All my Wallys show OOS for now, but I did come across one store yesterday that had their pegs labeled for series 1.

This is a big flub on Jazzwares and reflects on AEW poorly.
Also...you gotta stop believing whatever random Walmart employees tell you

I stopped in a store where the manager said today for sure and he showed me his device, it said 08/05 but never arrived but he did say theyāre scheduled for 4 cases next week and they are planogrammed for an endcap for the fall so thatās good news. The funny thing is, they wonāt even last long enough to be on an endcap as we all are buying them immediately lol.

One of my stores was supposed to have them today. I walk in and find nothing. I asked an employee if he could scan the peg to tell me when they might arrive. All he said was āWe havenāt gotten any of our new stuff out yet.ā Like...yeah, I get that, but when might yet get these?
This release coming at the same time that Walmart was resetting the department has been a total nightmare.

Wal-Mart manager here again, so I much like a lot of you were supposed to get these in with an eta of 8/5, but I did not. However we got in 3 cases of rings, but they were on the manifest and the system says we have none. On todayās truck is two cases of belts, but the system says itās a supplier out and wonāt be here till 8/14 and none are on the way. It seems these issues are only affecting this line, with all this being said, they may just arrive when the arrive and tracking them from Walmart devices may prove useless.

Still nothing today (shocker) and a worker told me she doesn't have a release date.

I dont mind them advertising the 8/3 release date honestly. I always viewed it as a suggested starting gun to begin the hunt, not so much that I'd be guaranteed to see them at any walmart I went to. And for the most part, everyone thinks they'll he popping up any day now. It sucks not finding them but I enjoy searching and hunting, its part of it. If you hate what's happening right now go-ahead and go pre order series 2 on RSC so I can save you some headaches and complaining.

Third day checking my local Walmart. Finally ran across an associate stocking and asked if they had any AEW figures, or knew when theyād receive any (all while pointing to the empty pegs I was referring to). Her response without scanning any of the labels was: āNope, no. I donāt know. We got an email saying stuff was on back order. Donāt know, sorry.ā
I have a feeling itāll be a while before I see any of these in stores š

You guys are acting like this has never happened before with other toy lines. Advertised dates havenāt meant anything for years, Iām surprised you think they would during a pandemic.

Stopped at my usual Walmart, again more pallets out and the toy section is a nightmare being re-done. No signs of anything on the pallets and the workers were in no mood. Shelves were empty.

Think Iām gonna go ahead and call it already. All WMs near me still show 0 stock as of this morning and it seems lots of others on here are seeing about the same. Donāt know how Walmartās distribution works but hopefully tomorrow... Iāve noticed that the mid-size ones near me have stocked and sold out. The smaller ones donāt have pegs out and donāt have a reputation for being a good hunting spot. The larger ones have said that itāll likely be next week. I know that doesnāt help a ton, but keep your head up!

Itās more so how they pushed the date on tv and such. Usually itās just a known thing by collectors, but in this aspect itās basically false advertising

I think it has more to do with them offering a very specific date. Most of the time when toy lines do that you can usually expect them to have it stocked or be in the process of stocking. Honestly I was surprised when they said āAvailable August 3rdā and had their social media accounts do a count down. I was thinking weād get a vague āAvailable August 2020ā or āAvailable Late Summer 2020ā. All that said I donāt mind the fig hunt, first time Iāve done one in about 10 years or so. Hope for everyone that the wait isnāt too much longer.

At a Walmart near me, an employee told me on Monday that they'd have them today. Went this morning, and a different employee told me they were supposed to come yesterday, but they still don't have any.
But my set from Ringside came, so that will hold me for now.

Gotta share a quick story. So last night I went to a rural area Walmart after work to check the stock (they had the pegs out yesterday morning). I grabbed a Kenny & a Cody leaving 1 Omega left (only 3 figs from the case when I got there). There was a kid (6-7) looking at WWE stuff next to me with his mom (they only had belts and basics). He got excited because they had the blue tag title and EC3 (of all people, kid seemed like a fan). He saw me grab my figures and he looked at the AEW space in awe. He saw the title and immediately dropped the tag belt and showed his mom. He then saw Omega and was stunned. "Who is that?" I told him that AEW is on tonight (last night) and how cool I thought Omega was. I got it down for him and he stared at it for a long time. I didn't stick around to see if he got it or not (I'm a grown man with a beard and I had already spent too much time talking to the kid. I didn't need security investigating me. lol), but I thought it was cool for a family to find out about AEW from the toys. I'm curious to see as these become more prevalent if the audience for AEW noticeably grows.
