I think one of the biggest omissions is a complete matching Evolution. Either in suits or ring attire with all the gold.

Yeah, I would’ve loved if they made some more RA era figures, specifically of guys they can’t make now because of them being in other companies. Some of the guys I would’ve liked to have gotten as Elites:
-Triple H (WrestleMania 20 with the white boots) -Goldberg (Royal Rumble 2004 w/ full beard) -Scott Steiner (preferably the long tights) -Matt Hardy (V1 WrestleMania 19 red pants, 2005 “I Will Not Die” attire from Edge feud) -Jeff Hardy (Royal Rumble 2003) -Shawn Michaels (Summerslam 2005 as an Elite, or Mania 20) -Batista (Royal Rumble 2003) -Gene Snitsky (2004 “Wasn’t My Fault”) -Muhammad Hassan (A Battle Pack with Daivari too would be sick!) -Billy Gunn (2003/2004 Mr. Ass attire) -Chris Jericho (Black and Pink tights from SD! Shut Your Mouth) -Billy and Chuck Elite 2-Pack (red tights, headbands, white jackets, and alternate long and short hair heads for Chuck) -A-Train -Los Guerreros Elite 2-Pack -Rey Mysterio (Royal Rumble 2006 or HalfGreen/HalfRed attire) -Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin “Team Angle” 2-Pack -I know we’ll never get any version of him but... Chris Benoit

I only collect Mattel RA-Era figures with the occassional current star and I must say I have a good percentage of the guys that meant something.
Jericho, Booker T, Kurt Angle, Triple H, Cena, Orton, Batista, Rey, Jeff, Punk, ABA Undertaker, etc.
But man, Mattel has to give us more RA Shawn Michaels figures. That's my only gripe.
WrestleMania XIX would be my go-to followed by WM21.

I feel like they've made a ton of RA era figures recently. That makes up the majority of the DoD line. The reality is that most of the undercard guys from that era are never going to get signed to deals, so it's going to be a top-heavy roster. I'm sure they'll be continue making figures from that era, and Steve has said as much. But the reality is that it's not an era that had the viewership or national exposure of the 80's or 90's, and I doubt it will ever be represented at the same level in the line.

AFA recently stated in a IG Live stream that when Mattel took over the license they wanted to make a product that was new and fresh as Jakks had previously made tons of Lineups that were based from the RA Era. And although that is true, it doesn't excuse the fact that they’re is a lack of Ruthless Aggression based figures in ELITE lineup’s. To start off I do believe that stars such as The Ultimate Warrior or Randy Savage sell incredible well in stores and online retailers. But is that the only era and Stars that are needed to keep the lineup’s relevant?. I completely agree with the opinion and thought of as to why Mattel didn’t make as many RA based figures in the beginning of their run but that was 10yrs ago!. I can’t say that the RA era was tossed aside or completely ignored because that’s just not true. Over the year’s we’ve had tons of figures from that era released but were they really worth it?. I’m a fan of John Cena but did we need 2 mid 2000’s half a$$ Cena’s made with random in-accurate accessories? NO!. Why not shift your focus on memorable gears such as Edge’s Purple and Red Camo gears from 2007/2008 or Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania 23 gear?. Those two examples are no brainer’s (Lord I hope) when it comes to choosing guys who should receive Elite figures form that era that haven’t in a while). Remember! Ringside Fest is next week! So ask your questions that will be probably answered with the following oh so familiar answer...........”As long as they are under a contract they are always a possibility!.” 😉 RA fan’s step up get the thread rolling cause unfortunately we might not get our voices seriously heard anytime soon. And considering the recent Legends Warrior was based on a outfit he wore hours before he dropped faster than a Gucci Mane mixtape our suggestions are definitely not going anywhere. The only thing I disagree with is the fact that Mattel said they were going to do something new and fresh, in terms of the actual figures themselves and the materials used and the plastic, yes Mattel has done great, I love the elite articulation and the basics were pretty decent up until they changed, but, Mattel DEFINITELY Hasn’t gave us the variety of superstars that jakks did. If you look at the classic superstars line from jakks, why did we get 2 nwo hogans so soon, why did we get droz but not droz from Mattel? Why did we get a cool LOD 2000 from jakks and still nothing from Mattel yet, we’ve gotten Luna Vachon, we’ve gotten Val Venus, all from jakks, Mattel continues to give us the same mess. And yes I agreee we need more ruthless aggression era figs, despite what anyone says or how they try to twist it, we have not gotten much R.A from mattel

im kinda surprised they havent moved into that direction. since so many Attitude talent will never be made. maybe its the same for RA . kinda why we keep getting mutiples of guys we gotten already. But then again that list is kinda long..so maybe the well is dry.

But then again that list is kinda long..so maybe the well is dry. It would be much more helpful for Mattel to get our input and insight if we KNEW who’s available to make. With talent deals always changing its nearly impossible to keep up with it. Not sure if they can do that but that would help

Otherwise, alternate attires would be appreciated but I'm impartial.

