I had no idea that originally Summerslam on Mondays, Royal Rumble on Saturday's.
I knew Survivor Series was on Thanksgiving and Mania on Sunday's
but Wrestlemania would also be afternoon/late afternoon as well which I had no idea
Wonder why Vince went to the normal Sunday PPV schedule

Taboo Chooseday (it should have been marketed as that) was confusing for me somewhat. This was because of the airing schedule in the UK at the time. RAW aired on Thursday nights if you didn't catch it live. So I ended up viewing the PPV and then watching the go home show after.

I wanna say they went with Sunday's because A: nobody is really out doing anything on a Sunday night, and B: they had Raw the next day.

If my memory serves me correctly, RAW didn't begin airing live in the UK till sometime in 2006. Even though I am from the United States, I do remember reading that RAW at some point aired at 10 PM on Friday's. I wanna say they went with Sunday's because A: nobody is really out doing anything on a Sunday night, and B: they had Raw the next day. WWE airing PPV's on Sundays was done merely to have a standard day to air them and it was the ideal day to have them. RAW being on the next night was the icing on the cake. Let me debunk some info here: Only two Royal Rumble events were held on a Saturday. 1991 & 1994 The first seven SummerSlam's took place on a Monday WrestleMania 2 took place on a Monday Survivor Series 1987-1990 took place on Thanksgiving. 1991-1994 took place on Thanksgiving Eve. WrestleMania XXXIII & XXXV are the only two 'Mania events to happen on Sunday/Monday. 'Mania XXXIII ended at 12:05 AM local time in Orlando. 'Mania XXXV ended by 13:30 AM local time in New Jersey.

Smackdown always aired on Sky Sports on Friday nights even when it was on Thursdays pre 2005. When it changed over, it would mean it aired in the UK before the States funnily enough. When ECW came along, it was simply slotted in the hour timeslot before SD. Usually from 9pm to 10pm I wanna say. With Smackdown on from 10 to midnight. RAW may have been changed to Fridays but it was probably after I stopped watching in 2008. When I picked it back up in 2011, I exclusively watched on the old Indian TV websites.

Yes before Raw was live in the UK it was on at 10pm on Fridays. We had Friday night wars during the attitude era instead lol. Nitro was on TNT from 9pm. Before that Raw was on at 5pm when it was 1 hour format. I remember it changing to 10pm unexpectedly and it was 2 hours long as well which the tv guide did not say, so wondering why they were advertising Bret hart vs sid in a cage match had not started and thinking it wasnt going to air.
