(The scene fades to black and reopens with the word “Birth” in gold)

***START VIDEO***
(The scene opens to numerous nurses and doctors running around a room filled with a woman’s loud screaming and fire bursting all over. The lights are flickering and it is sheer mayhem. The doctor, Judy, is trying her hardest to keep the room in order, but to no avail. Explosions and Armageddon can be heard just outside of the doors)
Nurse Lara:
I don’t think we’re going to make it!
Dr. Judy:
Have faith!
(Another explosion outside makes the room shake and a handful of staff falls to the ground. Dr. Judy picks herself up and runs to the woman giving birth on the bed)
Dr. Judy:
Just hold on! Only another minute of this pain and it will all be over!
Mom:
I just don’t think I’m strong enough…
(Dr. Judy dramatically places her hand on the mom’s cheek)
Dr. Judy:
Your baby can stop all of this. Your baby will save the entire world. Keep pushing, and the universe will thank you!
(The mom is inspired by these words and is more determined than ever. She musters all of her strength and pushes. With every good push, the lights in the room start to get brighter. The staff looks to the action and smiles slowly start to appear on their face. They yell out in encouragement as the mom is fighting with all her might)
Dr. Judy:
Yes! Yes that’s it! You can do this!
(The staff surrounds her as the explosions lessen and the building is slowly putting itself back together. After a few seconds, a bright glowing light shines from her vaginal passage. The whole room is shot with a bright gold light that blinds everyone. Not too long after, a baby in a small gold tux is levitating in the air. The room is completely back together, the staff is freed of their cuts and bruises and the Armageddon outside is over. Everyone applauds the levitating baby)
Mom:
He’s so perfect…
All staff in unison:
…In every way!
(The baby smiles at the camera and flies out of the window. The screen reads “Eccentrix” before fading to black)

(The scene reopens in a small office building where Eccentrix is receiving a standing ovation from his group of five yes-men. Lessly, Eccentrix’s sometime valet, relaxes on a chair and goes through her phone. Eccentrix wears a cocky smile as he bows to his “adoring” audience)
Eccentrix: I know right?!
“Yes-Man” David: It was brilliant!
“Yes-Man” Paul: Magnificent! Perfect in every way!
“Yes-Man” William: The best thing since they invented sex!
“Yes-Man” Sinclair: Outstanding!!!
“Yes-Man” Phillip: If the whole world saw that, there would be world peace!!!
(Eccentrix nods his head, as he’s heard all of these compliments before from the group with his previous videos. He looks towards Lessly, the only opinion he really cared about nowadays)
Eccentrix: Lessly?
(She looked up from her phone, uninterested)
Lessly: Yeah? What’s going on?
Eccentrix: What did you think of the video?
(The team of “yes-men” look nervously at Lessly. She was never one to blindly praise with Eccentrix, so chances are she didn’t have anything nice to say)
Lessly: (listing) Egocentric…
“Yes-Men” in unison: EGOCENTRIC?!
Lessly: ...desperate…
“Yes-Men” in unison: DESPERATE?!
Lessly: ...and pretty sad.
“Yes-Man” William: You b****....
(Eccentrix’s smile fades. He looks to his “yes-men”)
Eccentrix: Is any of that true? Is that how my birth really comes off?
“Yes-Man” David: Not at all!
“Yes-Man” Paul: Your birth is the next big blockbuster!
“Yes-Man” William: Is “perfect” the strongest word I can use? Because that was “perfectly perfect!”

