Might be a hot take but I like the Royal Rumble Warrior better than the Ringside one. I just don’t think the head depicts his 1996 look good enough. It’s a shame because I was looking forward to it. I’m in the market for a Warrior so I’ll def grab that Rumble one from Target. Still an early prototype. |

The newest of the newer new warriors looks good,..but holy god the fifty one hundred million billion warriors is enough now Please! and thank you. ...More Savage though As a wrestling fan who has no connection to Warrior or Savage, I can definitely say Mattel makes far too many of each. I wish they made as many HBKs as they do Warrior and Savage. And now that they got Hogan, they better put his figures out as often as Warrior and Savage. |

A lot of cool stuff today. Really impressed. Hollywood Hogan is excellent. But UE Fiend is a pass for me, it just looks odd to me and oddly shaped. Keith Lee and JoMo look awesome. Stoked for UE Austin and Flair.

I have thoughts. Many... many thoughts. I’ll try to keep them brief. The Good:
UE Fiend – He Exists UE Austin – He also exists E81 Bianca Belair – She turned out so much better than the render. I’ll be picking her up, despite not particularly liking the attire. (I’ve never been one for figural attire) E82 John Morrison – FINALLY a decent friggin JoMo! Not only decent, that one’s a home run! I’m gonna have to pick one up... which means I’m going to need a Miz to go with him, so if you could step up Mattel and make a new black-coated Miz Elite to match, that’d be great. E83 Dusty Rhodes – Glad to be getting a new, main line Dusty. It’s decent enough that I’ll probably pick one up, I’ve been wanting a good Dusty figure for a bit now. E84 Zelina Vega – She’s absolutely beautiful. Stunning. Gorgeous. I love her and I need one now. E85 Black, Liv, and ‘Taker - All three of these are attires I’ve been waiting for. If they come out looking as good as the renders, I’ll be picking up all three. Actually, I’ll likely be picking up Liv regardless of how she turns out (unless they completely mangle her) and Black is also a strong candidate for “I’ll get him however”. Taker is iffy though. The render is good, but I’m gonna need finished product on him first. Elite 2 Pack Jeff and Triple H - This looks like a good two pack, although a bit sad because we're finally getting a 2001 Jeff, but there's no chance of getting a Matt to match. Also, re-releasing the oval IC belt is always best for business. That piece is so dang hard to come by. I might pick up the 2 pack, but at the very least, I'm going to aim for the belt loose. RR Elite Warrior – HEEEEY! Yellow Belt! I have no personal need or want, but I know many who did, so awesome for all of you! RR Elite Umaga – I really like that Umaga, and I’m not an Umaga fan by a long shot. If I can get this one for a reasonable price, I might pick him up. WM Basic Fiend – That's really *REALLY* good for a basic, way above the average faire and frankly, looks better than the UE edition (if you were to swap out the hands) MotWWEU Becky – Wow. Who’d have thunk one of the best Becky heads they’d ever make would be on a He-Man figure! I wonder if they are swappable, that head would look great on my UE Becky. The Bad: UE Flair – If he doesn’t come with a robe, what’s the point? E81 Shinsuke – That head is bad enough that I’m not even buying him to throw in a box. I’ll pay the extra and just buy the belt loose. E81 Mae Young – Again, why did they give her the carrot top? Mae’s hair was never that orange. That’s some straight up Big Becks ish going on there. E82 Alexa – If you’re gonna make a figure that people are gonna buy two of just for the belt, the kind thing would be to make the figure worth owning. That’s the most boring Alexa figure I’ve ever seen, plus the face ain’t that great. E84 Sheamus – I know the guy’s pale, but jeebus Fan Takeover – The whole thing RR Elite Austin – I know they can’t possibly put the “proof” on there. Doesn’t make it any less disappointing. WM Basic Ricochet – I’m aware it’s a basic but before they stop churning out Rico figures every other series, could you at least put some effort into getting one of them at the correct height? Or is that again, too much to ask? The Ugly:UE Fiend – Ok, I get that we were complaining he was too big, but holy crap did they swing too far the other way. He looks downright scrawny now. Hogan is bigger than him! Also, the tint on the hair has me afraid we’re getting brown hair fiend again. Just UGH. UE Stone Cold – For the love of GOD let the finished product look better than this. First of all, if we aren’t getting at least the smoking skull belt with him, Mattel should be ashamed of themselves. Second, those headsculpts are just awful. The one on the figure? The smiling one? If it wasn’t attached to the figure, I would wonder who it was. The angry head isn’t much better and the neutral head, while the best of the three... Come on Mattel, I KNOW you can make better Austins than this. You have in the past and if this is your newest attempt, go back to what you had before. E83 Michael Hayes – Why. Just why. It isn’t what we see that’s the problem, but if that’s all we’re getting? Michael PS Hayes didn’t spend years going around strutting his stuff to Badstreet USA to have his figure that friggin boring. If that’s all we’re getting, for an exclusive no less? It’s embarrassing. E84 Zelina Vega – This has the potential to be one of the better women’s figures out of this whole set of reveals if they make and scale it right. And it’s a damn EXCLUSIVE. A *Target* Exclusive at that. I’m putting this in the ugly category, not because the figure is bad, but because my wallet is gonna be sobbing with how much I’m gonna have to pay to get my hands on one.

