Hobbs should use the Taz mission as a finish

Women's match killed it tonight. Damn. I can probably count on 2 fingers the number of times I've said that, and I wouldn't need one of the fingers to do it. Solid. Britt's my AEW chick so I'm looking forward to seeing her and Thunder.
I didn't like the Death Triangle before Pac was gone, and not much has changed now. They have nothing in common and don't look like they mesh at all. Obviously other strange pairings have worked before, but I don't like these guys together. Having said that, I think we'll see a lot of solid work from them as they feud with Kingston and B and B.
I think Adam Page is the one who attacked Moxley. I think he's going to try to help Kenny Omega win the title and then demand a shot. After a year of being together their story isn't over after 1 match.
The Jericho/MJF stuff wasn't as bad as before, although the 2nd half was trying to compete.
Good show.

Just finished the episode. Thoroughly enjoyed from top to bottom.
Top Flight needs to be locked down ASAP. I've seen Air Wolf a few times before and was already impressed, but the two of them together, that's something special. I expect the #allelite graphic very shortly. No way Tony lets them slip away.
That opener was awesome. Had great PP/Bucks vibes, but honestly might have been better. Top Flight wrestles well beyond their years. The TH2 run-in only furthers the idea that they've already signed Top Flight/it's imminent.
Enjoyed Cassidy/Kip. I might be the only person on the board who actually enjoys Kip Sabian but I do like him.
PAC/Blade was a little underwhelming in a way, but man is it good to see the Bastard back. The inevitable 6 man tag coming is going to be insanely good. I'm guessing for the Dec. 2nd episode. That pacing would be about right.
I could watch Rosa/Deeb all day long. That was great. I'm so glad they gave them the time they deserve to really shine. They both delivered as expected.
Main event was solid, but Deeb/Rosa & Bucks/Top Flight were both better I think.
Past the matches:
Little sad to see Hobbs turn so early, but that sneer goes so well as a villain so I'm down.
So, I got a banger women's match, a feud with Jade & Brandi furthered in a segment, a Britt/Rosa feud furthered (It started on le twitter), AND an Anna Jay promo for next weeks match!? Pinch me, I'm dreaming. That's how you build a women's division with 1 match a week on the main card. Had 5 women's matches on Dark last night too, which was a great treat that I hope continues.
Kenny is ready to go.
I actually enjoyed both parts of the Jericho thing, which surprised me. I really hated the singing segment, despite MJF's stellar voice. Both parts of this cracked me up though. First part was better for sure, but I still found the 2nd part totally fine.
The one thing that stuck out reading the thread was the (legitimate) comments about some matches being too 50/50. I totally get where you guys are coming from, but I also completely disagree. I always find wrestling and tennis the most comparable. Sure, some 6-0,6-2,6-2 matches happen, but they're very rare. It's far more common for a "dominant" performance to be 6-4, 6-4, 6-4. And sometimes those rookies push you to 5 sets when you least expect it. To me that's what I see in these matches. Similar to basketball games that end 124-120, or 3-2 hockey games. The offense can be very close, but the best always finds that little something extra to rise to the top. That's what makes them the best. The idea is this is the pinnacle of wrestling, so anyone that shows up here can go. No such thing as a true "jobber", because they wouldn't work here. The best of the best just have that little something extra over the rest.

I agree with gmitch. Back in the olden days, you had squashes all tbe time. Very boring. Just done to push stars. And let's just ignore Sports Entertainment alltogether because it's trash. Eventually, Mexico and Japan became hot, then ECW got big ... and those guys had MATCHES. Decades since, indies have stolen the show in terms of "five star" stuff. And that's what AEW wants to give us ... in ring. Yes, we'll get the Entertainment to draw in the marks and casuals ... but OC versus Kip should be good. Having OC squash Kip is boring, serves no purpose (OC is already over), and would be a waste of airtime. I'm here to see wrestling, not promos, not backstage vingettes, and not some Scottish goofball act all superman on some scrub and off him with a Claymore in 25 seconds. AEW is wrestling first, and they do a great job of it. If you want your Entertainment first, watch RAW.

I think you can have a balance there. majority are quite competitive matches, but you can't have Brody Lee struggle with a random midcarder only to decimate Cody. it damages the strength of the character and the angles involved.

So I'm just catching up now did anyone else find it super weird that literally no one during the Omega/Moxley signing segment questioned who attacked Moxley, they voiced a lot of concern about his injuries but that's about it.

Agree. I mentioned that earlier. AEW always called FTR the best tag team in the world. The went 30 minutes with the Bucks before losing at the PPV. These 2 guys came in last night and went 20 minutes. Too much time. If they were a high caliber team coming with a presence, okay. Coming in "off the street" and challenging like that isn't always a good thing. Goddamn that roll up had me though.

Anyone think Team Taz or Willie Hobbs took out Mox then we can get Team Taz with a 4th member vs Mox, Darby, and two partners in blood and guts?

The show averaged out to a good outing. Strong start, tight finish, hit a lull in the middle.
Don't really consider the Top Flight scenario to be a situation where an unknown team gets too much offense. One thing deserving respect is that AEW doesn't hold their signed talent above all others. Certain situations should dictate more of a squash, but I'm certain to them it's also good to showcase their product as part of the industry, not above and beyond it.
Only thing I found fault with the first half of IC segment is no masks. Being isolated in Daily's after being tested and cleared, would like to see better examples being demonstrated but whatevs. Walking around the streets and meandering about in random buildings, didn't appreciate.
The lulls: OC-Sabian was just there (already forgotten about it until now lol), contract signing didn't have the impact they were anticipating, PAC match suffered from TOO MUCH HYPE and is part of the "competitiveness" convo, and blatant Hangover parody could have had a better reception 10 years ago.
Women's match was hard-hitting, great action. Rosa getting more spotlight, never an unwelcome thing. Main event was pretty good. Figured the focus would be about Team Taz setting their sights on Darby with Cody possibly going after Cage soon, but the Hobbs turn is a nice twist.

Like I told someone else, that stretch after Mox's promo to the women's match was really slow for me. Decent episode though. Can't ask for too much more, there were 3 really fun matches.