(Lessly laughs out loud. Eccentrix is not amused)
Eccentrix: What’s so funny?
Lessly: These idiots. You LOST to Father. Shouldn’t you be focused on that? Any other wrestler would be training harder and getting ready for their rematch, but here you are making a “Jesus baby” on strings.
Eccentrix: (shocked) You could see the strings?
“Yes-Man” David: Strings?!
“Yes-Man” Paul: What strings?!
“Yes-Man” William: I didn’t see any strings!
“Yes-Man” Sinclair: She is on drugs, Eccentrix!
“Yes-Man” Phillip: I literally had to call the government’s UFO Taskforce and report a flying baby in the atmosphere!
(Eccentrix smiles for a pit and then pauses. He looks back to Lessly)
Eccentrix: Lessly?
Lessly: (rolling her eyes) You could see the strings…
(The “yes-men” argue with her a bit before Eccentrix calls the group back to order)
Eccentrix: (to “yes-men”) Leave us. I have to talk to Lessly alone.
(The men storm out and yell obscenities towards Lessly. She can’t help but to laugh as she looks back to her phone. She peers up to see Eccentrix slump on his chair and hang his head. Lessly had never seen Eccentrix vulnerable. Eccentrix was such an egotistical force that she had figured he was void of any real emotions)
Lessly: You okay?
Eccentrix: Of course. I’m just...umm...thinking…
Lessly: About how bad you suck?
(Eccentrix and Lessly both laugh)
Eccentrix: You are the only person in the world I let get away with saying stuff like that.
Lessly: Yep, I’m pretty much untouchable.
Eccentrix: You really think I suck?
Lessly: At most things, yeah. You’re not the best wrestler. But your personality has always helped us move up the card before. I just don’t think making yourself out to be a “supreme-being” is what we need right now.
Eccentrix: Well what the hell do we need right now?
Lessly: To focus and win this rematch. Father had your number the whole match.
Eccentrix: I’m surprised you could see that while you texted throughout the whole match. You could’ve helped.
Lessly: I’m honestly done with that. That was fun in the indies, but this is serious now. I don’t want to keep being the sexy distraction in a match.

Eccentrix: He’s buried.
Lessly: He’s you. Always was, always will be. Why do you talk like he’s a whole separate person? When I first met you, that’s what made me want to team with you. You were ruthless! You were a loose cannon!
Eccentrix: I couldn’t control him...me...myself. I was less of a wrestler and more of a mad dog.
Lessly: I think we could use a bit of that now. You lost your debut match. Do you know how hard it is to establish yourself after that? If your father…
Eccentrix: (furious) Get out.
(Lessly knew mentioning his father was always crossing the line, no matter the context)
Lessly: Fine.
(Lessly leaves the room. Eccentrix kicks over a chair)
Eccentrix: I could’ve beat him. The stupid referee should’ve seen I was up at 2! It’s his fault! Not mine! It’s…
(Eccentrix spots a mirror hanging in the office. He laughs to himself)
Eccentrix: What a coincidence! Is this supposed to be my moment of reflection? Fine. I’ll play.
(Eccentrix approaches the mirror and stares deeply at himself)
Eccentrix: Okay Trey. What would you do different?
Humble Beginnings
(Flashback)
(Trey Carter, age seven, sat watching a small wrestling show called “All Out Variety” on television with his dad. Every Thursday, Trey and his father, Rashaad Carter, would watch the variety hour series that featured a ten minute match once per episode. Rashaad had just signed a short-term contract with “All Out Variety”, who were in need of a fresh face to job to the reigning champion, “Flex Muscleman”. Needless to say, they didn’t take wrestling very seriously. It just offered a nice break and something that their competition didn’t have in the same timeslot.
Rashaad, try as he may, could never make it big in any company he was affiliated in.Whether it was that he was not as physically capable as the rest of the roster or just favoritism, he’s heard every reasoning as to why he would always be looked on as a lifetime jobber. His son Trey loved learning the ins and outs of the company. Rashaad was definitely a know-it-all when it came to the sport, so it only made sense that his son would share the same gift. While Rashaad would never tell Trey the truth about the struggle behind the scenes in a wrestling promotion, he would teach Trey everything else about the business.)
Trey & Dad: Oooooh!!!!!
Trey Carter: That was a nice suplex but he shoulda kept working his left leg. “Flex Muscleman” was favoring it last week and I doubt it’s 100% yet.
Rashaad Carter: Sometimes it’s worth it to hit the more flashy moves. They only get 10 minutes to look good out there.
Trey Carter: He should go for the ankle lock and break that old man’s leg!
Rashaad Carter: (laughs) Well sometimes you want to play to the crowd. Technical wrestlers unfortunately don't get as much exposure as charismatic ones. But the industry will always respect the legitimate wrestlers. I’ll take whichever I can get, I have a mouth to feed.
(Trey chomps his teeth like he's eating food)
Trey Carter: That's true!!!! Daddy, you're gonna win right?! Everyone knows “Flex Muscleman” only has like three moves and “Musclemania” isn’t running wild anymore! You’re going to be the first wrestler to pin him!
Rashaad Carter: Without a doubt kid. It runs in our blood. "The Carters" will be a world renown wrestling family.
Trey Carter: Why do you call yourself Black Magic when you fight?
Rashaad Carter: It's just a character.
Trey Carter: Why do you need a character?
Rashaad Carter: It’s...hmm...it helps to get you into the right mindset. Right now I'm your dad. I'm a nice guy, divorced…trying to make ends meet…and I got an amazing son (he tickles Trey, who giggles). But when I'm Black Magic, I'm larger than life. ‘I’m THE magician. Now you see me...now you...umm...got pinned…’ I’m still working on the catchphrase...
Trey Carter: You'll always be larger than life to me!
(He hugged his dad who smiled warmly back at him)
Rashaad Carter: Come on Trey. I have you for two more hours. Let’s make s'mores before your mom comes.

