Mr Perfect and Coach....Coach was just awful, just did not work at all
Shawn and Jose Lothario...I get the story behind it but it made Shawn look pathetic and it was just weird with Shawn doing his poses and this old guy standing by him
The Steiners and Missy Hyatt-----Just what!?

Johnny V with Demo comes to mind. He was a great manager but his personality didnt fit with the team.

Cesaro and Heyman spring to mind. That run ended up ruining the Swissman's stock as a singles wrestler

I was just thinking about Coach the other day. It was a bad combination more so because of him being new to WWF and Perfect being so well polished in the gimmick. The pairing would have been better suited for Perfect just coming in, in 1988 and early 89 before moving on to Genius and ultimately the best manager in Mr. Perfect. Coach reminds me of Baron Von Raschke. Guy with lots of history in wrestling, great in their territories but really not suited to WWF as managers at their age. I know Baron was only in his late 40s but he seemed pretty ancient even then. I would also add Bobby Heenan and Missing Link. I can't think of any other manager who would really fit with him either.

Babyface DiBiase managing the Steiners in WCW is another one.

I always thought that Heenan and Rude were a bit of a mismatch. To me, Rude was fantastic on the mic and really didn’t need a mouthpiece.
Ted Dibiase and The Ring Master were another. Again Austin on the mic, even before his rise as Stone Cold.
Harvey Wippleman and Sid Justice. Wippleman added nothing.

great topic.
LOD & Sunny is always the 1st one I think of. others include...
1) The Rock & Debra...WTAF? 2) Perfect & Coach (to this day I don't get it?) 3) Vader & Paul Bearer-awful. Both great talents but this was rotten.... 4) The Baron & Powers of Pain. POP are brought in as faces(when attempt #2 to get the RWs fails) but get a manager in an era where heels are 99% of the guys with manager? weird....Baron von Rashke was even weirder. 5) Dibiase as a face with The Steiner's...Dibiases dispute with the nWo was hokey enough as it was. 6) Dusty Rhodes being a manager within the nWo. If I was alive for another 500 years Id be struggling with this one. 7) Jose Lothario with HBK. As his trainer yes...good stuff. Accompanying him ringside? felt out of place to me...just like coach. 8) Doom with Woman....Steiner's with Woman before that. 9) Steiners with Missy? Dunno what the hell.
There's another one but Im struggling to think of it

Noticed some folks don't get the Steiners with Missy, but you might remember the old UWF days it was Missy, Eddie Gilbert, Rick Steiner and Sting. So I can see why in the back they might have thought this would work.

Fuji and Powers of Pain, Fuji leave Demolition, tag team champs, to manage Powers of Pain for what? A little over a year where they did nothing
Michael Hayes and The Hardys

While I loved the pairing and I wouldn’t call him a manager I have to say Jericho with Ralphus.

Bobby Heenan and the Brookyln Brawler
Lombardi was a jobber and Heenan was the GOAT. It made zero sense even if it was to feud with the Red Rooster, Heenan should have had King Haku be the one to feud with the Rooster. Not the Brooklyn Brawler.

They should have tried booking Brawler better with Heenan as manager. After Wrestlemania I think he went back to being a total jobber. They must have had some plans for him to even bring him into the feud. Good point about Haku and Rooster. That would have been a good match, Hercules and Dibiase would have made sense and Brutus can have an opponent (I'm not sure who) he can beat cleanly.

I know his ring name should have been something like The Rib or Rusty Ribinbottom in the WWF but Sapphire with Dusty.
