I dunno man, appreciate the work that went into this, but $42 plus $26 for US shipping is a hard pill to swallow...

I understand. Shipping is US19 approx. But if it’s too much to pay, it’s too much to pay.

Got mine on order; best of luck selling them. This will be the first and only guide I'd ever consider purchasing, as I consider everything else just a reflection of that very moment in time which quickly gets outdated (Going back to Lee's in the '90s when I was collecting, and likely before that as well)

Job well done! I hope you sell a lot of copies! Thanks Grumpy one. The book speaks for itself, I'm not going to 'talk it up'. Some pre-orders have already started landing in the US and NZ so keep an eye out to see what the readers think. That's the best way to judge.

You've had a glimpse right from it's early days! Your's is on the way!

Has anybody else here ordered one? I'm nearly done with mine aside from reading a couple series worth of figure profiles, and it's incredibly well-done!

I always put you over in any LJN post, like I say yours was one of the sites in the early days that shed light on a lot of later series LJNs for me. Even the toy magazines (one had an article by Spitz who owned the store profiled in a WWF 1995 magazine-I wonder what happened to him) didn't have any information on the planned but not released LJNs. If I owned a pawn shop and needed an "expert" you would be my LJN expert. I always liked the LJNs more than the Hasbros even though I grew up with Hasbros. I guess it was about not having them when I was a kid, except for a few, and the hunt of trying to complete the collection in my teens.

I dunno man, appreciate the work that went into this, but $42 plus $26 for US shipping is a hard pill to swallow... It's an amazing book. In Canada they cost roughly $80 shipped. I got mine and LOVE it. It will take you weeks to read through it and I guarantee you will read parts repeatedly. If you'll spend $50 or so on a random figure giving big companies your money, why couldn't you spend $70 on a 273 page book with hundreds of pictures and information about an entire decade of figures and memorabilia, supporting one guy who spent years doing something for fellow collectors?

Thanks Ozz and Kasper! Glad you guys are enjoying the book. It's been a long project, a labor of love so to speak - but from the reaction of guys who have it - well worth the slog!

Also, why keep buying the 3rd, 4th, 10th, 20th editions of the WWE encyclopedia? WWE just keeps putting a new edition out because they know the fans just "have to have it." The first edition is history so why not build up the next edition of history for the next few decades.

I'm just upset I'm done with it and there's nothing else to read.
Lots of interesting info in here, and lots of non-figure history that brings you back to what we knew, may have missed way back when, or otherwise surely never would have known (lots of LJN company history, etc.). Just a great collection of information all relating to, and including of course, the figures themselves.

And trace that 1984 - to april 90 Golden Age history! I wouldn't hold my breath for a new book just yet, but there is always the possibility!

Ordered this the other day. Let’s see how long it takes to Germany. I am looking forward to reading it.

Thanks Casanova, you've got the tracking automatically sent, at some point that tracking will switch over to your local carrier. I'd be hoping for 4 weeks, but it depends on the Covid impact for Germany locally on mail volumes as well.

Are you maybe going to do a Hasbro guide later?