(PRESENT)
(Eccentrix steps away from the mirror and smiles)
Eccentrix: Wrestling is in my blood! It makes up every molecule of my being. I am the greatest wrestler to ever walk the earth, and that is without the work. Once a tap into my true greatness, there is no stopping me! Father is an uncharismatic hack that didn’t deserve to share the spotlight with me! He stole the spotlight from me! He cheated! This whole company is corrupt! Everyone is against me! Nothing is fair! Nothing is right! I should’ve won! I should’ve…
(Eccentrix is about to smash the mirror, but he restrains himself. He takes a second to breathe before laughing to himself again)
Eccentrix: What am I talking about? It’s always been like this. Nobody has ever had my back. What’s the difference now? Why couldn’t I beat Father?

(FLASHBACK)
(Trey Carter, age 11, is seen being escorted back to his house by three officers. The home is a huge beautiful white and red two story. He and his mom moved in with his stepdad a few years earlier. Trey hated his step dad and would do anything to get away from him. His stepdad would beat him on almost a daily basis, just because Trey would not call him "dad". His mom had basically used her sexuality to become better off in life, so she wouldn't listen to her son's allegations. She found a way out of the hood and would do anything to stay out. Trey dreamed of being locked away but his attempts to get arrested would just result in the police taking him right back)
Trey Carter: I'm a murderer! You should put me on death row!
Officer Roman: Kid, I'd shoot you myself if we didn't know your dad.
Officer Williams: Don't say stuff like that to the kid...
Trey Carter: Desmond is not my dad!
Officer Rodriguez: Trey, we don't have time to pick your ass up every time you decide to lift from liquor stores to get back at daddy. Desmond Wright is money. Enjoy the wealth and stop being a spoiled brat!
Officer Williams: Guys take it easy on him...
Trey Carter: But he beats me and...
Officer Roman: Same ol story...
Officer Rodriguez: Kid stop lying about crap and just accept that your real dad ain't crap and had to be replaced.
Officer Williams: That's enough you two!!
(Trey immediately started crying as the officers approached the door and knocked. Kevin's mom routinely opened the door, handed the officers money and dragged Trey into the house)
Trey's Mom: And then you wonder why we have to discipline you!
Trey Carter: (crying) But momma, punching me isn’t disci....
Trey’'s Mom: I'm not trying to hear any of that! I should've left you with your deadbeat daddy! You could be chasing those f***ing wrestling dreams with him! “Black Mamba” or “Magic T-Bagin A**hole” or whatever that fool calls himself now!
(Trey cried more)
Trey Carter: IT’S “BLACK MAGIC”! “Now you see him, now you...you get pinned!”
(His mother let go of his arms and got down to Trey’s level)
Trey’s Mom: After all I've done for you, the least you can do is be good and keep your mouth shut. I love you baby...
(She stood up and headed towards the kitchen, dragging Trey along)
Trey's Mom: ...but I'm not going to be miserable just to make you happy. This cry for attention stops now!

