A couple people have slightly misinterpreted the one part of my post and I can totally see how. To be clear, no it is not your job to control what people do on the AEW boards, nor was I suggesting or trying to suggest that it is. I'm sorry if it felt like that's what I was saying, it is not at all what I meant. Honestly I've kind of found my own fun in dealing with their trolling crap at this point, and as a result it seems to be happening less. Honest question, have you tried privately messaging the people that only come here to bash WWE? I ask, because the reason I made the post, is God's Last Gift is not one of those people. I see the comments of people than only come to bash WWE, I have acknowledged it myself multiple times, but he's never been one of those people from as much as I can tell. If it was one of the people who regularly only trash it who had that question asked to them, yes, I wouldn't have blinked twice either. (nor would I really have made this post. I tend not to think too hard when people call out tang lol) But if people are getting caught in the crossfires for what was a legitimate suggestion (not even a total criticism, it was a post like "Hey, this thing could end up being really cool if..."), then somethings gone awry.
Likewise, I frequently feel caught in the crosshairs. Thankfully the post that I felt was very rude towards me did get deleted, by either yourself, Jack, or the original poster I'm not sure, but I do appreciate it being removed. It's not the first post where I've kind of felt 'called out' on here either. Honestly I felt a little under fire by your big post that I agreed with most of too. You mentioned graphs here again. There's only really one person I can think of that fits that bill, and maybe privately messaging him would be more appropriate, because, and again, this is just my interpretation, it sounds like a passive aggressive calling him specifically out. I have said it before, but I genuinely find ratings data interesting. I respect that you don't, and that most others don't. I really enjoy it and I do think it's interesting. I didn't exactly feel awesome having that interest belittled either. I'm hopeful it was never the intent, but were these sorts of things started privately, maybe that would be helpful. (If they were and things escalated despite that, then yeah that's a different scenario, obviously I'm not privy to your private message)
I only tagged you in this because I thought very specifically about your post that was lamenting how this board had become, not because I thought you were organizing some sort of group. (Retribution?. #ifyaknowyaknow ) If you felt I was tagging you to suggest this is all your fault, I'm sorry. Not my intent at all. You mentioned here it's gotten worse since AEW started, and I'll take your word for that. I was just trying to point out, that it's not just a bunch of AEW trolls coming over here to bash things. There is a lot of the toxicity rooted in these boards themselves. Heck a lot of the super negative stuff (not all, not saying all) I read in this thread came from people who I've never seen in the AEW section, or who spend their time trashing it as well as this. Lately half the time I see AEW mentioned here, it's from a couple toxic people who don't contribute much to those boards either, but the other times, its guys who are only on this board using it to try and bait and cause trouble.
why care about what improvements could be implemented?
Also, regarding the member who posts the graqhs/ratings in the RAW threads... He's not doing it because it's interesting, he's doing it to show WWE in a bad light - he revels in it.
1) Things can be better and providing constructive criticism comes from a place of sincerely wanting the product to be better.
2) If you're passively referring to me (it's a thing here, I guess), I don't revel in WWE being terrible. Wrestling as a whole would be better if the largest promotion was doing well. My expectations for WWE are high, mainly because of the massive roster they've stockpiled. Some of the most talented wrestlers in the entire world work there and I'd love to see them shine. I'm not going to apologize for not keeping my head in the sand and ignore the downward trend WWE is heading in. Go back and read my post about the ratings this week. They went up almost across the board. I didn't come up with an excuse or hope they go back down.