Mattel definitely lacks RA figures. Never got WM18 Chris Jericho, 04 Dudley Boys, WMXX Eddie Guerrero, 04 Kurt Angle. RA has some great attires and hate that Mattel just skips them. WMXX Kurt Angle would have been amazing!

Let me disagree on this. First of all, an Evolution Batista is still up in the air, for example. Plus, you’re telling me that guys like Junkyard Dog, Warlord or The Berzerker are more remembered than a Mr. Kennedy (that depends if Mattel will have the rights to make one, of course), a Carlito (i know they made a basic, i’m talking about a 05 one) or a Christian? Everybody has his favorite era, but if you talk about “clamored guys”, let’s have a look at the list of guys made. I’m just saying, of course i love Mattel’s job on figures. They literally just made a Christian, and he’s getting an RA era in the Fans Choice set. The bottom line is guys like Kennedy or Carlito are never gonna have legends merchandising deals, so they’re never gonna get made by Mattel. We could get a Billy Kidman or a Jamie Noble cause they work there, but the depths that Jakks went to are not gonna happen again. Isn't the Christian in the Fan Takeover set from like 2011? In all seriousness the answer is obvious to me. The RA era wasn't that long ago, so guys like Kennedy and Carlito, etc, who may be remembered are still working, mostly Indies, and thus aren't on WWE deals. The RA era was 2002-2007, so the beginning is 18 years ago now (Jesus I'm old). For context, the start of the 80s boom was 19 years old at the start of the CS line in 2004. I think it's got way more to do with talent availability like you said than the time frame not being that long ago. Kennedy debuted on TV 15 years ago, Carlito did 16 years ago.

Decade of Domination John Cena is one of the hottest toys right now, so I could see more demand for RA figures. I would buy Chris Masters-Survivor Series 2005 CM Punk-Great American Bash 2008 Sylvan Grenier-AD13 remake or 2006 model gimmick It’s terribly inaccurate though. Like do they even go back and look at clips to compare and make it accurate as possible?

As much as I love the RA era, there’s a user on Instagram (wwe figure hunter) who has made me almost happy to see none or few get made. He nonstop bags on AFA and just comes across as a entitled crybaby. His story today was him saying for everyone to email AFA and tell him how bad we want RA figures because one of his posts had a hundred something requests for RA era attires. Like he thinks his polling holds any merit? Just strange to me that his entire page partially revolves around whining and crying about the lack of RA figures.
I love the RA era as much as anyone else, I grew up with it primarily and really got me into wrestling, but I’m not getting worked up or losing sleep over there not being an RA character in every line.

When Mattel took over the line there wasn’t much nostalgia for the RA era. It literally just ended and was transitioning in the PG era. The era was too recent to attract older flashback/legends collectors but also too old for people collecting the modern era. Enough time has passed where people are now nostalgic for that era. Plus it’s not like we haven’t gottten anything. In the elites we’ve gotten: Cena (DM, DoD, WM, TRU) Brock (RSC, WM) Orton (legend killer, debut) HHH (purple, red, biker shorts, DX06) HBK (DX06) Boogeyman Hurricane Booker (King x 2, WM) Kane (RSC, DoD, E4) Shelton ECW Punk ECW Matt ECW Lashley Goldberg Edge (Rated R, Edgeheads, WM) Foley (WM) Jericho (DM, RSC) Umaga Team Angle Kurt DM Jeff Hardy JBL Eddie (legends x 2) Lita The Rock Concert Retirement match Flair Natalya (DoD) Kofi (DoD) Beth (DoD) Big Show (DoD) Morrison (SvS) Hall (nWo02) X-Pac (nWo02) And I’m sure there’s more. Those are just what I can think of. Yup, there’s a bunch of stuff. Others that come to mind are Hall of Fame Edge, and at least a couple more of both Hardys (V1 Matt, WWE Shop 2-pack, the recent elite flashback Jeff). Several Undertakers as well. All Stars Punk and Morrison. Elite Rikishi. Elite 18 Jerry Lawler. Also, a lot of figures from around elite series 1-6 or so were from the RA era anyway.

Still need an RA Rey mysterio. The only one we have had out of all 67 of them is the ringside exclusive one.

It's a timing thing. It honestly just doesn't make much sense to focus on that era, particularly because they don't have most of those guys under WWE merch deals. The demand is always far greater for Attitude Era/80s, and those guys are far more likely to have merch deals. And the current era is always going to get top priority figure-wise.
It's the same reasons why we're never gonna have complete WCW or ECW sets from Mattel anytime soon. If you want RA figs, buy the Jakks ones that came out then. I've taken the time to go back and fill my WCW and ECW collections with the older figs and I'll probably do RA sometime as well.
