There’s plenty. The Basic and Battle Pack lines took a tumble when the figures lost their deco and articulation.

Both Bret and Anvil are much smaller than their Elites and the HTM in that Warrior set is way smaller than his Elite also. And the Macho Man with Punk is too tall compared to his Elite.

Some good ones there except for the HTM/Warrior. Warrior was already released as an Elite and HTM was way too small. It was hideous.

Probably people who collect basics TBH. Didn’t know 6 yr olds were on here. I’m assuming you lack self awareness then

had some gems like the lita/stratus, rollins/becky, owens/ali . My Walmart can't sell any of the Rollins/Becky Battle Pack. They're piling up. The other Battle Packs in that series continue to sell through though.

Only one at most of the others though.

I used to be super into basics but the deco seems worse on basics now and the articulation cuts make them less fun plus the arm sculpts are just bad now.
Battle Packs as we know it are done, sure only in that it is a name they won't use any more. Still gonna be the same concept.

But it definitely feels like within the last 9-12 months the quality changed significantly. To me the look and the feel of the plastic is totally different, and the figures have this weird glossiness to them that really makes them stand out from other figures. And not in a good way...

The only basics I have are Warriors and the blue Hart Foundation. I would consider grabbing the WCW Legion of Doom though. I'll also convert as many Warriors as I can from elite to basic as they release more Warriors with the correct trunk colours Bret Hart / Steve Austin HBK / Taker Macho / Punk Jake / Ambrose Warrior / Honky - though Warrior is a bit tall. Some good ones there except for the HTM/Warrior. Warrior was already released as an Elite and HTM was way too small. It was hideous. They've released that figure a bunch of times and still got the boot colour and face paint colour wrong

I'm not the biggest fan of the basics or battle packs, but I will pick up one here or there if it's a Legends/Flashback release or if it's a specific character or attire.
I'm sure this is just a concept to freshen up the two packs for a while. Every once in a while Mattel does a brand change or package refresh to keep the lines interesting.

Becky's figures sold well while she was Hot on TV. but since she went out on Maternity. her figures cooled. Also noticed that Miss Elizabeth's new figure is cooling on shelves. and its a decent figure from a hot angle at summerslam 88

I never liked basics due to the lack of articulation. I mean I don't need toybiz type articulation but those legs are just so stupid. Can't even do a power bomb with basics. I would probably buy them if they at least had thigh ball joints.

It was mentioned about a month ago, but to me it just sounded like a name change as we’re still be getting two basic figures together. What was the battle pack that was Miz and Alex Riley I think 12? They weren’t called battle packs before that. It was a branding change Series 13 (ARy & Miz, Cody & Rey, and Cena & Truth) was when they switched over to Battle Packs. The other sets just had subtitles like "Ultimate Rivals" or "Supreme Teams".

Yes this is true and I also remember there wasn’t actually a 2-Packs series 12, it was cancelled. It went from 2-Packs series 11 to Battle Packs series 13 which I always thought was weird.

Everyone keeps saying "basics are for the kids" but every time I see on social media a kid opening/playing with a figure or RSC sharing a kids video of an opening, they almost always have elites. Im starting to think "the kids" is just an excuse for people/parents being cheap. Would you rather your kid break a $10 figure or a $20 figure?
