I know I know the Ultimate edition Hollywood Hogan is the greatest thing since sliced bread...but to me his likeness isn’t there..at all ..:without the glasses on atleast . It’s crazy to me that nobody’s mentioned this. This looks like a headscan from early Mattel 2010ish that just had the new scan tech put on it..
Jakks Hollywood Hogan Back and Bad /Smackdown draft is the best headscan ever for Hollywood Hogan by far,nobody has been able to touch it since it came out.
I know they’re more detailed but likeness wise Jakks back and bad/Smackdown draft >>>>>>>>>>>>Mattel UE>>>>>>Storm
I love the figure otherwise, seeing the technology they have now and some of the scans that look just like the wrestler I wonder how is this one so far off is beyond me..
If you’ve never seen the Back and bad Jakks/Smackdown draft check it out,I’m gonna put that headscan on my UE when I get it

Imo the head scan on the back and bad hogan look goofy I never cared for the scan I thank the UE head scan look better I can't wait to get that figure.

I’m definitely not a fan of any of the scans, but I haven’t really been for any of the Mattel Hogan’s. Something about the figure as a whole just feels off to me. Especially when I see it with other figures.

I personally think the scans are there, it’s more than likely the usual case of Mattel’s bad paint jobs. My least favorite scan is the smiling one. I was not a fan of it when it was released on the hall of fame and I still don’t love it. I thought the proportions on the figure looked wonky at first, but after seeing more pics it looks okay. I’ll have to judge in person when I order mine. I do think the screaming and pouting lips scan are awesome though. Maybe I’ll repaint the stubble on mine.

I think the angry/yelling scan blows every other Mattel, Jakks & Storm Hogan scan away.

I think what’s throwing the scan off for me is the skin tone, he is way too light, if he was a lot darker I think his features would pop a bit more and his moustache stand out.

Are they perfect? No. Decent Hogan likeness though. The back & bad scan always looked goofy to me. I was never a fan of that figure not to mention the skin tone was very light. Mattel takes this by a mile  |

I'm laughing out loud at the moment, so you mean to say pouting head and screaming one don't look like Hogan come on man ,even a man with low eyesight can tell these are hogan heads. I like the pouting one more.

Thing for me on this is that it’s not AWFUL but given how much it was hyped and how long we had to wait, it is disappointing.
This should have been one of the best figures ever and actually, it’s just ‘decent’.

I like all 3 heads. They aren't perfect but I'm happy with them.

The heads aren’t perfect but look ok to me. Have to wait until I actually get the figure. Only thing I can definitely see wrong is the color. He was super tan at the time. Obviously I can see why they wouldn’t go that route though

I’d have to say the jakks unlimited head is the best sculpt of all time when it comes to Hogan. The ultimate angry(yelling) is a close 2nd. I’d have to say that the deco is off. I purchased extras of the ultimate just so I can paint myself.

Disagree. The screaming head is really good. The other two are pretty off though. In my opinion they'd have been better off painting a beard on E34 head and tossing that in than using the silly HOF head. I don’t know why, but aside from the screaming head Hogan is a guy that they just haven’t been able to capture...at all. I sure hope that they scrap all of the Hogan heads that they have (minus the screamer) before they release more Elites/Ultimates. Feel free to toss these onto Basics though. The 80s likenesses may be even worse.
As for Jakks, far and away the best head was CS 8 Hollywood. It was absolutely perfect. Back and Bad was fine. The expression was kind of goofy, but at least the likeness was there, which is more than I can say for any of the Mattel heads (minus the screamer).
