Hello everyone! I'm trying to present the Corporation on my shelf, but I only have one suited torso / legs at the moment. Going the eBay route, but I'm not too familiar with all of the figures that have been released with suits off hand.
Wondering which torso / legs would be the closest fit for Vince / Shane / Patterson / Brisco from 1998.
Thanks!

Ok. So, the Paul Heyman suited figures would likely be best for Patterson. I'd go with the regular release, as the BAF might be pretty hard to come by.
Vince, well, hate to break it to you, your best bet is the Vince McMahon Mail Away Figure. Barring that, the Triple H Mail Away Figure. Vince, during the corporation days, wasn't usually wearing black. He favored grey or possibly other, warm toned colors. You could also get by with the Warrior Legends figure, but I'm not sure of scale. Although, to be honest, neither the Triple H nor the Vince Mail Away figures are the right scale, despite the one literally being a Vince figure. So any of those should work.
I'm not quite sure about Brisco, so I'll skip that.
Shane is the hardest though. Shane, while heavily favoring black, pretty much NEVER wore a tie or buttoned his jacket. Hell, half the time, he didn't wear a jacket. So short of doing some painting, you're pretty much SOL for exact accuracy. However, you can get a reasonably acceptable one with the Paul Ellering BAF. He won't have the dress shirt, but he's black on black and doesn't have a tie.
If you're feeling creative and don't mind basics or big feet? Take the suited battle pack Shane, cut the tongues off his sneakers, then slap a coat of black paint over EVERYTHING he's wearing. It works remarkably well.

Briscoe- Wal-Mart flashback flair body w/Briscoe head
Patterson- Bp46 Shane body,BAF black shoes,Patterson head
Vince- Mailaway Body, Network Spotlight head. Will Need some cotton to rise his head or he will have no neck.
Shane- Basic 70 Flair body,Wrestlemania basic Shane Head. Or you could use either Suited Kurt Angle. Not 100 percent accurate but passable.

How on earth do you swap the shoes on that BP46 figure???
I spent half an hour fiddling with that thing, I saw no method of swapping them.

L8 Warrior is a good suit for Vince. BP46 is the best for Shane but you need to either swap out the shoes or slice the tongue and paint the sneakers black.

Not to be a dick but I think people are forgetting what Vince and Shane looked like during that era. Both very rarely wore ties and usually had open collared shirts under their suits. Being so the only bodies that would work would be Cory Graves, Daniel Bryan and with some paint the Kurt Angle suited bodies

Vince wore a decent amount of full suits in 1998. Once you get to 99 though, yeah, he got far more casual. That said, the night Shane "entered the storyline" so to speak (October 26th? I want to say?), he wore a full suit. I believe it was brown. But after that, pretty much never. EDIT: Shane also had no concept of how to button a jacket. If you did use the Daniel Bryan or Corey Graves bodies, you'd have to split the jacket open.

Even in 1998 Vince was mostly appearing without a tie. That’s his iconic look to me, black or grey suit with a white or blue shirt and no tie
Although if you want him with a tie I would suggest a 99 Vince head on COO Triple H. That mail away Vince is based on 2007-2011 when he was almost always wearing grey with a dark shirt

I had to do it to the Festival of Friendship Jericho. Trying to get that excess plastic off without taking my skin off as well was not fun

That mail away Vince is based on 2007-2011 when he was almost always wearing grey with a dark shirt You know what? I looked it up and you're right. All my "memories" of Vince in a tie were wrong. My parents are right, even my best memories are decaying. Also, Shane wasn't even wearing a tie on 10/26. AND his suit was black (Somehow I got the date right though, and my memory of it being brown could have been from memories of the poor quality TV I watched it on in 1998. I was also right in remembering it was pinstriped, even though I didn't mention that in the post.) If you really want to go 1998 Shane though, you should find some way to do that brown leather jacket he sometimes liked to wear. And black sunglasses. I'll have to check but I believe both of those attires were 1998. Good GOD was he a punk a** b**** back then. But I still loved him. OK FINAL VERDICT: I just consulted my vids. Shane was literally only in the corporation for SEVEN WEEKS out of 1998. And in ONE of those, he wore a tie. (I'm just going off RAW here, btw, he might have worn other stuff on HEAT). That was also the only one of those seven weeks he wasn't wearing black, although I think I counted one (two?) weeks he wore the brown leather jacket (plus one week pre-corporation). Outside of that, it was either black suit/black shirt or just the black shirt. So, technically, if you wanted to do Shane in a full suit from 1998, your best bet (based on the one he wore) would, in fact, be the Flashback Flair figure. Otherwise, if you want to make it look good, you're gonna have to do some customizing.

I'll post it here too, since you might not see the "Fix Up" thread. No, he wouldn't have the title, but this is a pretty spot on (IMHO) Corporate Shane custom. Wrestlemania Basic head, BP body, cut the tongues off, black paint. I also did some touch ups to the WM head, but those are optional. The hardest part of the whole thing is doing the painting around the neckline. Other than that, it's really simple to do and totally worth it.

Thank you for the response and descriptions.

Thank you everyone for the kind responses! Looking forward to piecing together a nice Corporation now. Hey, bonus for that Shane custom I made. If you do it that way, and you're really careful not to mar the paint in the transitioning, you can paint the jacket, shirt, and arms all the same shade of black and it will let you display it with or without the coat (which works as a 2 in 1 figure)! That's how I tried to do it, but I was impatient and didn't let the sealant fully cure and when I put the coat on, I messed up his shirt and had to go back and repaint the chest part, which meant that now it's a different color than the jacket due to the jacket/sleeves being sealed and the shirt not. But yeah, just a heads up, if you want to make him with just the dress shirt, take off the rubber jacket piece and he's pretty much good to go with a coat of paint!

Sounds like a fun little project. I've never done any painting myself. Would you mind recommending the paint you use?
