I am a loose collector through and through. Yet recently I have kept a few figures in the boxes. Sdcc mr t, legends 8 jake chase, and motwu warrior and Macho man. Are there any other collectors who have a primarily loose collection but have a few in the box for display? I'm curious the best ones people have chosen to keep intact and the best looking ones that look nice on display.

I have a mix. Mostly because I take my time opening figures, but I do like the look of 6-8 carded figures on my display. Any more would be too crowded. Any less would look bare.
Right now its Brood Hardy Boyz, chase Hurricane, Elite 79 Roman Reigns (I'll open when I get the other Shield) Survivor Series John Morrison and the Camo Undisputed Era (waiting for Cole).

I collect loose, but I do have the SDCC Macho Man sealed in box, as the Slim Jim stuff is just too good. I'd like to have one loose one day as well. I also have the recent 30th anniversary Undertaker and a Legends 8 Warrior hanging on my wall, though I also have the Warrior loose. I've toyed with the idea of getting a third 'Deadman's Revenge' to keep MOC for display too.

The figure I have MOC are Legends Andre, Kassius Ohno, Bryan with the hemp championship, and Jakks UFC Dan Severn. The only ones I’d keep MOC if I get them are the SES Punk and Legends Eddie since I have one lose already.

I have kept one of every Sting MIB/MOC. I also have kept an extra of a few Hitman figures (DM, UE, WM, RRH & a couple basics) As well as the EG & HOF Piper, L6 Texas Tornado and a couple 1/1000 belt figures.

I'm not sure what looks good to others or to most people, but I'm primarily a loose collector who loves the Ultimate Warrior, so I have his Legends 6, Hall of Fame, and Wrestlemania VII Defining Moments figures MOC, as well as a few Basics, his Retro, and his Masters of the WWE Universe figure. Same with Sting, though not as many because I never saw as many of his figures.
I generally do that with my favorites from any toy line, though it does start to take too much space.

I started out as a loose collector only in 2010 with the Legends figs. Over I’d say the last two years I’ve gone the other way and collect mostly MOC. Now it just depends on who it is. For some I’ve bought two like Graham so I could open and another kept MOC. My display has both. Kind like how it displays that way with a little of both.

Epic Moments Undisputed Era, Festival of Friendship, Booty-Os, nWo Ringside exclusives and Hardy Boyz RSE.
The new Undertaker and SDCC one. Defining Moments all have nice packaging.

I have hundreds of loose figures since 1985, but I have Mattel Elite Kassius Ohno, Elite Sensational Sherri, Jakks Bone Crunching Blue Blazer & Jakks Classic Lanny Poffo figures MOC.

Loose collector. Only MOC pieces I have are either signed or I plan to get signed in the future.

I’m kinda half and half. I used to get multiples of figures back in the day. One for each but now it’s just kinda either or. I keep almost all of my Taker’s MOC. Sting, too. I keep Ultimate Edition moc and I typically open most regular elites unless it’s a chase
I like the collecting aspect of loose and moc and I feel like it brings a nice layer into the hobby. Same with Marvel Legends and Black Series

I'm mainly a loose collector, though have a few MOC's.
Defining Moments Razor Ramon - Bought it with the intention to open it, but ended up keeping it MOC
Elite 71 Kassius Ohno - I have one Loose and two MOC. Originally intended on opening one to get his Kings attire made, but ended up keeping it MOC. Might still do it one day, but for now it'll stay MOC.
Elite 66 Luke Harper - Had to get a third just to keep MOC.
RSC Brood Hardy Boyz - Pre-ordered these when they were revealed, then won a RSC Instagram Giveaway for them before they came out. So i just kept the second set MOC.
Survivor Series Kane - Bought a second to keep MOC because why not.
I've got other MOC figures, but those are the main ones.

I've always been a loose collector, but a couple of years ago I decided to start a MOC collection of attires from shows I watched often as a kid (on VHS).
So far, this includes: -Basic 100 Shawn Michaels (One Night Only 1997) -Summerslam Basic Triple H (Summerslam 1998) -Summerslam Elite Edge (Summerslam 1998) -Elite 76 Christian (Judgment Day 1998) -Entrance Greats Kurt Angle (Survivor Series 1999) -Elite 71 Big Show (Survivor Series 1999) -Elite 68 Undertaker (Summerslam 2000) -Milk-o-Mania (RAW, 2001) -RSC Exclusive Shane McMahon (King of the Ring 2001) -Basic 100 Stone Cold (King of the Ring 2001)
Looking forward to adding the upcoming Triple H/Jeff Hardy Elite 2-pack to this collection.
I also have some of the specialty lineups MOC (WWE/TMNT, Monsters/Zombies, MOTWWEU), since they're not traditional figures and look good on carding/in box.

I only have two different Kevin Owens figures still MOC, one is a Basic 65(?) and Elite 53. I only kept them that way because they were gifts from my girlfriend at the time, and they were figures I already had loose.
