Totally agree... there are still some 3p stuff I stay away from. I'm not putting that much cash into cheap plastic. Fun tfc and fan project stuff has all been amazing.

The nonsensical photo of a Transformer standing on one leg. One funny thing I noticed over the years is that certain Transformer fans love to pose there 'bots in a high kicking karate pose. I guess it shows off the balance and tight design, lol. Jetfire can actually stand rock solid in this pose with no support. Silly and impractical, but kinda impressive .

I just got him a few days ago. Haven't opened him yet. But my friend did take off the chrome. He looks so much better without it.

Did he have to repaint afterwards? I had a few chips with the silver showing right out of the box.

Optimus Prime 2 pack in stock online at TRU. I had been waiting for it, but at $44.99 I'm not so sure now ... The Classic Optimus got me back into Transformers. I went nearly 20 years without buying a Transformer. I think he's almost eight years old, but I think he still holds up well for somebody looking for an OP in that size. The doors that hang off his arm are a little distracting, but I was super impressed back when he was first released. I think the AOE version is Evasion Prime that is sold separately in the main line with a different deco. I've heard good things about him, but I haven't picked him up. One of these days I'll have to get this set.

I wanted to get some info from all of you
My son is now obsessed with Transformers after watching Age of Extinction
He and I have been collecting wrestling figures for years now (he's 12 now, we started about 2007) so he kind of knows about action figure collecting and appreciates them
He (we) collect everything loose also
One thing we have never bought or gotten into is Transformers. I of course had several when I was little, but other than that haven't gotten any
What is the best Transformers line (that is affordable - say sticking to under $100) to say get a collection started?
His favorites are
Optimus Prime Megatron Galvatron? Grimlock Bumblebee and the one from the humongous ship Name escapes me
Doesn't have to be from AOE either. Just wanted to get some opinions from people in the know before diving in to yet another line!
Thanks for any help
Also any pics of figs you suggest would be REALLY appreciated

Does anyone have a list of decepticons that have been made so far in the Marvel Mashers line?

So I had Mashers Optimus & Megs in hand yesterday.....and man? I was digging them. Love the translation in style but I ended up putting them back.
Basically I will have a huge CHUG catchup to do next year(which I'm really looking forward to)and that catchup will expand my CHUG collection even further and probably nudge my best of the Unicron trilogy shelf out.
So there is no point getting more bots.....but I still kinda want them

I tried not to go too wild buying up the TF Mashers. I got Optimus, Megs, Starscream, and Soundwave. JokerFC, Did the Combiner Wars make it to your parts? I read they're in the UK. I'm jealous, in the States it's mostly movie figures on all the shelves.

Smyths here in Ireland are clogged with movie stuff....And not good ones....one changers etc. Now the Smyths in the UK do get different inventory from time to time