I'm pleased overall with what we saw here today and, if I counted right, there's 13 figures out of the 50 or so here that I'm likely going to be gunning for, plus four loose belts. (The New IC, Oval IC and two of the Women's Tag.)

As a lifelong, die hard WCCW fan that is the exact Hayes I have wanted. Its based more on the era when he feuded with the Von Erichs and not WCW. They probably did not include any jacket or such because during the period the Freebirds jackets and robes often featured the Confederate flag. They may be able to add a black cloth badstreet USA t-shirt for the final product but for the time period the figure is from it is not really needed but would be a welcome addition. I'm just glad i will have him to put up next to Kevin and Kerry. |

Speak for yourself, I want an ultimate Stone Cold and Flair, aswell as a lot of people.. I am speaking for myself, lol. I understand the desire for Mattel to put an Austin in the Ultimate line but we've literally had the exact same attire/figure (minus the change in articulation) released twice already. The Defining Moments one sat on shelves forever. People had chances lol. *Sigh* Can we not with the "People had chances" thing? Yes, that's the exact same attire we've had previously for Austin. Yes, technically, it's a rerelease. But you know what? It's his best known attire and this is a new line. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't someone mention that they have yet to release a single Main, Elite line Stone Cold in wrestling attire? I mean, I could be wrong, but I swear I heard it mentioned. Wrestling attire Austin Elites are damn near impossible to come by these days. I literally broke down and bought a used, marked up one for 30 dollars off the bay just to fill the gap. Even if the heads aren't the best on this, I'm more than happy to pick up an Ultimate Edition Stone Cold in what, by the way, is his most iconic attire.
Because isn't that the point of the ultimate line? To make the "Ultimate" figure for that person? Sure, some of the choices have been iffy. The UE Warrior was nice and all, but it seemed like an odd pick to me. Also, I'm beyond thrilled that we're getting a UE Edge (we're still getting him, right) but making it post-return edge seems weird, even if the HOLY S*%$ moment of his return at the rumble was epic. And finally, why they would pick purple for Ric Flair, I'm not sure. I've always known him more for blue or red. Personally, I'd rather have gold than purple, but you know what, it's fine. I don't need another Flair and I'm digressing.
The point is that the UE line is designed to be the "One above all" figure for that person. That's why they're called "Ultimate". Releasing Austin in any other gear or color scheme wouldn't have made sense. This is his best known look. 3:16 Stone Cold. That was his thing, that's what we're getting and frankly I'm happy about it. I'll be picking it up... even if I might do a head swap.

I thought this was a great day with lots of cool stuff shown.
I hurried up and ordered the 82 Finn and the 83 Drew based on today's pics.
Piper's scan is everything I was hoping it'd be. I got plans for him. Think I'm gonna sell my exclusive Mr T and just use the two pack version.
Hayes looks great. He'll be cool next to the Von Erichs.
Ultimates all look great. Wish we had seen a final shot of the upcoming Savage, but I'll live.
I like the RR Warrior more than the RSE Warrior.
Never expected a Triple H vs Hardy two pack, but I'm on board.

