Does this rank as the worst WWF/E produced PPV of all time?
I was legit excited for it, and though of ordering it (thank goodness I didnt)
Here's the card
2 The Hardy Boyz (Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy) defeated MNM (Joey Mercury and Johnny Nitro) (with Melina)[3] Tag team match 22:33 3 Balls Mahoney defeated Matt Striker Striker's Rules match 07:12 4 Elijah Burke and Sylvester Terkay defeated The F.B.I. (Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke) (with Trinity)[34] Tag team match 06:41 5 Daivari (with The Great Khali) defeated Tommy Dreamer[35] Singles match 07:22 6 Ariel and Kevin Thorn defeated Kelly Kelly and Mike Knox[36] Tag team match 07:43 7 Bobby Lashley defeated Big Show (c) (with Paul Heyman), Test, Rob Van Dam, Hardcore Holly, and CM Punk[2] Extreme Elimination Chamber match for the ECW World Championship 24:42
Alot of people complain that it was in Georgia, not a ECW hotbed like the northeast or even somewhere like Ohio, Indiana, but my gosh the fans would have been crapping on the show no doubt
Heyman had a complete different view for he Elimination Chamber than what Vince had, and it would have been so much better
Heyman was sent home after the show and Dreamer and Stevie Richards actually asked for their release
After Tommy got chokeslammed at the ramp you can see him mouth "I'm sorry" and look absolutely disgusted by what's going on
The thing is, I have looked into rebooking it and i just cant, the undercard is just so bad. Even if you add Sabu to the chamber and have Sandman face Hardcore Holly, the undercard is still weak

Removing Sabu from the chamber was downright false advertising and angered me so much. I was so looking forward to seeing him perform some cool spots in that match.
The undercard was weak and I wasn't a fan of The Hardyz vs MNM. I get that they were being used as draws for the PPV, but they weren't even on the ECW roster.

I think it legit was Vince's way of having fans stop chanting "ECW" at his WWE events. For if he himself can create an ECW that was so bad that fans hated it, then he wins. No more "ECW" chants at his shows.

No more "ECW" chants at his shows. After all the garbage Vince has put on TV since this PPV and people still have this take. If he is that out of touch today, surely this could have been the beginning of that. He thought what he was booking with this ECW would be good and that is the sad part.

WWF just didn’t get ECW. To me their attempt at trying to reproduce anything like the original is like Johnny Cash dying his hair pink, putting a safety pin through his nose and calling his music punk.
Between this PPV, the invasion, return of the NWO I just wish Vince had let his competitors die with dignity.

Just recently watched this show again and it is quite unbearable to say the least. It dragged on and even though the Hardyz/MNM opener was really fun, Melina's constant screech was like salt on a wound. The rebirth of ECW showed promise but missed on so many levels sadly. I will also say how BS the Sabu thing was. Was there even a reason for that besides just doing it to do it? I don't know. Watched it once as a kid, once as an adult and that'll be it for the rest of my life. At least watching the tail end of WCW was a fun version of bad.

Thank God I didn’t see that show. WWE bringing ecw back to ruin it is one of the reasons I can’t be an avid fan again.

Apparently Steph gave Sabu a 3 paragraph scripted promo that she wanted him to cut the week before the event. Since not being a big talker he refused and as a result was pulled from the Chamber. Very bad move pulling an ECW original who was quite a big draw with the fans and replace him with Holly.

Steph hatred of Heyman + Vince's notions of ECW = December to Dismember.
Rotten show & the only thing that stuck with me was Joey's injury or was that even on this show?
Crazy stuff....

That was on Armageddon like...two? three? weeks later. I think December to Dismember really faltered because it was like a week after Survivor Series in a time where people were still dishing out $50 for "Big Four" pay-per-views, on top of only having two matches advertised...and the matches they added unannounced were rotten.

Considering how Vince booked the guys that became famous in ECW, with his horrible gimmicks, it's no wonder he didn't understand how to produce a good ECW show. I'd rather see a guy playing a Vince gimmick than getting his head bashed in or bleeding buckets but I can also understand why a WWE version of ECW would be disappointing. I don't remember much from their ECW but do remember Kevin Thorne and Ariel (who I liked) but really were pretty far away from what ECW was all about. And Viscera was repackaged again as the disgusting Big Daddy V. I guess he was a guy who would do anything for the company hence why kept being brought back or repackaed. No matter who he was, he was awful and contributed nothing and he too didn't fit with ECW. Also the Zombie was the then modern day version of Gobbeldy Gooker. Vince probably had big plans for him only to be told last minute how stupid it was so Sandman caned him. The guy who played Zombie (who sadly passed pretty young) got a good year or two run doing autograph conventions out of his few minutes of fame. On markedout's website he became a meme for when users were comparing autograph costs of other guests to that of Zombie.

Yes!! Thanks for that man. Jesus that was nasty. So DTD holds nothing memorable for me then 🤣

Apparently because ECW was on Syfy, the "science fiction" channel, they asked that ECW have some sort of supernatural element on every show. WWE/Vince came up with the zombie first, and were planning on doing an alien next, and also make Bob Holly an astronaut....

I went to the show because I loved ECW, original ECW, Saturday night 1AM before Vince and TNN/spike,etc, and thought it would be fun.
The only time I ever remember watching ECW on SyFy was the night after the Benoit Raw just to see what they say about the night before.
The PPV was just awful. No Sabu sucked because he was probably who I was most looking forward too. The crowd was dead, except they liked Punk, but I had no clue who he was. I was just ready to get home from Augusta and get some sleep before work Monday morning.
Big show did nod in agreement with a fan who yelled this show sucks while he was in the chamber.

The only things I would change are:
ECW World Tag Team Championship Title Tournament Final Elijah Burke and Sylvester Terkay vs. The F.B.I. (Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke) (with Trinity)
ECW World Television Championship Title Tournament Final Daivari (with The Great Khali) vs. Tommy Dreamer
It might not have made the show better, but adding the ECW World Television and ECW World Tag Team Championship Title Belts would have been great.
