Last week's show was well hyped as a shift in the landscape of pro wrestling, and lived up to its build. Viewers witnessed the crowning of a new World Champion, old alliances strengthen while others threatened to fray, and the shocking return of an industry icon to the business. Tonight we will get the first glimpse of the new, revitalized AEW that stands before us on an explosive episode!
Kenny Omega finally was able to attain an accolade many felt was long overdue in the AEW World Championship, but in doing so put his old friendships and allegiances into doubt. What was thought to be an innocent show of support between family friends exposed itself as a devious ploy orchestrated by Omega and Impact Wrestling executive Don Callis. After interfering in another promotion's affairs and inviting the champ up to Nashville, Callis is planned to join Omega in addressing the AEW roster and fans, promising to have yet another surprise in store. Certainly there are a number of people awaiting their turn to confront this new-but-old pairing, from Jon Moxley to fellow members of the Elite.
Two larger-than-life presences have been granted interview time with Tony Schiavone to share their intentions in AEW for the first time. After decades in the business and seemingly his last in-ring performance, few expected to see Sting back in full force. But the living legend broke Twitter, the dirtsheets, and t-shirt sales records after his stunning appearance and confirmation of his long-term deal with AEW. Now the man himself will share his thoughts and what he hopes to accomplish on this new journey. Basketball great and entertainment personality Shaquille O'Neal will make his first-ever appearance on All Elite programming, no longer relying on Jade Cargill to deliver his messages to Cody Rhodes. When can fans expect to see Shaq Daddy's promise to compete in the squared circle fulfilled? We may get our answer tonight.
So much more lies ahead tonight. MJF and Orange Cassidy battle to wear the coveted Dynamite Diamond Ring for the next year. The Inner Circle members decide the group's fate after weeks of simmering tension. TH2 fight for the right to an AEW Tag Team Championship match against the Bucks That Are Young. Eddie Kingston and Lance Archer bring their rivalry to a head in six-man action, and other top-quality action is in store on a packed Dynamite!
