I hope Umaga has the black face design on both legs of his tights, although I'm not seeing it in the photos. Hopefully this isn't another situation like Legends Jake, where they use a reference photo of one side of the tights, and assume the other side doesn't have the same design.

Bill said in the video that it's a very early proto and that they are still working on finalizing it. I don't know why I'm the one quoted as saying it looks like a bootleg, but I didn't say that. I absolutely popped for Mania 12 Warrior, though the face looks a bit off at the moment. Still pumped.
From an aesthetic standpoint these all look amazing. My only gripe remains just the sheer number of repaint legends of guys that we already have. I don't need any more Austin, Flair, HHH, Hardy, Steamboat, etc. And I love those guys. And they're taking up some prime real estate spots (Ultimates, etc.)
Still impressed but 10 years in this line would benefit soooooooo much from fresher legends names.

Just dawned on me, juding by the design of the vest, the UE Austin is probably based on Mania 13.
Now all we need is an Elite or UE Bret to go with him...

Imagin having something on your gear every day for 5 years and even all the basics and elites mattel made of you, 82 series in, they leave it off. Even for months me harping at mattel that the render of Bliss has flawed kickpads they still make them plain black.

At least Flair and Macho will have jackets. The figures that don't have swappable arms for jackets and stuff will have butterfly joints starting with series 7. I think that was confirmed back at SDCC. If you look at the renders of Austin and Flair you can see clearly that they have butterfly joints. It was confirmed Flair's robe would be soft goods and along the same lines (I'm guessing in terms of quality) as Charlotte's robe. |

- The Ultimates all look good.
- I like both Warriors, but I still want an Elite neon green more than what was shown.
- Vince wishes Keith Lee looked like that figure.
- I'm happy with the NXT return Balor, but wish he had the red X on his left knee pad that he wore a match or two later.
- Elite 85 is a hell of set already. Hopefully a Scarlett is released around the same time as Kross.
- That Fan Takeover set is dull, but the Royal Rumble set is good.
- They keep ignoring the requests for bigger arms and legs for Austin.
- I continue to enjoy the Masters line.

Well, two things: I'd still like the occasional repaint attire here and there. But even with him there's wayyyyyy too many repaints. I absolutely don't see the need for his yellow trunks attire, or a reissue of his Mania 6 figure that has already been released TWICE. At least his Mania 12 duster look is a significant departure from the traditional Warrior look. Flair is one of my favorites of all-time. I don't need a Flair ultimate after his previous robed looks. I don't need the exact same Steamboat from the old Flashbacks set. And I don't need a HHH that is almost identical to his Ultimate. If you're asking me would I rather have this Warrior and all of these variant attire repaints or fresh new faces and no attire repaints I'd easily choose the second option. EDIT: I'll add the other reason I'm mainly pumped for this Warrior is we've never had a New Generation Warrior before. All those other guys I mentioned have had multiples that are either exact reissues or super similar to other ones we already have, and in the same eras. |
