I didn’t get as overwhelmed with this set in my area. While I hear people complain, Elite 63 clogged shelves much longer for me. I saw E65 at a couple Targets and GameStop’s but I only recall seeing it at my most convenient Wal-Mart once, and I had missed Sherri, and not really much beyond because a lot of stores had excess 63 from the big Wrestlemania displays.
In terms of the figures themselves, Ronda is the only real dud to me. And that has an excuse because that was a rush job that went into production before she ever got into ring gear, like the old BCA 9 Big Show.

No way. E39 was way worse and literally gave us several “Walls of Sid” pictures that I still see in my nightmares. I've never understood this. I get that Sid was pretty bland, but he's a pretty decent figure and was a significant fixture during the early to mid 90s. Don’t get me wrong, I love that Sid figure and I bought one when it was first released. It rules! It just sold horribly and clogged shelves everywhere forever. That specific wave messed up so bad places didn’t get figures for almost a year.

E39 was a decent set, Bulldog and Godfather are both severely underrated. Sid was a warmer sure, but he was one of my most wanted at the time. E65 isn't bad. English was a fun fig and the second chase I picked up, Rusev wasn't too bad, Nia Jax with the different heads was a gamechanger when it came to swappable parts, Eric Young's my favorite of the set, and even the Roman fig was good. Ronda was the only dud but even then the accessories are decent and Sherri was a fun exclusive (Though an update with the new articulation is in order) I think it's a mix of excess stock and Covid putting a delay in production somewhat. Stores want product to sell, so it might mean an older set. I’m not even crapping on E39, I liked the wave personally. It just didn’t sell and had some crazy distro issues.

E40 had Umaga X2 also. Weird how 2 random legends got that case breakdown but some other, popular legends get a X1

I wasn’t in the game to see some of the older waves that warmed or whatnot, but based on what I’ve read I’d say something else has to have sold less than E65. It’s hit a lot of places the last few months, but is it actually staying on the pegs? When people post pictures of their stores I never see any E65 figures on the pegs. Not a huge sample size, but I don’t see anyone complaining that they are clogging the pegs either.
Personally I find it to be a pretty weak set, but that’s just based on who I like and who I don’t like. The figures are perfectly fine. Roman, pass. EY, great fig but not interested. Nia, same. Rusev, never liked him. Aiden, zero interest. Ronda was the only one I was interested in and I only picked it up when finding it Big Lots.

Whichever set had that bloody Wyatt family Daniel Bryan was the worst set for me, the smell of that crap stuck around for what felt like a few years.

I keep hearing this and yet no one has offered to send me a Sherri for retail plus shipping so until that happens no it is not the worst set

Not sure if it’s the worst set, or they just made a $h*t ton of them

I still have flashbacks to the multi year reign of E39.
Honorable mention to E66. Those Styles and Angles are still around.

I just can’t believe how bad this set is and how it just refuses to go away. My target got in a new case of elites today and I was pumped to find E78 and it’s instead E65. It’s the set that never ever dies. Thoughts?! It's not that it's a bad set. The issue is when it was supposed to be in stores it was not. The blame for that should go to mattel and walmart equally.

Not to be a d*ck but are you just upset that Target stock the set and not what you thought, because not saying it was this best all time set, but getting an Eric Young, and a Rusev, the first time Ronda and finally getting an Aiden English elite figure to me is a pretty good damn set. Also to me this was the beginning of getting more than one head with Elite. I could be wrong but I don't think there was a figure until this Nia Jax that got more than one head. So to me this was the beginning of getting more than one head with some figures.

You know it’s a bad set when it forces a DPCI change and that’s what Bray and Bo Dallas from that set did. Ugh, that Bo figure. I didn't really get super into collecting again until 2018 and I was still seeing Bo everywhere.

E65 gets my vote for worst set. It's just a total bomb, with the exception of a really cool EY figure who was a non-factor by the time the figure hit stores.
But E36 has to be the worst selling. It pretty much locked up Targets nationwide for almost a year, and the figures still didn't sell when clearanced down to $6 or 7. E39 had a couple of stinkers in Sid and Mizdow, but it wasn't the across the board bomb that 65 and 36 were.
65 may get special recognition for failing in today's landscape though. I'm pretty sure production runs have been slashed pretty dramatically from a few years ago, so it really takes some extra effort to not sell these days.

Top Talents AJ 2018 is still in nearly every Target I've been to for 2 years now. Also E68 and 65 were at my Meijer for about 1.5 years

I think Mattel might have over produced the set

I grabbed a couple E65 figures from Gamestop during their 5 dollar sale. Got Rousey and Nia Jax but other than Gamestop I never saw them anywhere in my area. This was one of those sets that my area skipped and I had to grab Sherri on ebay. I like Eric Young as well. Grabbed him for like 12 on Amazon.

At Smyths, elite 24 (specifically Trish) and elite 39 (specifically Sid) must go down as some of the worst selling.

Elite Top Talent 1 is still popping up with fresh restocks and now is apparently going to Big Lots?? I'd call that the worst. Most Walmarts around here have gotten Elites maybe 4 times tops and one of those times was an endcap of that crap. That's no good.
