I’m happy for her. She’s been underutilized for too long and can find a job outside of wrestling if she wanted to. I’m sure everyone is saying she’ll end up in AEW but I could see her getting a legit sports job on ESPN

Seeing her in AEW would be cool, but I think ESPN or something like Good Morning America is much more likely.
It'll be interesting to see if WwE tries to mold one of the backstage interview robots into a replacement for her.

sorry to be the fourth post in a row to reference AEW, but if she does end up over there, I hope they don't have her within a commentary capacity. never enjoyed what she brought to the table in that way.

I hope she doesn't join AEW. I am sick and tired of watching them, making digs are WWE all the the time.
They live rent free in there heads, focus on your own product. Not your rivals.

For the record I don't want her in AEW, but signing her would make their product better (therefore they would be focusing on their own product). Signing someone when they're available doesn't make a dig at a former employer. |

Renee previously worked as a sportscaster for a network in Canada called Sportsnet 360 and was on their wrestling analysis show Aftermath before getting signed by WWE. I always thought it was cool that she went from being more of a local celebrity (for lack of a better term) then going on to become quite popular in WWE.
Renee always came across as very genuine to me, especially when she was in an MC/journalistic role on screen. I can definitely see her popping up in AEW, even if just a few appearances associated with Moxley. If she does stay in the industry and more specifically jumps to AEW, I'd love to see her in more of an enhanced interviewing role than what WWE had her doing in the last year; like a modern day Mean Gene. It would also be interesting to hear how she does on commentary with more creative freedom as well.

I hope she goes on to something outside wrestling that makes her a real household name. She deserves it.

Personally, I think she completely sucked as an announcer. As most do these days, anyway.

They have employed have made digs, one way or another. On and off screen. It's getting boring now. I wouldn't be surprised if she went there, the second she steps foot in the building. If she has a onscreen role. Some funny quip or comment will be put in the script for her to say! It's almost predicable now. |
