Tony Khan just said on the post show that the TNT belt is retired. Clarification; According to Tony Schiavone on the AEW post show, a new TNT title is currently IN THE WORKS. There will be a new design for the championship and the old design will be retired in honor of Brodie Fingers crossed for an excellent redesign

Tony Khan just said on the post show that the TNT belt is retired. Alright I'll eat my words, no idea why they advertised Darby & Cage as for the title then. FTW title?

And the clarification answers my question lol. That's super cool. Man this kid is gonna be so thankful he has these moments to look back on a few years down the road when the reality of it really starts to sink in. I was a hell of a lot younger than Jr, but I'd say it wasn't until more like 11 or 12 where I really started to understand the magnitude of it all.

Can we just call it the TV Title? Drop the TNT thing?

Can we just call it the TV Title? Drop the TNT thing? Hmm ... let's ask the TNT president!

Can we just call it the TV Title? Drop the TNT thing? I actually kinda love that it's called the TNT title. I think its awesome how much AEW has been behind their network and the network has been behind them with cross promotion, makes it feel like a much healthier partnership to me.

What better name for a TV Title than the name of the TV channel the show airs on.
Pretty cool that they are retiring the design for Brodie. AEW just does so many cool things like this even if it’s not something they necessarily should or have to do.

I know it’s probably a little too much to ask for but I wish the new TNT title has something to do with Brodie on it.

So I remember a couple people talking about PWT's crashing last night. With good reason lol. In literally 4 hours Brodie Lee's memorial shirt outsold their top selling shirt for the entire year (Cassidy). Sold more Brodie shirts in 4 hours than Cassidy sold the entire year.

This tribute show was great and is up there with the Eddie Guerrero memorial shows from 2005. It’s cool to see a company legitimately care about their employees and their families as well. I’ve always liked Tony Khan but I think this has shed a whole new light on him (for me atleast).

Still hard to believe he’s gone, but that show was a beauty. It was a gut punch for sure, but it was cathartic. That tribute video though...damn. I am not the biggest Tony Khan fan, but this show was class from top to bottom. I have to say that TK earned my respect. This was a perfect tribute show. The only thing that could’ve possibly made it better was Wyatt somehow appearing, but that wasn’t even needed. The message was well received, Jonathan Huber was loved and respected by all.

I woke up this morning and still feel the effects of last nights show. I'm glad Brodie got the TNT title run in, he got a proper singles push even though it was only for a brief run. Retiring the TNT title design is an amazing gesture, and I hope the new TNT title has a purple belt strap for Brodie!

Really awesome and bittersweet tribute show. I'm really happy AEW went this route rather than staying the course with their New Year show. I know the match outcomes were predictable, but they were entertaining nonetheless and this really wasn't the type of show to advance storylines. It was nice to see Dark Order featured in every match along with such a touching tribute to Brodie Lee closing out the show. I'm curious to see where Dark Order goes from here.

Such an amazing tribute show from top to bottom. When Eric Redbeard came out at the end after the match and held up the sign, that's when I absolutely lost it.

I stayed out of the thread last night and just watched show. Damn. I told my girlfriend this was going to be a tough episode to watch. Wondering where Brodie was all these weeks but not actually being worried made this news even more shocking. It was awesome that AEW changed gears and did this show and put their original plans off. Putting the wrestlers before the business is not something we're used to seeing, and we're all looking at you Vince. Brodie JR. was definitely too young to understand the magnitude of things. That might have been a good thing though as he'll have amazing memories of this when he's older. If he was 15-16 and this happened it would have been A LOT MORE DIFFICULT for him to have been involved the way he was. He would have been feeling the loss a lot more. Guys were breaking in front of him all over the place and was able to keep going with his character. An 8 old can do that because they wouldn't understand things the way a 15 year old would. I broke a bunch of times through the show. John Silver crashing after the discus lariat and pin Ortiz had me leaking. And then Erik Rowen came back out with that sign and I was in shambles. Real reactions aren't something we normally see in wrestling, and when we do it's often sadly because of these circumstances.

I was very young when my dad passed (like literally 5 months old), so even growing up to Brodie Jr.'s age I still didn't really understand it. Wasn't until I started to get to my teens where the reality of it actually sunk in and I could comprehend what it really meant. I had a couple of friends/acquaintances who lost their dads when they were older (teens, etc) and it was a lot harder on them than it ever was/could ever be for me. Lil Brodie's definitely in for some tough moments as he's older, and having these to look back on is going to be huge. I'm so glad for him that AEW did right by his dad and that his dad was living his best life before he fell ill. That's going to keep his support network strong as he gets older and understandably more upset about it. He's got an entire locker room of cool ass aunt's and uncle's (and ing Silver to throw some papers at) to help him through the tough times when he wants to push away mom. Pillman Jr. being probably the best person he could possible have around him.

I ordered one after the record was already broken in 4 hours. Still took a few minutes to get through though as it wouldn’t add to my cart at first. They also said in less than 2 hours it broke Sting’s 24 hour record.

i had this weird feeling even before dynamite started, that silver would not make it past the ending of the match without breaking, and i was right. he held it together for the most part through everything on camera up until that point, then lost it after the match, and i felt that... i cried harder at that than most of the the other stuff since brodie's death was announced. i know we here, and anyone else that enjoyed his bte stuff kinda memed a push for him into existence, but i really hope he ends up getting something more than just that out of all this. not for pity or anything, but i genuinely feel like brodie was a huge influence for him and saw more potential than anyone else does/did. before, john seemed like he could potentially get a solid push for his comedy more than anything else, but i really want more than that for him. he's a solid in ring worker, DEFINTELY someone that fans can get behind for being hilarious, but i would not be against it at all if this pushed him even further into making a name for himself through other situations. not even necessarily being a world champion, but i feel like he has a huge upside, and the personality to put him over the top. it would make so many people happy to see him succeed, especially big rig. if there's any kind of good to come from this horrible situation, it's john silver ultimately becoming a huge success. i want all of dark order to become as big a deal as they were made to be during the tribute show, but especially him.
brodie's death has hit me harder than owen, eddie, smothers, patterson, and anyone else in the wrestling business besides my dad for whatever reason. i've cried over brodie every single day since i first heard the news. it's been almost a week and i still can't help but get emotional towards anything involving him, especially the people reminiscing on their time spent alongside him. despite everything else, there's something about silver that just seems special, and i hope that he's able to find a way to make brodie even more proud than he already is of him.
