With Randy Orton winning his 14th World Championship this past Sunday, I want to know which part of Randy Orton's career has been the best.

The Orton of 2004 - 2006 was one of my favourite wrestlers in the company. Easily in my top 5 guys.
Everything else he's done?? Meh, it's cool, but nothing beat that era. He was young, hungry, wanting to succeed, had a chip on his shoulder. He had a great reign as IC Champion, amazing matches with Foley, Edge, and Benjamin. Won the World Title in a great match with Benoit, had a great run in Evolution, turned face, feuded with Evolution, turned heel to feud with Taker and was the only great feud Taker had in 2005. Did some good stuff with Rey and Angle, went back to Raw, teamed with Edge to do Rated RKO and had a great feud with DX.
To me, that was the best Orton era.

I went with Legacy although what I realized is that I find most if not all of his eras had flashes of brilliance but also trailed off sometimes as well.
Legend Killer Orton in late ‘03-mid ‘04 was great but his face turn and subsequent awful ‘06 run into ‘07 were pretty bad Age of Orton was great in mid ‘07 into early ‘08 but due to injury brought a halt to anything else Legacy was great when he was feuding with the McMahons but the whole Batista/DX/Cena thing and everything after was awful The face turn after started off white hot but fizzled after losing to Miz (which that would kill any push losing to Miz multiple times on PPV) The Authority was probably my least favorite era of Orton The Wyatt Family stuff started off great but was killed after that awful match at Mania and subsequent House of Horrors Current Orton had a few flashes here and there in feuds with AJ, Hardy, Edge but everything else was forgettable imo

The Legend Killer and his run with Evolution for me. Sure his stuff in 2020 has been good, but the majority of his career has been filled with mediocre matches and boring storylines that feel like he is going through the motions. I know some people rank him as one of the all time greats, he would not even crack the top 50 for me. People seem so willing to overlook the 9 months of a year he is boring and give him a pass for it as long as he has a couple of months where he is "motivated".

Legend Killer. I’ve watched Randy’s entire career from the moment he debuted on Smackdown in 2002 and nothing comes close to his legend killer run. He got to show his amazing charisma by playing a cocky, upstart prodigy who backed up his words and put in some of his most memorable matches during that run. Since then while his in-ring work has always been good, he mostly came off as boring to me as they literally stripped him of everything that made him popular in the first place during his first few years.

His original run, just has to be. From 07 up to probably the last 2 and a bit years he was the bane of alot of main event angles and big matches. In a few years time when this past run becomes classic, I will definitely laud it as being close to his best work.

Legend killer. Everything after that was boring.

I love everything Orton has done but seeing this is the classic board and the Legend Killer was my favorite that’s what I will go with.

The Legend Killer. Produced his best matches including that absolute belter with Foley from Backlash 2004 & UT @ WM. It suited his genuine real life sh*tbird personality to a tee. I loved the team with Edge too. Pity HHH tore the quad the 2nd time...that feud was heating up nicely.
Vince had something good going with Legacy but they were of course fed to that insatiable entity...the McMahon ego. The entire faction RAN AWAY from Shane McMahon after he beat them up ON HIS OWN. As Cornette says? why the f*ck were people going to be excited by a WM match with HHH when thats whats happening on TV....he was right too.

All of them have they're special characteristics and moments.
I am Legend Killer Orton when it all comes down to it. That's the Orton I pretty much grew up on. I love Age Of Orton 07/08 as well; secondary Orton I grew up with. I think that was Orton's best title reign to date. And was this great transition into the Viper character. I loved Legacy and seeing the growth of Orton. Orton creating his own faction like Evolution and coming after Triple H. Loved the full circle story. His 2010 Face run was alright, it started really strong. But totally fizzled out by the end of 2010. And I think one of my least favorite Orton performances was WM 27. I think Orton was really bland in 2010-2013. With his work with Christian being the only really appealing stuff from that era. Authority Orton was really boring at points, but you can see Orton in this era really matured as character. At this point he's done everything you could possibly do a s*** ton of times over again. He's fixture of the company and see's himself in this matured light. I think his work with Bryan was fantastic. As well as WM XXX match. Evolution reunion. At the end it was good run. I never cared much after his program with Seth Rollins; and his work with Wyatt was garbage. And I personally thought he was going to go to AEW or try to venture out somewhere. And I never really cared much for what Orton was doing, until his work with Kofi in 2019. And I think this is some of Orton's greatest work.

I thought he was great in 12 Rounds 2. I thought John Cena's acting and the storyline was better in the first movie but for being a direct to DVD I really enjoyed Randy's version. I'm a huge fan of his father so I will always hold a soft spot for Randy despite some of the issues in his early career. He's grown since the early 2000s and always had a good performance in WWE, IMO.

Hands down the legend killer, should've always kept that gimmick. The viper became boring, I couldn't stand it.
Legend Killer Orton should've been the one to break Taker's streak in a second confrontation, o well.

I was all about Orton from Dec 08- Mania 25 (Actually the mania 25 match was such a let down I felt he lost alot of steam) So thats my pick.
I did really like heel Orton in 03/04 and current Orton is also fantastic. Those are the top 3 to me

The best era of Orton's career and the clear highly was his run in Evolution. So '03-'04 is his peak, liked the face turn in '04 but hated him losing the title a month after winning it which in turned pretty much killed him as a face and why they turned him heel again so quickly in '05 to feud with Taker.