(PRESENT)
(The scene reopens with Eccentrix continuing to stare at the mirror in the office. He was about to monologue again until he felt his phone vibrate. He grabbed his phone and placed it to his ear, without breaking eye contact with himself)
Eccentrix: Hello?
Lessly: Look. I know I'm famously stay out of your business...and your matches...but I have something important I need to tell you. I just got a call from someone I know and they say...well...someone wants to see you...
Eccentrix: Yeah? And who might that be?
(There is a long pause. At first, Eccentrix is upset about the building suspense, until he realizes that Lessly is usually extremely forward. She is the one person not afraid to tell him anything. There would only be one reason she would be speechless at any point. Only one reason she would not say what's on her mind. Eccentrix's eyes grow wide)
Eccentrix: I’ll be right there...

(FLASHBACK)
(Trey, age 16, smacked the store owner, a large man, across the face. The man was shocked as he stared down the group of five teenagers led by Trey. The man, 35, ran the local thrift shop, to which Trey would seemingly steal from every week)
Store Owner: You got a death wish, Wright?
Trey Carter: I told you my name's Trey CARTER ! But you'd do best to keep my name out yo mouth!
(The man had called Trey out on his recent thievery. The man and him had a constant back and forth. Trey would sneak in and steal from the store, which unfortunately the store owner could never prove. The store owner in turn would talk about Trey's now notorious mom)
Store Owner: You know I felt a little sorry for you cuz my mom was a ho too. Not quite like your pipe smoking mom though! Dropped her baby daddy for that golden penis!
Trey Carter: You can't even talk good trash. Think I haven't heard all that before? What else you got?
Store Owner: Well...Trey Wright... how does it feel to know your dad left you to play dress up with a bunch of cross dressers! Wrestling....he apparently couldn't wrestle out good enough d*** to make your mommy stay!
(Trey jumped over the counter and immediately struck the man with a hard right. The man took the blow and grabbed onto Trey. He used his much superior strength to launch Trey back over the counter and onto the floor in front of his friends. His friends went into a frenzy, which only energized Trey. He scrambled to his feet pushed down an entire shelf of the man's inventory)
Store Owner: Son of a...
(The man had it and went around the counter to confront Trey. He took a wild swing at him, which Trey quickly ducked and took a right and left jab to the man's gut. The man tried to grab Trey, but Trey side stepped him and kicked him as hard as he could in the back of his knee. The man sank to one knee, which set Trey up for a series of rights and lefts to his face)
Trey Carter: Say something now! Talk about my dad now!!!
(Trey reared back for a huge punch but found his arm grabbed by a police officer. The officer forcefully pulled Trey off and dragged him to his car. Trey struggled as his friends all cheered him on and marveled at the destruction he caused. They were all avid fight and wrestling fans. Trey never let them down when it came to exciting fights and encounters with authority)
(He had watched his dad wrestle live when he was really young and every once in a while he'd catch him now on an obscure wrestling show during the graveyard slot. It was a horrible show full of over the top gimmicks and crazy storylines. Among the craziness was the jive talking, Rashaad "The Afrodisiac" Carter. He was a pure wrestler who was terrible at promos and keeping up with the silliness of his character. But Trey loved watching him. At one point Trey was keeping count of his father’s win loss record, but after a 1-15 start, he stopped keeping track and just enjoyed the way his dad’s technique and flawless execution. His father could go toe to toe with anyone in the ring, but he was not a finisher. He struggled to get the crowd behind him when he needed to feed off their energy, and he always seemed to succumb to his opponent’s superior speed or physicality. Although he could out-wrestle anyone, he was just missing the special something that helped obtain wins and climb up the card)
(The officer threw Trey in the backseat of the car and slammed the door. The officer ignored the teens yelling and stepped into the car)
Trey Carter: (mockingly) Hello Officer Williams.
(Williams was not amused. He continued to drive without saying anything)
Trey Carter: Aw come on, you should've seen! It was shades of Sugar Ray Leonard there! And after the haymaker, I was about to drop the uppercut like your boy Mike Tyson.
Officer Williams: Trey...
Trey Carter: It’s weird, now everytime I say “Tyson” I just picture biting someone’s ear off. People have to remember that he is still a great fighter! It’s not all about...
Officer Williams: Trey Wright...
(Trey immediately stopped talking and gave an upset look to the officer)
Trey Carter: You know I hate it when people call me that. Why would...
Officer Williams: We have your father at the station.
Trey Carter: (rolling his eyes) Well he practically runs you guys. Doesn't surprise me at all. I’m sure right about now him and his politician friends are plotting to build a giant laser and take over the world. (mockingly) “Today, beat my step son into oblivion...tomorrow the world!”
(Officer Williams pulled to the side of the road and stopped the car. He looked down a bit, fighting emotion, before turning back to Trey)
Officer Williams: Your dad arrived late last night, he seemingly came to see you. As he was spotted at your address this morning.
Trey Carter: Really?! Dad?! Can you drop me off?!
Officer Williams: Trey... your mom and your stepdad were murdered nearly an hour ago. Seeing as how you clearly have been with your friends committing petty crimes, I’m going to let them know you are not a suspect.
(Trey paused for the longest time. Trying to take everything in and sort it all in his head. Officer Williams looked down, not being able to look Trey in the face)
Officer Williams: We think your dad is responsible for the murder...
(Trey stared stunned at Officer Williams, tears running down his cheek)
Officer Williams: Don't let this continue to bury you in the rut you've been in. I know how you feel, like you lost. I've suffered loss. There will be a lot of losses. Be sure of who you truly are and what you want in life. Life can be hard, but you have to fight...

