Attire Changes That Took A Min To Get Used To

First time I saw HBK without his signature long hair I saw my early years flash before my eyes. Same kind of thing as when HHH did the same, a reminder that none of us can escape time.

I was fast forwarding and didn't recognize him at all the first time.

Mine kinda worked in reverse. The first time I saw the Macho Man, he was in that full body suit that was sleeveless, in 1992 (the year I became a fan. I started getting a load of old VHS’s, mainly from 1989 and seeing him in trunks 2as just weird to me. Took a lot of getting used to.

Chris Jericho's heel run in the short tights and suit definitely took some time to get used to. Another one was AJ when he transitioned to the gloves back in TNA. Never really knew what to make of them and thought they looked goofy at first. Mostly because that 02-07 era of AJ in his short colorful tights was my favorite look.

I never liked the British Bulldog in jeans, it just didn't look right.

Warrior in the singlet too, although, some of the designs on the tights were cool.

I also never liked HBK wrestling in the chaps, just looked weird to me.

I did like when the Big Boss Man returned and was wearing the swat team attire, I thought the entire premise was well done with him being Vince's "security".

Although this was before my time, Billy Graham in the Karate gimmick attire, what were they thinking. I never saw that until the mid 90s when youtube and WWE dvds became a thing. I only ever knew him in the ty-dye.

Jake the Snake in the karate pants as well.

When Jim Duggan joined Team Canada. He shaved his beard & cut his hair.

Bob Backlund with a crew cut & wearing a singlet.

Chris Champion as Yoshi Kwan.

Big Boss Man as the Guardian Angel. Eew.

Adrian Adonis turning "Adorable".

Don Muraco wearing tie-dye & juicing as a babyface.

Salvatore Bellomo in his later years looking a lot like Bruiser Brody & dressing like a Roman soldier.

Monster Ripper turning into Bertha Faye.

Snitsky's ECW run with no hair or eyebrows....and yellow teeth.

Jericho in trunks definitely would top my list. Some of the guys like Triple H, Shawn, Taker with the short hair you could see coming because of their age but Jericho just one day came out in trunks part way into his heel run already. I remember thinking something must have happened with his luggage and he lost his gear so that’s all they could make in time... but then he came out again the week after haha.

Also feels funny looking back at it now considering most of their career was spent this way but both Angle and Big Show after they got shaved bald. I was at the No Mercy PPV in ‘04 when Show debuted the haircut and it was just so weird to look at.
