Two of the champions I want to see are Joe and a second run for Kevin Owens, the more I think about it the more I think they missed the opportunity for Joe to win the World Champion, he has been out of action a majority of this year and I'm starting to feel he's become injury prone.

Probably too late. They should have had him win it against Styles during their feud over it. Considering the basis of the angle was that Joe was in Styles' head it would have made the angle stronger if he won it outright during their first match instead of having it end a DQ, and then Styles could have won it back a couple months later. But alas, not to be. And man I wish he would have beaten Kofi for it as well.
Owens will definitely win it again though.

Never say never in professional wrestling, but yeah... I'd say odds or it's probably too late. Joe should have beat Lesnar for the Universal title some years back. He was absolutely on fire at that time and the crowd was solidly behind him. Was kind of a no brainer for him to have at least a few month reign then, so naturally, the powers that be went the exact opposite direction.

It’s never too late for anyone. They could do with anyone what they did with Jinder if they wanted.

Never say never, but I think he is an injury away from retirement to announcing.

The problem with Joe is his timing with injuries. But if he could return, stay healthy, get the right story, get enough momentum, anything can happen.

Hopefully it’s not too late. He should have took it off Brock...

He should have won the title from Styles in 2018. Styles’ run was great but if I could change one thing I’d have given the WWE Title to Joe at Summerslam and let AJ win it back around HIAC or Survivor Series.
But yeah its too late, he’s basically fighting an immense uphill battle of McMahonisms that will keep him from ever being a world champion in WWE.
— Constant Injuries — Age — Not an original product of WWE — Not some jacked guy with a 6 pack
If he hasn’t already he’s basically one set back from being the modern version of Tazz.

He's too injury prone unfortunately. He's been passed by.

As far as talent and ability, no of course not. He could easily still be a credible champion.
As far as timing and WWE pulling the trigger, I’d say yes.

Both Mark Henry and Kane captured their first big one (unless you really wanna count the 1 night championship reign of Kane) in the twilight of their careers so I don't think it's too late. It's never too late. But I think the ship has probably sailed, slap the IC title on him but he's now too injury prone to be propping up the company

There's only been 8 I think WWE champions older than him, and most of them weren't in their first reign. Can't see it happening.
He's already been screwed out of it when AJ tapped though. Never forget.

If he's not done in-ring, then I say no. I've never understood the notion that there's a certain timetable for somebody to be made a champion in a scripted product. I know it's not a matter of Joe's career being looked at as the sum of its parts and not in a WWE-exclusive vacuum, because people were saying the same thing not too long ago about Braun Strowman, whose entire career has been spent inside said vacuum, and eventually circumstances led to him eventually getting the belt and having a halfway decent run with it. Joe is three years into his WWE run, five if you count his run through NXT. Yeah, he skews older, but if he can get/stay healthy, then there's no reason the belt can't find its way to him at some point or another. Not everybody needs a rocket strapped to them in order to get there.

Does he still have to read children books? The guy should have been the Samoan version of Dusty Rhodes.

It would mean about as much as when Bray and Braun finally won major titles. It should have happened a while ago, now, who cares? I don't see it happening. The world title is pretty much already set as to what it going to happen to it. Drew loses to Randy and Randy loses to Edge. As for the Universal...lol...does anyone really care?