(PRESENT)
(Eccentrix is waiting impatiently in a dark park. He had just received a call that was more important than losing to Father. More important than how his “birth” video would be perceived by the fans. There was only one thing more important to Eccentrix than his wrestling career)
Eccentrix: Hello?
(Eccentrix heard a rustling behind him and quickly turned around to see a figure in a dark hoodie slowly approach him. Eccentrix felt himself turn into a child again. As excited as he would be every Thursday when he would watch wrestling)
Eccentrix: Is it really you? I’ve waited years, you know? I’m sorry I never visited you, when you were locked up. I...I just couldn’t…
(The figure stays silent as it continues the slow pace to reach Eccentrix)
Eccentrix: Why won’t you talk to me?
(The figure stops right in front of Eccentrix)
Eccentrix: I’m a wrestler now. I don’t know if you’ve already heard. I...I lost my first match...but it was a fluke. I’m actually really good in the ring, just like you. And I...dad? Dad?
(The figure takes off the hood to finally reveal itself)
Desmond Wright: (evil smile) I knew you’d finally come around to calling me “Dad”...

Lessly: You know I’m sexy, shut the hell up! I just don’t think “Eccentrix” is the right way to go here.
Eccentrix: What do you mean? You said it yourself, “Eccentrix” brought us here and has always helped us in the past.
Lessly: Yeah...but you got beat by that bible thumper. Your little show-boaty moves and charisma didn’t change that. And then you tell the higher ups that you kicked out at two?
Eccentrix: I did…
Lessly: (rolling her eyes) Sure… I just think you could have beat him if…
Eccentrix: Oh not this again…
(Lessly stands up and walks towards him)
Lessly: Trey Carter could’ve beat the hell out of that guy, just saying.
Eccentrix: He’s buried.
Lessly: He’s you. Always was, always will be. Why do you talk like he’s a whole separate person? When I first met you, that’s what made me want to team with you. You were ruthless! You were a loose cannon!
Eccentrix: I couldn’t control him...me...myself. I was less of a wrestler and more of a mad dog.
Lessly: I think we could use a bit of that now. You lost your debut match. Do you know how hard it is to establish yourself after that? If your father…
Eccentrix: (furious) Get out.
(Lessly knew mentioning his father was always crossing the line, no matter the context)
Lessly: Fine.
(Lessly leaves the room. Eccentrix kicks over a chair)
Eccentrix: I could’ve beat him. The stupid referee should’ve seen I was up at 2! It’s his fault! Not mine! It’s…
(Eccentrix spots a mirror hanging in the office. He laughs to himself)
Eccentrix: What a coincidence! Is this supposed to be my moment of reflection? Fine. I’ll play.
(Eccentrix approaches the mirror and stares deeply at himself)
Eccentrix: Okay Trey. What would you do different?
Humble Beginnings
(Flashback)
(Trey Carter, age seven, sat watching a small wrestling show called “All Out Variety” on television with his dad. Every Thursday, Trey and his father, Rashaad Carter, would watch the variety hour series that featured a ten minute match once per episode. Rashaad had just signed a short-term contract with “All Out Variety”, who were in need of a fresh face to job to the reigning champion, “Flex Muscleman”. Needless to say, they didn’t take wrestling very seriously. It just offered a nice break and something that their competition didn’t have in the same timeslot.
