That's a BS response by Jeremy, just own up and say we dropped the ball and that they should be on shelves hopefully later this week but no promises.Bot Jeremy & Ringside are really beating around the bush with how their handling things right now.Yes I'll survive and hopefully will have some of these figures in the next week but just own up to the failure and move on instead of making up lame excuses that don't hold water.
bty the COVID reason and toy rest both are total BS.We've been deal with the COVID issue and issue of goods coming from overseas for the entire year and the rests are also BS as a lot of us have found the ring and belts on shelves at Wal Mart marked and unmarked.Wal Mart will put things out on shelves without a planogram or the proper space and will and can create tags to put on the shelves for the place of the product for the time being, did that all of the time back in the day when I work for the likes of Target,Best Buy & Sears.

I'm glad Jeremy is taking responsibility for putting a hard date on launch. They say "Early August" and it's a non-factor today. It's an overall bummer that they've stumbled out of the gate between pre-orders, not being in-stock on "launch day", and warnings about a shortage at retail. It's a great sign of leadership to take full responsibility, especially when most of it isn't your fault. The guy is a class act and I'm confident in the future of this line even though Series 1 is going to be crazy hard to come by.

It's a pretty well known fact among every collecting community that Walmart is the worst when it comes to anything related to street dates/exclusives etc. Why anyone here would expect anything different is comical. I didn’t go out hunting this morning because Brickseek says out of stock everywhere, but I can’t blame people who did. AEW ran multiple advertisements that Walmart would have these available on 8/3, and this is after taking the Covid shipping delays into account. The ring and belt start poping up early too, and add Cody asking people to post pictures of their Walmart’s today with AEW merch, and I can’t blame people for expecting them to be available on the date that they have been advertised to be available. If Walmart can hit street dates with movies and videos games, why not with other products (I know toys don’t bring in the revenue movies and games do but it’s still an exclusive and is another source of revenue)? The thing is that Walmart could have have had these since June and still !@#$ it up. They would have been on pegs already and ether register locked ("recalled" as Walmart likes to put it) or sold through already way before the actual release date. Look at how bad they have historically messed up stuff like Star Wars Midnight Madness? It's a WORLDWIDE event where every retailer opens at midnight to sell new product. Walmart advertises it as such...and still puts nothing on the shelves until a week later OR even worse had it out a week before. Anyway it's common knowledge that Walmart will never stick the street date. The video game and movie example doesn't really work - they mess that up all the time. Exclusive toys are never and will never be a priority for Walmart. They are simply a lure to get people into the store to buy other shit.

Some really entitled people in here lol Its not being entitled to want a legit straight answer,or for not delivering on a date you had full control over announcing of August 3rd but still going with it.If you weren't 100% confident that you could deliver on said date don't announce it as a launch date and just give a general release date like "Early August" or something like "Coming to your local Wal Marts sometime this August" pretty simple.
As far as Ringside go my issue and a lot of others is what looks like their completely random system on how the process orders.Really simple on how orders are shipped and process goes by date orders where place so earliest orders get pulled first and then shipped out based on you shipping method. So you order back in in Feb when they went on pre sale and used Express or next day then you should have your order processed 1st and in hand.I myself used regular USPS which is like the 3rd rated shipping method on ringside so have zero issues with people who place their order the same time as me but used a faster shipping method getting them 1st or people who order around the same time as myself but live in a closer state getting them before me.
Seem like most people don't understand the proper method of placement and shipping order,I do this for a living.Only exception again is if you have a giant order and can't completely full fill it then you use whatever was going towards that order to full other smaller orders if your stock is low.

I mean, I kinda get it. This hunt is gonna be crazy toxic. That’s why I preordered. I figured this might happen lol I have some frustration from working in logistics and how we do back orders/preorders is shipping from oldest open orders to the newest. So I sometimes have a hard time separating that this might not be how other companies work. I preordered as well mine haven’t shipped yet and it’s bothering me because I haven’t been excited for a new set like this in so long. Elites aren’t hitting the spot for me anymore as far as excitement goes. I hope mine ship soon so I have them for the weekend being pretty far from RSC makes it about a 4 day travel point. It seems as if most people don’t remember how bad the Mattel launch was though. I found 0 figures launch day.

Way back on launch date which was what 1/10/10 I think for Mattel found the complete 1st wave at the very 1st Target I hit.Had little to know issue with finding the 1st handful of waves from Mattel.Things in the past few years have changed and stuff isn't as easy to find.
Only regret is that we didn't get that Jeff Hardy in series 1.So pumped for that figure to go along with Edge,MVP,Punk,Rey & Taker, killer fist set.

I'm into board games too, and though the market is crazy saturated right now, the few really 'big deal' games that come out, good luck. If you missed the kickstarter you're waiting forever. If you get on an early pre-order list you can get lucky, but even then retailers get short-shipped all the time. It's actually much worse than wrestling figures.

I’m more surprised at the reaction to no figures on shelves than I am the figures not hitting shelves. It’s not that big of a deal. You want it as bad as some of you guys are acting like you do just pre order it from now on. Glad I did.

I hope this thread stays on track and doesn't get deleted. Curious to read thru here after work and see how you guys are feeling. Personally I don't really care, yeah it sucked coming up empty handed but I had a feeling the launch date wasn't going to pan out... so I was kinda prepared. Oh well.

To the people who're saying Jazwares/AEW/Walmart should have just said "August" instead of a set date, imagine having to check in at Walmart every morning for an entire month....
