I still regret not buying the E71 when I saw it at Walmart. But with his main event status now, I’m assuming he’s going to get the Strowman figure push, where he’ll have several releases over the next year. E71 is a sore spot for me. I never saw any fig from this set in any store ever. I just happen to walk down the isle and saw the box peaking out from behind some legos. No where near the wrestling figures. I hadn’t jumped back in full blast to collecting, so I held off. Knowing full well I have a hard time finding anything in my area, I should have known better.

So someone bidding a huge amount of money on a figure makes the seller a scalper?😁 Last time I check, no one is forced to pay that price!

I'd say someone going to a store or stores and clearing out the stock for the sole purpose of selling above retail makes the seller a scalper. The person biding is either lazy, well off, time constrained or frustrated.

The Survivor Series one is easy to get a hold of in the UK already after only being out a week, but Elite 71 was so overpriced for most in that set. I got Adam Cole and Nikki Bella chase in A1 toys here in Scotland, but they only got 3 cases of the set in all 3 stores in Glasgow and Smyths skipped the set. It was gone pretty quick. When B&M got them earlier this summer the price just went up again as a lot of stores didn't get any stock and again it was hard to get a hold of. I sold my original Adam Cole at Christmas last year and really wanted to buy it again and I had no luck in B&M so I had to go the eBay route and god damn did I overpay for it. Just the way it seemed to go with figures during lockdown here.