Rashaad, try as he may, could never make it big in any company he was affiliated in.Whether it was that he was not as physically capable as the rest of the roster or just favoritism, he’s heard every reasoning as to why he would always be looked on as a lifetime jobber. His son Trey loved learning the ins and outs of the company. Rashaad was definitely a know-it-all when it came to the sport, so it only made sense that his son would share the same gift. While Rashaad would never tell Trey the truth about the struggle behind the scenes in a wrestling promotion, he would teach Trey everything else about the business.)
Trey & Dad: Oooooh!!!!!
Trey Carter: That was a nice suplex but he shoulda kept working his left leg. “Flex Muscleman” was favoring it last week and I doubt it’s 100% yet.
Rashaad Carter: Sometimes it’s worth it to hit the more flashy moves. They only get 10 minutes to look good out there.
Trey Carter: He should go for the ankle lock and break that old man’s leg!
Rashaad Carter: (laughs) Well sometimes you want to play to the crowd. Technical wrestlers unfortunately don't get as much exposure as charismatic ones. But the industry will always respect the legitimate wrestlers. I’ll take whichever I can get, I have a mouth to feed.
(Trey chomps his teeth like he's eating food)
Trey Carter: That's true!!!! Daddy, you're gonna win right?! Everyone knows “Flex Muscleman” only has like three moves and “Musclemania” isn’t running wild anymore! You’re going to be the first wrestler to pin him!
Rashaad Carter: Without a doubt kid. It runs in our blood. "The Carters" will be a world renown wrestling family.
Trey Carter: Why do you call yourself Black Magic when you fight?
Rashaad Carter: It's just a character.
Trey Carter: Why do you need a character?
Rashaad Carter: It’s...hmm...it helps to get you into the right mindset. Right now I'm your dad. I'm a nice guy, divorced…trying to make ends meet…and I got an amazing son (he tickles Trey, who giggles). But when I'm Black Magic, I'm larger than life. ‘I’m THE magician. Now you see me...now you...umm...got pinned…’ I’m still working on the catchphrase...
Trey Carter: You'll always be larger than life to me!
(He hugged his dad who smiled warmly back at him)
Rashaad Carter: Come on Trey. I have you for two more hours. Let’s make s'mores before your mom comes.

(PRESENT)
(Eccentrix steps away from the mirror and smiles)
Eccentrix: Wrestling is in my blood! It makes up every molecule of my being. I am the greatest wrestler to ever walk the earth, and that is without the work. Once a tap into my true greatness, there is no stopping me! Father is an uncharismatic hack that didn’t deserve to share the spotlight with me! He stole the spotlight from me! He cheated! This whole company is corrupt! Everyone is against me! Nothing is fair! Nothing is right! I should’ve won! I should’ve…
(Eccentrix is about to smash the mirror, but he restrains himself. He takes a second to breathe before laughing to himself again)
Eccentrix: What am I talking about? It’s always been like this. Nobody has ever had my back. What’s the difference now? Why couldn’t I beat Father?

