Ok, so I’ve begun collecting the OSTFM series and I don’t know if it’s ever been covered, but what the hell is up with season 3? Why did they do repainted mainly in colors guys never wore? Also, why is purple New Jack so hard to come by? Here’s what I’ve got so far:  |

The later waves were only released at like TRU, KB and at some stores like Ames.
They did weird repaints but there's no like...reason for it.

These were great figures! I worked at TRU around 9/11, just before college, and these figures were so plentiful. I remember seeing the purple Taz and yellow/red Dreamer. Lol!

Awesome wasn’t cheap. I only have like 11 so far, I'll get a picture of what I have soon. I don't want the whole collection, at all. There's 23 individuals I believe, that's my target #. All the repaints aren't a deal breaker for me. I just picked and choose which variations I liked the most. Luckily I got Lynn in a small lot for 10$ each guy. |

Tommy says on Major WF Pod Live 5 the reason those came out is that Heyman wanted as much $ as possible and told OSFTM, put out anything. So they did. Tommy in a Twitter DM told me he stopped another weird colored Dreamer from coming out. |

This is cool.
I remember these at Dollar General back in the day. IIRC I saw the figures before I ever was introduced to the promotion.
Actually, not that I think about it, that Dollar General also had the WWE Bend-Ems. I never bought any of either line. I was already hooked on Jakks by that point and didn't see the point of "Downgrading"
I sort of regret it, actually. I wish I could go back in time and snag some of those old ECW figs. I'd still pass on the Bend-ems though.
