Just stumbled into this thread and I'm absolutely loving what I'm seeing. Great designs, great lineups, really cool and engaging marketing. I need to collect another line like I need another hole in the head. Can anybody give me the sparknotes on price and release timeline? Release window seems to be later this year, some might come earlier than others. No word on price yet.

Guess I can keep drooling over the teasers for a few months before I have to wrestle with collecting yet another line that I have zero space for.

I'd be all for a Candido retro.

As I say with every figure line, get me a Dan The Beast Severn.

Candido is one of my most wanted since the Hasbro era. He was always and will always be one of my favorites. I remember when the WWF was on tour in Germany and somehow my little me got in the first row with a sign reading „I want to be a Body Donna“. While Sunny kept playing the arrogant heel she was (was she playing though), Skip aka Chris Candido shortly stopped, gabe me a smile and a nod. He even said something but it was simply too loud to understand any word. Bret Hart saved me that night from being heavily pushed to the guardrail. Great times.

Brian Myers retro is based on his black heel attire he has been wearing in impact recently?

Hmmm that skin tone seems awfully pale compared to the very vibrant hasbros.

I actually disagree. I have been LESS than impressed by what's been shown so far, and have my doubts about how good they'll look (especially with no action features) -- but I actually think the tone and sheen of the figures looks great -- better than the Mattel Retros

The action features have nothing to do with how these figures look. You could literally remove the internal mechanism from every Hasbro or Retro and they'd look exactly the same. This is a bad take.

Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion man...much like how you regularly hound people about your own! 😂🤙🏻

If Candido is to be next then that could potentially be very interesting for showing how things could be handled for talent going forward.
I expect we would just get him from his ECW time or something in plain black trunks, but Zombie will know that the Hasbro man-child market we all so proudly inhabit would love to see him released as Skip of the Bodydonnas - can he make that work? Has WWE continued to maintain the Skip trademark all these years, or is it available? Or have Candido’s estate registered it for themselves at some point in the past if WWE decided to let it expire? I don’t remember Tammy using the Bodydonnas name in recent years, but it’s usually best not to focus too much on her these days sadly. And maybe she will appear in the line at some point herself?
Or will they take the path of releasing him as ‘Chris Candido’ but in the blue singlet from the initial Bodydonnas run? Or the red trunks from the tag team run?
If Zombie makes him as a Bodydonna with or without using that trademark then that might show us what route he might take with guys best known for WWE gimmicks from the New Generation era for example.

I think it’ll 100% be ECW Chris. Also, it’s Jonny Candido (Chris brother) who runs the estate and sorts out the deals. I know he and Brian Myers seems to get on well and we know how much of an ECW fan Brian is. Also, we already have a Bam Bam Hasbro. I also image Shane Douglas is easily achievable. Triple Threat? Yes please.

Hopefully this will be the last announcement for Series 1. I would prefer a smaller numbers as a blown up roster may also increase the amount of work. It looks like ZST is totally passionate about this project, but he wouldn’t be the first being overwhelmed by the workamount. Especially for a premiere series I would always go for small steps. also there are always issues with new lines, which is totally normal. Just look how many issues S7 had with their first MOTU figures although they were more or less experienced or the first AEW series. This is totally normal and would be fixed during the continuation of the line. Nevertheless totally positive over herr and very excited for this.

I would really love if the WWF look could be done somehow. Being from Allentown, PA, we did get ECW here, so I did watch it growing up, but I just have no emotional or nostalgic attachment to ECW. I'd guess it would need to be CC on the package, but I wonder how much they can wiggle with what attire looks like. I know someone in another post also mentioned Shane Douglas, just makes me want a Dean Douglas, anything in those few years following the Hasbro cut-off would be so sweet! And, how about Tony Norris?? (aka Ahmed Johnson of course). How huge of a get would that be? He's gotta be one of the biggest names from the New Gen period that Mattel hasn't touched.