(FLASHBACK)
(Trey Carter, age 11, is seen being escorted back to his house by three officers. The home is a huge beautiful white and red two story. He and his mom moved in with his stepdad a few years earlier. Trey hated his step dad and would do anything to get away from him. His stepdad would beat him on almost a daily basis, just because Trey would not call him "dad". His mom had basically used her sexuality to become better off in life, so she wouldn't listen to her son's allegations. She found a way out of the hood and would do anything to stay out. Trey dreamed of being locked away but his attempts to get arrested would just result in the police taking him right back)
Trey Carter: I'm a murderer! You should put me on death row!
Officer Roman: Kid, I'd shoot you myself if we didn't know your dad.
Officer Williams: Don't say stuff like that to the kid...
Trey Carter: Desmond is not my dad!
Officer Rodriguez: Trey, we don't have time to pick your ass up every time you decide to lift from liquor stores to get back at daddy. Desmond Wright is money. Enjoy the wealth and stop being a spoiled brat!
Officer Williams: Guys take it easy on him...
Trey Carter: But he beats me and...
Officer Roman: Same ol story...
Officer Rodriguez: Kid stop lying about crap and just accept that your real dad ain't crap and had to be replaced.
Officer Williams: That's enough you two!!
(Trey immediately started crying as the officers approached the door and knocked. Kevin's mom routinely opened the door, handed the officers money and dragged Trey into the house)
Trey's Mom: And then you wonder why we have to discipline you!
Trey Carter: (crying) But momma, punching me isn’t disci....
Trey’'s Mom: I'm not trying to hear any of that! I should've left you with your deadbeat daddy! You could be chasing those f***ing wrestling dreams with him! “Black Mamba” or “Magic T-Bagin A**hole” or whatever that fool calls himself now!
(Trey cried more)
Trey Carter: IT’S “BLACK MAGIC”! “Now you see him, now you...you get pinned!”
(His mother let go of his arms and got down to Trey’s level)
Trey’s Mom: After all I've done for you, the least you can do is be good and keep your mouth shut. I love you baby...
(She stood up and headed towards the kitchen, dragging Trey along)
Trey's Mom: ...but I'm not going to be miserable just to make you happy. This cry for attention stops now!

(PRESENT)
(The scene reopens with Eccentrix continuing to stare at the mirror in the office. He was about to monologue again until he felt his phone vibrate. He grabbed his phone and placed it to his ear, without breaking eye contact with himself)
Eccentrix: Hello?
Lessly: Look. I know I'm famously stay out of your business...and your matches...but I have something important I need to tell you. I just got a call from someone I know and they say...well...someone wants to see you...
Eccentrix: Yeah? And who might that be?
(There is a long pause. At first, Eccentrix is upset about the building suspense, until he realizes that Lessly is usually extremely forward. She is the one person not afraid to tell him anything. There would only be one reason she would be speechless at any point. Only one reason she would not say what's on her mind. Eccentrix's eyes grow wide)
Eccentrix: I’ll be right there...

