Yeah he’s now bitter old man now, which makes me dislike him even more. Doesn't he have a right to be bitter about certain things though? I mean... - screwed over by a company - and boss - he loved - youngest brother tragically killed (in said company) - suffers career-ending concussion (also costing him millions of $) whilst being misused in WCW - brother-in-law Davey Boy Smith dies at aged 39 - suffers a stroke, causing partial paralysis for 6 months and other lasting effects - diagnosed with prostate cancer and has to undergo surgery Not to mention his ties with Benoit and Dynamite Kid too. I tend to give Bret a break whenever someone claims that he's "bitter"... he's been through a lot and actually comes across as quite happy and at peace with things now. Bret has been through a lot. It doesn't excuse the way he buried the Fabulous Freebirds, Seth Rollins, and so on. I say that as a lifelong Bret Hart fan. |

As much as that man has been through in his lifetime and as many crap hands he's been dealt in the past 25 years? Well, the way I look at it when life hands you that many lemons you usually wind up doing one of two things. 1. You start lighting the lemons on fire and throwing them at people 2. You start drowning everyone around you in sugar so they don't realize how sour you are.
Bret chose the first.
And I really can't say crap to fault him for it. I have no idea how much of that I could have handled before losing it but I promise you it wouldn't be that much.

Just saw the lineups for 90 and 91 on YT
Honestly? I'm pretty stoked for 91. If that set goes through as planned it should be pretty good. 90 isn't nearly as exciting but not needing anything from 90 means I can save it for 91.

Hoping that the new Hogan is the “Hulk Still Rules” attire. That and Mr. America are the only other Hogans I need since we already got the nWo Hogan as an Ultimate. A new RVD sounds interesting. I only own a Basic RVD, so I’d like to get an Elite of him. It’d be dope if one was based off the ladder match he had against Eddie Guerrero on RAW in 2002. You can even include the oval IC Title with him. I’m glad to see we’re getting a new Owens and a new Zayn. I need that bummy looking heel Zayn in my collection, haha. And obviously I will buy any and all Owens figures. I’d love it if they made the red shirt w/ black KO logo attire that he wore during his feud with Reigns in late 2020, though it’ll probably be his “Stun The World” attire, which I also wouldn’t mind. I just think a red shirt Owens would stand out more from the rest of his figures. RE: Bum Sami - When I first saw that attire I laughed out loud. It's so absurd. He reminds me of a Ginger Castro. But over time it's grown on me and now I want it in the worst way.
RE: KO - I really want a red shirt KO as well. It's a huge want for me and it would stand out from all the black attire Kevin's I have so far. However, I do think it will be "Stun The World" as well which is less desirable but I'll still get it... if for no other reason than to have him face off against Heel Sami.

I’m with you with Bret Hart. Don’t like him either, probably even more than Hogan. Yeah he’s now bitter old man now, which makes me dislike him even more. Bret is in a great place in life surrounded by what's left of his family. He's healthy and happy. I recommend looking out the A&E doc to see a taste of that. I have no idea why Bret's brutal honesty about the current state of the business is mistaken as bitterness. But he's absolutely right about everything he says. |
