That trailer f*cks. HARD. And it was made when only 1/3 had filmed.
Great use of "Something in the Way" by Nirvana.
Plus this looks more like a film than a comic book movie. I'm so in.

I think this is a step in a very right direction for promising new spin on the Bat.

Oh man, Keaton was fantastic in that role, absolutely fantastic. Right before the last Avengers came out, I spent weeks binging through all the movies. Rewatching my favorites, and filling in the ones I hadn't seen. None of the DC movies have moved me, at all. I mean, they were okay but I have no urge to rewatch them. Talking specifically the... What do we call it? Post-Nolan era? I prefer the 300 era. I remember hating Man of Steel so much, especially considering how well received it was compared to Superman Returns. And I can't stress this enough, Superman Returns wasn't that bad at all. It really kinda is. It's too long and boring. I would probably have a better opinion on Superman Returns if it wasn't a direct sequel to the Reeves movies. But everyone has their own tastes and I can see why people like it. It really is shot well. I will give it that. But beyond that? It really ain't that good.

I thought it stuck out in a good way for the time of everything going darker and grittier, or more grounded. I like the brightness of it. I agree everyone has their tastes. I like Returns for the same reasons I liked Amazing Spider-Man 1. They reminded me of extended episodes of cartoons I watched as a kid. The basic plots (growing land/turn everyone into lizard men) and cartoonishness of it appealed to me. Also, despite how much at bat I'm going for these two movies, I don't think they're amazing cinema or anything. Just not bad popcorn watches.

I'm not complaining or anything about Robert Pattinson being cast as Batman. I am surprised there wasn't an uproar on the internet over him being cast as Batman. People freaked out all over the internet about Ben Affleck being cast as Batman, but there wasn't a public backlash this time around. He just fits. If someone asked me what a billionaire playboy crime fighter would look like, Robert Pattinson is basically the closest possible I can think of.

There have been content creators like Doomcock, Nerdrotic,Midnight's Edge etc. that have been cutting up on Pattinson being cast and trying to run with dirt reports about him being difficult on set and threats on shutting down because he isn't buff enough. But they have obvious agendas against him and really just post nothing but hate videos. I just tune them out. I can't say I was even a fan or saw most of his work, but hey, he's Batman now so I'm officially on his side. lol

I'm looking forward to this, especially after the first trailer. I've read enough comics by enough different writers and artists that I'm open to multiple interpretations of these characters on screen.
It's fine to have Keaton's Batman, Bale's Batman, and now Pattinson's Batman. Same with the directors (Burton, Nolan, and Reeves). I don't understand the people who seem to expect or want the same thing again. There are plenty of actors, directors, and writers who could make a good Batman movie (or Superman or Avengers or whatever), and I think this could be just that. Or maybe even better or the best.
