Hangman is the most interesting character in wrestling and I know I’m probably biased but I can’t think of anyone that’s character progression has been so good

Good episode.
1. What was up with a commercial at the 9:53 mark during Hardy and Sammy? After just coming out of a commercial
2. That womans "match"was crap. Not even good enough for Dark. And examples like that I dont get excited over women's wrestling.
3. Tayna and the join the dark Order moment...just odd to me.
4. The Hangman segments tonight could've been delivered better.

You’d have to go back to the days of territories “But da fiend is so complex!” Legit, I tuned into the Blunderdome on Friday. My wife looked at the tv and saw tHe FiEnD. She simply said “F*ck that dork”.

I think this might have been the worst episode of Dynamite. Everything felt "off."
I managed to finish the episode, but it was bad enough that I had to pause and do something else for a time.
Eight-man tag and main event were solid, as were the MJF/MOX (Mox is poor on the mic, IMO, when given too much time) contract signing, the brawl between the DO and Nightmare Family, and the close.
Worst, though, was Matt Jackson's acting in the bar. Cringe.
I did like the additions to All Out, though.

Am I the only one who noticed that they starting to say Cody Rhodes? Does that mean Cody can finally use the Rhodes name?

2. That womans "match"was crap. Not even good enough for Dark. And examples like that I dont get excited over women's wrestling. lol there was a crowd for the first time in five months and it was still the most silent match in AEW history. Shida getting a great match out of Penelope Ford is a real testament to how good she is. I haven't read through the thread yet, but I know I'll be in the minority but screw it I'm gonna say it; the door closing on Hangman as he stares at himself in a cracked mirror was so melodramatic it just became silly. That and the aforementioned bad acting ... don't like the turn this has taken. Good stuff other than those two things for me, and words can't describe how much I love Colt Cabana's association with the Dark Order.

I'm going to guess that since AEW's fanbase is loyal enough to show up every week, and follow to Saturdays, that they think everything on-screen is okay. Live crowds would really give them better feedback. Last week, for instance, Anna Jay choking out Brandi would've gotten a massive pop. The Hangman storyline is still great, but, yes, tonight was really over-the-top with the dramatics, and it was poorly executed.

Man, I felt hangman in that segment. Heel turn by the bucks in my eyes. If you can't understand that alcoholism is a disease, gtfo and come @ me. It's a no chill issue with me, so no trolling. Bucks are the enemies in the story I'm watching. Hangman's trapped and needs help and they're continuing to push him away. What a great f***ing story and they're telling it so goddamn well. Also, did no one realize the women's match was supposed to be bad? Like complaining that it was a bad women's match, yes, the whole effing joke is that Reba/Rebel can't wrestle so she's a fish out of water. They did a great job of showcasing exactly that.

4. The Hangman segments tonight could've been delivered better. It's because of the reception the TayJay team got in the tag tournament. I imagine they would have went in a different character direction for Tay, but given that reception I assume she actually kind of got herself and actual job with the company thanks to that tourney and they figured best way to capitalize was to keep her with Anna. Plus, Anna is still really, really, really green, and though she's improving fast as hell, Tay can hop in and actually wrestle for the DO right away against stronger opponents than Anna can.

They've been saying Cody Rhodes for months on end now. They just can't use it as his actual in-ring name, but anything else is fair game.

Legit lumps in my throat off that one.

I like a lot of what Ford brings to the table, but I'm sorry, she noticeably botches moves in almost every match I've seen her in.

I did mean more Reba than Ford in my comment, but I'll agree, you're not wrong, Ford botches plenty. I'm not arguing that for a second, I'm not blind. I just think we have to be a little more accepting of stuff like that with women's wrestling compared to men's. Is it a double standard? Absolutely it is. Is it worth having a double standard for? If we ever want women's wrestling to truly be on par with the men's, yes, it is.
