or not to keep the Backroom empty. Therefore to answer your question if brick seek says it’s out of stock it means either a they don’t have it, or b an employee bought upon arrival. Hope this helps

It's also important to note that if they have an arrival date of 8/5, that potentially means they're on that day's truck and may not be stocked until overnight or by the toy dept. the following day.

Didn’t find anything in the 757 area of VA. did you have an associate check the back? I was told by 2 associates today that the release date is 8/5 and that’s the day they would arrive!
