Better then Inmate 2937462 The idea of Vince looking around his office to find something to with is hilarious Kevin Kelly doesn't see the humour there. ‘It’s really not something to joke about if I’m being honest

According to “reports” Vince was a big fan of the Riddle vs Sheamus match from Monday. And he praised everyone involved. Vince then proposed making Riddle a more serious competitor, and Riddle agreed. I guess this is part of that change.

Knowing Vince, he would have changed Bill Goldberg's name to Goldberg.

Knowing Vince, he would have changed Bill Goldberg's name to Goldberg. Big Willy G. Make him Gable's muscle, then have him turn on Gabes for Dat huge main event push. Good sh*t.

Isn’t that pretty much what they refer to him as on commentary most of the time anyway? I don’t think dropping the “Matt” will affect his career that much lol

This is just ridiculous, pathetic. If Vince is making these decisions, the guy needs to take a long hard look at himself.

is it a "big" deal? of course not. its just one of those things, like....WHY?
it just comes across as so nitpicky and stupid. its not like matt riddle's name was too long or complicated. and on top of that it is a good wrestling name. maybe its so Vince can own an IP? it just seems so silly and unnecessary to change a guy's name 2 years in to his run.

It’s dumb in a sense that other guys have both names still.
It’s a pretty big deal story wise and costs the guy legitimacy.

Shorty G, Riddle, The Freak ... just par for the course for the garbage company that is WWE.

If you give Meltzer's info any credence, he's claiming the reason (other than Vince's "eccentricities") is to lessen the chances people come upon the upcoming legal issues and unpleasantness involving the former Matt in internet searches.
Guess that could explain "The Freak" moniker as well. Now how to fix Velveteen Dream...

You'll get over it. It's not like Vince told Riddle that he should work every match with his hands in his pockets like an idiot. What moron would ever think that is good? It's just a shortened name. Has it ever really hurt anyone?

He’s had an awful year when it’s coming to reporting thing lmao he’s grasping at straws now to gain some credibility back First it was Orton winning at SummerSlam, then it was Orton winning at Clash, then the time he says nothing, Orton wins at the PPV lol

Riddle me this, Riddle me that Who's afraid of skinny stoner Matt? The only thing that's a riddle to me, is why anybody would be entertained by him to begin with. Couldn't stand him from the second I first set eyes on him - and the fact that he got fed Hero/Ohno, on his debut, wasn't going to make him any more appealing.

I'm serious though, his appeal in NXT was through the roof with the teenage & early 20's audience. He was consistently a big ratings draw for the younger demo's, his shtick clicks with the young audience.
