Mattel V Jakks
Both company have had the license i believe 8+ years.
So who made more figures now i mean variety and exclusives has anyone ever figure that out ?
Basic v ruthless
Elite v deluxe

I think jakks by a mile.
They made so much product, and so many different types of product.
As a jakks collector, i am still finding products that ive never seen before.

Jakks had so many different product lines that I'd have a hard time seeing Mattel producing more in terms of sheer volume of figures. But the retail landscape was totally different. I'm sure Mattel would kill to have specialty retailers like KB and TRU around still, and to be able to do all the various offerings of multi-packs, sub-lines, etc. that used to be possible.

I wasn’t a collector until 2014 so I never paid attention when jakks had the license. But judging from what I’ve seen it appears they had many more than Mattel

As a jakks collector, i am still finding products that ive never seen before. Me too, it's the strangest feeling running into an image or a listing for something I never knew existed. Jakks made so much while they had the license. |

I was active collecting at the time and have never seen those ever before. |

Jakks made more for sure, but no Macho and no Stramboat to me is worth more than about 10 lower card guys who missed out on Mattel.
Having said that I want so many characters in Mattel form still.
We can never be pleased haha

In fairness, a lot of those names on that list were only made because they were actually active on the roster at the time Jakks had the license. They would’ve never been made otherwise. Just like a lot of the modern acts that Mattel has made figures of will not get figures if and when the next company takes over and the talent and WWE, if it’s still around, has largely changed.
