its funny how the episode they "promoted" so heavily with a new concept and a new faction....all this stuff, was mostly garbage
and the following week they put on an actual good, entertaining show with a ton of forward progressing in the big storylines, and entertaining matches/segments.

Dom and Rollins was rough to watch but awesome Randy and Ric was just incredible everything was done perfect. Podcast I listen to said these two and the Bayley match were the only good things on the show.

I’m really confused with how last week MVP said they were taking over Raw Underground or whatever but then we’re nowhere to be seen this week? Stupid

Ratings are out. Let's see if they go even more Underground next week. It was a very slight increase overall, but hour to hour it went down. Proof that this underground garbage isn’t a ratings success.

Proof that this underground garbage isn’t a ratings success. I’ve said for weeks that front-loading RAW is worth trying. That’s when it has the most people watching. Maybe if they do something interesting in that first hour they can build a reputation for having a solid first hour. But what do I know?

The announcing is responsible for the decline in wrestling more than it gets credit for. They just did all that and Byron Saxton is just like...meh, it’s an angle Vince McMahon produces the announcers.

Seriously, the first hour should be the most important when they try to market to a younger audience lol they probably fall asleep after that first hour

If people are falling asleep during your product, than your product sucks and isn't worth staying up for. You use the beginning and middle to build to the climactic ending. If you blow your load in the first hour nobody has a reason to watch the next 2. Tease them, get them interested and intrigued about what is going to happen, and they'll watch. The first hour doesn't necessarily have to be front loaded, it just has to make sense and be good.

The trend is that the show loses viewers as it goes on which means they're not hooking people.

If you can’t hook your reader within the first 5 pages, they’re not going to continue. If they can’t interest people right off the bat, nobody will watch the rest

You don't want people to think you have a really good first hour, you want people to think they have to tune in for all 3 hours. You're supposed to be itching for the main event at the end of the show. And because it's wrestling, it should be easier to do that than MMA for example because those fights are real and you never know how they'll go. Raw is scripted. You don't have that unpredictability, yet I go into every Raw wondering what the hell is in store next.

I wouldn't even trust Mr. Vin Man to be able to do that nowadays.
