Yes the chicken claw should be on the hat. That poncho looks like Dutch mantel or something. Big giant fringe and the way it hangs. No no no.

It looks like that figure will have two heads, one with the full face paint and one with worn face paint, like how his face paint looked when he and Hogan faced off in the rumble match. 

I’m going to pre-frame this by saying I’ll be buying a lot of what has been revealed tonight, simply as I need them in the collection. I also think these moans are born out of the fact that Mattel has shown on many occasions recently, they can absolutely hit it out of the park and make the best figures out there...so maybe they’ve raised expectations but, I’m so disappointed and frustrated with a lot of these releases.

Rumble Austin & Warrior - what is that Austin scan? They’ve been nailing him for ages, this is one of the worst they’ve done. The warrior is really underwhelming, great we’ve finally got the yellow IC but other than that it’s a repaint of a recent basic.

Hollywood Hogan - we’ve waited so long for this figure and given Steve said recently it was the best figure they’ve done or his favourite, I was pumped to see it. Two of the three scans are awful, he looks like a kids TV presenter. Far too happy/kind and his eyes are so weird. The sunglasses are going to have to be on to save it which for an Ultimate and such a hugely anticipated figure is unbelievably disappointing. Nowhere near their recent standard of scans. Also....FLORIDA TAN!! Why is he so pale?? Hogan was always super tanned but particularly as Hollywood - so many people have pointed this out and requested it before. Lastly, the weight belt saying NWO rather than Hollywood- why?? Didn’t we have this issue five years ago and they promised to fix it before the figure got cancelled? Now they finally get to make it and drop the ball. This should have been a really special figure and in reality it’s probably the worst UE they’ve done.

Ringside warrior - I think they said this has work left to do so hopefully they can turn this around. The attire is awesome, no doubt...but that scan and hair just ruins it...I think I heard Bill say it’s a new one? Doesn’t really look new and the hair mould looks familiar. Doesn’t capture the look from WM12 for me...I’m sure his hair was different in style? And What’s with Mattel not being able to do blonde hair?!? Come on guys. Why does it always end up a weird mustard colour?? Can’t be that hard?! Hopefully they can fix this?

In the interest of balance and fairness, Lawler is awesome, Roddy & T unreal and love the packaging, tempted to get two to keep one MOC. Dusty is cool and the Flair & Austin ultimates look like they will be back to the high standard we’ve come to expect. I really wish they could find a way to have a middle finger option for Austin...no kids are buying UEs of legends. Even if they had it so you can move the fingers, they pose them in fists but we have the option to flip the bird, that would really be ‘ultimate’.

Was hoping to see some first in the line flashbacks/legends too, no idea if there’s more reveals due tomorrow? Or the weekend? Hope so.

I mean..I have Hollywood preordered and I might just keep it and store it away with my mocs in the bottom of some box. I am tempted to cancel it though due to how ugly it is.
