I always thought The Road Warriors were with WCW for a few years in mid WCW, but turns out just a bit short of 6 months, missing the NWO invasion
They left saying Bischoff wasn't delivering on promises. Obviously with the NWO coming in, they would have been fed to the NWO anyway but seeing they had such a short span in WCW was surprising
They never even got the titles in WCW

I was really disappointed with this run. I really hated the blue attires that they had. It just looked odd to me. They should have had their old nwa look.

I liked the blue. But the old NWA look would have been better as that was my favorite of their looks. Yeah I have seen Animal say they left because Bischoff made promises and didn’t keep them. It would have been cool if they had stayed. And then they could have had them back Sting vs the NWO.

That was a weird era for WCW. You had the Road Warriors, Harlem Heat, Steiner Brothers, Nasty Boys, Public Enemy, Faces of Fear.... and your tag champions are Sting and Lex Luger. Two singles stars dominating every tag team they wrestled.
Don't forget, it gets worse for the LOD. After leaving WCW they go to the AWF and they can't even win the Tag Titles there off the champions Tommy Rich and Greg Valentine. Then it was off to the WWF in 1997 for them.

Yeah their WCW run was weird & put me in the camp that disliked their attire too. Id like to think they would have been booked to oppose the nWo but I genuinely don;t think they would. I don't think Bischoff thought that much of them. I think they would have been jobbed out on Nitro to the Outsiders...

They wanted the powers of pain to be split before they signed with the company.

They wanted the powers of pain to be split before they signed with the company. The Road Warriors went to WWF at a a good time. Brainbusters they had already feuded with in WCW & The British Bulldogs hadnt been a force in the tag ranks since late 86. Dynamites injury & backstage antics had them pretty much as jobbers until they left in 88. The Powers Of Pain were split up the moment Vince got the deal with the RWs over the line way before they appeared on TV. This was a mistake-They should have been their first feud and then split after leading Fuji to go back to Demolition & turn them. Demolition weren't on their way out when the RWs signed...they were at the zenith of their popularity. Vince turned them heel for Hawk & Animal to feud with. Eadie's condition & the inclusion of Crush because of it etc happened after they put pen to paper in April of 1990. Also their booking in 1992 was out of everyone's hands except Hawk. They were due to lose the straps to Money Inc @ WM8 then chase them to SSlam 1992 and regain the belts. in the 2nd last match of the night in what was scheduled to be a squash. Rotundo & Dibiase both said it. Hawk failed a drugs test when Vince couldn't afford that kind of thing and Money Inc beat them off TV. He then failed another in the early Summer & Vince changed his plans totally. I think they should have risked the guaranteed money and went to WWF in 1988 on Vince's 2nd try. Ellering thinks so too.

Yeah this run was nothing to write home about.A feud with Hall/Nash wouldve been cool. Also shame they never brought back this attire during this time...
