He was the most immobile wrestler I've ever seen. I often wondered if he had some kind of leg abnormality or past injury that caused him to walk so gingerly. More than once, I fast-forwarded through his matches to see that he did nothing except move in a circle and let his opponent work around him. I've seen 400lb indy mud show guys who were shaped like beach balls who still moved better than Khali. Yes, he was as bad as you've heard. Outside of gimmick booking abominations like David Arquette and Vince Russo, I can't think of a worse world title holder.

He wasn’t a great wrestler, but I appreciated him nonetheless, a muscular giant with a couple of power moves to easily overwhelm somebody with (kayfabewise).
Remember when he was supposed to have that Punjabi Prison match with Undertaker? He was suspended due to “elevated enzymes” and he lost a lot of bulk after that. That’s when his legs started to make him look like he was walking on a pair of delicate stilts.
I still have hope that Mattel will make an Elite of him one day.
For the shock of your life watch this video at the 12/13 second mark.......yes, he jumps into the ring........just WOW

People over exaggerate how bad he was, just for the fact that he wasn't a main event guy for long. He took out Taker, had his dominant year or so, got some decent matches with Hunter and Cena, then once his time as an attraction ran it's course, he was a comedy undercard act, which he was fine at. He was a big monster that was dominant for a year so he could be slayed a couple times. People act like he was on top of the card and the focal point of everything for half a decade.

His best moment was Battleground 2016 (2017?) where he helped Jinder and held the title like he won it Honestly I was so happy for him to return there and just stand in the background as Jinders body guard type thing. It would have made more sense as no one was taking Mahal seriously, it's a tried and proven method of getting a mid card talent over as a maineventer. I never disliked Khali I think they could have done more to help him booking wise. He shouldn't have been near the world title scene, he should have been someone's big dumb giant body guard. He didn't need to be a great mover or shaker, as long as he could walk, throw that chop and double handed chokeslam as a bodyguard his role would have been fulfilled.

Swinging back through to reaffirm that he was, in fact, THAT bad.

Seriously, I might try and book a match against him next year if he’s still active. Love Khali.

Even being 7” tall I saw nothing that he did in the ring entertaining or impressive. So yes to me he was that bad.

How dare any of you speak bad of our almighty Lord The Great Khali. Only praise for Big Dalip, absolute icon! Just to show how great he is, here he is taking the time to pose for a picture with a fan. Absolute professional! The great Khali could beat that guys ass in the octagon

I liked Khali. He served his purpose as an attraction. I may be in the minority but I liked the formula of Undertaker vs. unique monster rinse and repeat

Honestly. No. He served his purpose. Matches don't always have to be 57 star rated

He was like well over seven foot tall and could hardly walk.... what did fans expect him to do??
Moonsaults??
450 splashes??
Shooting Star Presses??
Now see, he already did all that in Japan. He didn't have to do that in the WWE.

To elaborate on this; I was 13 when Khali debuted. I was a lurker on WF and wasn’t much of a dirt sheet reader at the time. I enjoyed wrestling for the entertainment as it was intended prior to the internet ruining it and I thought Khali was awful. Did he have the look for a giant, massive, monstrous heel? Of course he did. Did he back it up in the ring? Of course not, did anyone expect him to? Nope... as somebody who speaks and understands Punjabi, I didn’t know wtf he was saying half the time but I know Ranjan Singh certainly wasn’t translating it correctly! He did his job, he made his money, he left, he sucked.

HHH and Cena enough respectable bouts out of him and I liked his triple threat at GAB 07 he was a attraction for sure I was really happy to see him live back in 2012. But; yeah should of never been World champ. If anything I would of put the belt on Umaga.
