Ok folks so who are your 4 faces on the IC Mount Rushmore?
I Started it this at WM era when the title properly came to prominence and ended it in 2002 when it was unified. You can include Patterson etc if ya like.
Who ya got? for me its
Macho Man: - Put the belt on the map in my book. It became a centrepiece of WWF while he was champ.
Ultimate Warrior: 2 time champ plus the first guy to be World & IC champ at the same time.
Razor Ramon: He was synonomous with the title in the 90s and was often the best thing on the show as IC Champ
The Rock: his feud with Austin, Shamrock & HHH in 97/98 made the strap seem important again after a poor 96 and dreadful 97 of hotshotting.
It was very difficult for me to leave Bret & Hennig off this list....took me ages to decide man!!!
EDIT: "mary" above is meant to be Marty Jannetty.....LOL

In no order... Savage Honky Bret Perfect Damn! You picked my exact same four. In order: Savage (to me he made this belt seem on-par with the WWF World title in terms of importance) Perfect (I don't know if anyone matched up more perfectly with this belt, it just seemed to fit) Bret (kind of in the same mold as Mr. Perfect, plus he had some of the best matches in the companies history while IC Champion) Honky (not the greatest worker but he held this title so well, and he did what he was supposed to, get people in the building to see him get his butt kicked)

When I met Honky Tonk Man a few years ago, I asked him who was the second best IC champ of all time behind him and he said "there were a lot of good ones, Bret Hart was good". Then I asked him something else so that was that.

Savage Mr. Perfect Razor Bret
When thinking of the IC Title pre-2003, these are the 4 who instantly pop into my head as the guys who made the title seem the most important. They each brought prestige to the IC Title and treated it as if it were the world title. They each also had memorable runs with the belt as well.
Rock and HBK are my honorable mentions.
Honkey had a long run but it wasnβt memorable from what Iβve seen outside of Warrior squashing him. JJ and Jericho had a ton of runs but again, none stand out as super memorable.

Great topic and man this was hard to pick. My first three were quite easy to be honest, but the forth pick I was torn between Jericho and Savage
Mr Perfect: he really made that title mean something and that picture the Brain put up of him in the yellow singlet with the IC title is how I always picture Mr. Perfect in my mind.
Razor Ramon: Many people say that he should have been WWF Champion, but I disagree. He completely made that title mean something special when he had it. While Mr. Perfect may get my number one spot, Razor would be a very, very close second. He never needed the world title because he made the IC one seem so important.
Bret Hart: It is kind of crazy when you consider how short his runs with the title are. This was the belt that really cemented him as a singles star. Not only that, I always felt like there was a high chance that Bret Hart would be on at least one of the weekly WWF TV shows when he was the champion, he felt like a real fighting champion.
Chris Jericho: I was really torn between him and Savage, but when I think of Savage I think of him more as the WWF Champion or as the King. Chris Jericho for me was the last guy who made the IC title feel like it was important. I know during this ere titles changed hands a great deal, but he made it mean something.
If I get to add an honorable mention it is the Texas Tornado. I know he held the title for next to no time, but he made a real impression on me as a kid when he made his debut and I was all in on his run as the champion. I was so excited when he won that title that it is one of the most memorable title changes in my 30 plus years as a wrestling fan.

Too freaking hard!!!
So I just picked my favourite four, Bret, Razor, HBK and Diesel! Ha ha ha
Honestly though, no way could I do a proper four. Each era had different IC Champions that were beneficial to that title and that company.