(FLASHBACK)
(Trey, age 16, smacked the store owner, a large man, across the face. The man was shocked as he stared down the group of five teenagers led by Trey. The man, 35, ran the local thrift shop, to which Trey would seemingly steal from every week)
Store Owner: You got a death wish, Wright?
Trey Carter: I told you my name's Trey CARTER ! But you'd do best to keep my name out yo mouth!
(The man had called Trey out on his recent thievery. The man and him had a constant back and forth. Trey would sneak in and steal from the store, which unfortunately the store owner could never prove. The store owner in turn would talk about Trey's now notorious mom)
Store Owner: You know I felt a little sorry for you cuz my mom was a ho too. Not quite like your pipe smoking mom though! Dropped her baby daddy for that golden penis!
Trey Carter: You can't even talk good trash. Think I haven't heard all that before? What else you got?
Store Owner: Well...Trey Wright... how does it feel to know your dad left you to play dress up with a bunch of cross dressers! Wrestling....he apparently couldn't wrestle out good enough d*** to make your mommy stay!
(Trey jumped over the counter and immediately struck the man with a hard right. The man took the blow and grabbed onto Trey. He used his much superior strength to launch Trey back over the counter and onto the floor in front of his friends. His friends went into a frenzy, which only energized Trey. He scrambled to his feet pushed down an entire shelf of the man's inventory)
Store Owner: Son of a...
(The man had it and went around the counter to confront Trey. He took a wild swing at him, which Trey quickly ducked and took a right and left jab to the man's gut. The man tried to grab Trey, but Trey side stepped him and kicked him as hard as he could in the back of his knee. The man sank to one knee, which set Trey up for a series of rights and lefts to his face)
Trey Carter: Say something now! Talk about my dad now!!!
(Trey reared back for a huge punch but found his arm grabbed by a police officer. The officer forcefully pulled Trey off and dragged him to his car. Trey struggled as his friends all cheered him on and marveled at the destruction he caused. They were all avid fight and wrestling fans. Trey never let them down when it came to exciting fights and encounters with authority)
(He had watched his dad wrestle live when he was really young and every once in a while he'd catch him now on an obscure wrestling show during the graveyard slot. It was a horrible show full of over the top gimmicks and crazy storylines. Among the craziness was the jive talking, Rashaad "The Afrodisiac" Carter. He was a pure wrestler who was terrible at promos and keeping up with the silliness of his character. But Trey loved watching him. At one point Trey was keeping count of his father’s win loss record, but after a 1-15 start, he stopped keeping track and just enjoyed the way his dad’s technique and flawless execution. His father could go toe to toe with anyone in the ring, but he was not a finisher. He struggled to get the crowd behind him when he needed to feed off their energy, and he always seemed to succumb to his opponent’s superior speed or physicality. Although he could out-wrestle anyone, he was just missing the special something that helped obtain wins and climb up the card)
(The officer threw Trey in the backseat of the car and slammed the door. The officer ignored the teens yelling and stepped into the car)
Trey Carter: (mockingly) Hello Officer Williams.
(Williams was not amused. He continued to drive without saying anything)
Trey Carter: Aw come on, you should've seen! It was shades of Sugar Ray Leonard there! And after the haymaker, I was about to drop the uppercut like your boy Mike Tyson.
Officer Williams: Trey...
Trey Carter: It’s weird, now everytime I say “Tyson” I just picture biting someone’s ear off. People have to remember that he is still a great fighter! It’s not all about...
Officer Williams: Trey Wright...
(Trey immediately stopped talking and gave an upset look to the officer)
Trey Carter: You know I hate it when people call me that. Why would...
Officer Williams: We have your father at the station.
Trey Carter: (rolling his eyes) Well he practically runs you guys. Doesn't surprise me at all. I’m sure right about now him and his politician friends are plotting to build a giant laser and take over the world. (mockingly) “Today, beat my step son into oblivion...tomorrow the world!”
(Officer Williams pulled to the side of the road and stopped the car. He looked down a bit, fighting emotion, before turning back to Trey)
Officer Williams: Your dad arrived late last night, he seemingly came to see you. As he was spotted at your address this morning.
Trey Carter: Really?! Dad?! Can you drop me off?!
Officer Williams: Trey... your mom and your stepdad were murdered nearly an hour ago. Seeing as how you clearly have been with your friends committing petty crimes, I’m going to let them know you are not a suspect.
(Trey paused for the longest time. Trying to take everything in and sort it all in his head. Officer Williams looked down, not being able to look Trey in the face)
Officer Williams: We think your dad is responsible for the murder...
(Trey stared stunned at Officer Williams, tears running down his cheek)
Officer Williams: Don't let this continue to bury you in the rut you've been in. I know how you feel, like you lost. I've suffered loss. There will be a lot of losses. Be sure of who you truly are and what you want in life. Life can be hard, but you have to fight...

(PRESENT)
(Eccentrix is waiting impatiently in a dark park. He had just received a call that was more important than losing to Father. More important than how his “birth” video would be perceived by the fans. There was only one thing more important to Eccentrix than his wrestling career)
Eccentrix: Hello?
(Eccentrix heard a rustling behind him and quickly turned around to see a figure in a dark hoodie slowly approach him. Eccentrix felt himself turn into a child again. As excited as he would be every Thursday when he would watch wrestling)
Eccentrix: Is it really you? I’ve waited years, you know? I’m sorry I never visited you, when you were locked up. I...I just couldn’t…
(The figure stays silent as it continues the slow pace to reach Eccentrix)
Eccentrix: Why won’t you talk to me?
(The figure stops right in front of Eccentrix)
Eccentrix: I’m a wrestler now. I don’t know if you’ve already heard. I...I lost my first match...but it was a fluke. I’m actually really good in the ring, just like you. And I...dad? Dad?
(The figure takes off the hood to finally reveal itself)
Desmond Wright: (evil smile) I knew you’d finally come around to calling me “Dad”...
