I always thought Lance Storm was a guy Vince could have done more with. Here's an idea for booking him during the Invasion.
1)Storm keeps his Team Canada attire.
2)Chris Benoit was going out injured. Give Storm the credit for this injury. Benoit comes out the night after KOTR 2001 (after Booker attacked) and wonders just what the hell is going on etc etc. Storm comes through the crowd and blindsides him. Puts a beatdown on him and sticks him in the Maple Leaf. Jericho has to make the save. Benoit is written off TV this way and Storm is given the credit for his injury.
3) Storm takes the name the "Canadian Crippler" since he was the one who shelved Benoit and continues to mock him throughout the year.
4) When Benoit returns? he has a programme waiting for him & the two have a submission match to settle the score.

I was alwaysa fan of Lance Storm, i loved that slide under the opponents legs he would do and then wrap them up in a boston crap I think it was. Anyway, yea him and Benoit would have had a great series of matches. Real old school wrestling feud.

Storm, at worst, should have been booked as an upper midcarder. Great in the ring and his “serious” gimmick played well against “WWF characters” who were usually over the top.
I loved his “Team Canada” gimmick in WCW and they should have allowed him to put a Canadian Flag sticker over the IC Title. Instant heat with WWF fans.

It would never work, not because of Lance, but because Vince didn't want to make any WCW talent seem superior to the WWF. Only Booker T was held up high, and even he was taking a back seat in the WCW Title feud by having Shane McMahon be involved too.
In a perfect world, they would have made Lance and Justin be a great tag team. The feuds the Impact Players could have had with Edge & Christian before they split, the Hardy Boyz, and the Dudley's would have been amazing!

Really enjoyed his work in WCW and ECW.Only thing I liked about his WWE run was his run as tag champs with Christian/Regal in 02/3.
Him and Benoit would've tore it up though no doubt.

Imagine Benoit and Storm as a tag team?!
Their personalities on air were pretty similar. No character type of personality, that just wrestled.
I know Dean Douglas had a crappy IC Title reign (20 minutes I believe) but I still put Lance's IC Title reign as worse than Dean's. Mainly because Lance should have held it longer than 3 weeks or so that he did hold it. It's cool he won it, but the fact he held it for a few weeks he may as well not even held it at all. At least with Dean Douglas holding it for 20 minutes it's pretty memorable because it only lasted 20 minutes! I can't tell you one thing about Lance's IC Title reign except that he beat Albert for it, and lost it to Edge at SummerSlam.