E84 Zelina Vega – This has the potential to be one of the better women’s figures out of this whole set of reveals if they make and scale it right. And it’s a damn EXCLUSIVE. A *Target* Exclusive at that. I’m putting this in the ugly category, not because the figure is bad, but because my wallet is gonna be sobbing with how much I’m gonna have to pay to get my hands on one.
Sorry. That wasn’t remotely brief, but as I said, I had many many thoughts. I'm pleased overall with what we saw here today and, if I counted right, there's 13 figures out of the 50 or so here that I'm likely going to be gunning for, plus four loose belts. (The New IC, Oval IC and two of the Women's Tag.)
As a lifelong, die hard WCCW fan that is the exact Hayes I have wanted. Its based more on the era when he feuded with the Von Erichs and not WCW. They probably did not include any jacket or such because during the period the Freebirds jackets and robes often featured the Confederate flag. They may be able to add a black cloth badstreet USA t-shirt for the final product but for the time period the figure is from it is not really needed but would be a welcome addition. I'm just glad i will have him to put up next to Kevin and Kerry. Ugh. I didn't even think of this but yeah, you're right. If they included a jacket, it'd have to be without the flag and then people would complain more. Better to release it like that. Although, I should be grateful we're even getting him. It just occurred to me that I could get one, get one of those Brood Hardy sets, and try to customized them as a trio. It might work out quite nicely. |

I am speaking for myself, lol. I understand the desire for Mattel to put an Austin in the Ultimate line but we've literally had the exact same attire/figure (minus the change in articulation) released twice already. The Defining Moments one sat on shelves forever. People had chances lol. *Sigh* Can we not with the "People had chances" thing? Yes, that's the exact same attire we've had previously for Austin. Yes, technically, it's a rerelease. But you know what? It's his best known attire and this is a new line. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't someone mention that they have yet to release a single Main, Elite line Stone Cold in wrestling attire? I mean, I could be wrong, but I swear I heard it mentioned. Wrestling attire Austin Elites are damn near impossible to come by these days. I literally broke down and bought a used, marked up one for 30 dollars off the bay just to fill the gap. Even if the heads aren't the best on this, I'm more than happy to pick up an Ultimate Edition Stone Cold in what, by the way, is his most iconic attire.
Because isn't that the point of the ultimate line? To make the "Ultimate" figure for that person? Sure, some of the choices have been iffy. The UE Warrior was nice and all, but it seemed like an odd pick to me. Also, I'm beyond thrilled that we're getting a UE Edge (we're still getting him, right) but making it post-return edge seems weird, even if the HOLY S*%$ moment of his return at the rumble was epic. And finally, why they would pick purple for Ric Flair, I'm not sure. I've always known him more for blue or red. Personally, I'd rather have gold than purple, but you know what, it's fine. I don't need another Flair and I'm digressing.
The point is that the UE line is designed to be the "One above all" figure for that person. That's why they're called "Ultimate". Releasing Austin in any other gear or color scheme wouldn't have made sense. This is his best known look. 3:16 Stone Cold. That was his thing, that's what we're getting and frankly I'm happy about it. I'll be picking it up... even if I might do a head swap.

I'm not trying to sound like an elitist or anything. But this will literally be the fourth release of the same exact attire/figure (just with butterfly shoulder joints). Legends Series 1, HOF Legends Series 1 K-Mart, the Defining Moments, and now this. The Defining Moments and HOF ones hung on the pegs forever. When we only get 8 or so regular Ultimates per year, I'd prefer it be something different from what we've already had. |

FYI!! UE Austin will come with a soft goods t-shirt aswell additional accessories.. Gotta be the smoking skull belt I would hope. Please no. We need a rerelease of the blue strap. Also, I would like to eventually covert as many elites over to ultimates as I can. Austin will go perfect with Rock and Triple H. |

Did they mention what accessories Michael Hayes is coming with? I pray he comes with a Badstreet USA shirt! when I think of Michael PS Hayes I rarely if ever picture him in trunks in his rookie days...all that figure is good for is the head and shades. I have to find a more appropriate Hayes body like George Steele with tall white boots. |
