If this belongs in the classic thread, my apologies.
I’m watching Ken Shamrock vs Vader from IYH 97 and it’s got me thinking about how fun it would be to see Vader vs some current talent.
The first that comes to mind is Brock. I would prefer it not to spamS Suplex City working Brock but more like 2012-2014 Brock.
The next is Keith Lee. Lee’s power and insane athleticism would be incredible to see against Vader.
Drew. Because, Drew.
Bray/Fiend would probably be fun. Probably more so 2015-2018 Bray but I like the Fiend, too.
Braun and Kevin Owens also come to mind. I think KO’s creativeness would make for a great match with Vader. Braun just for the sheer wrecking force of the two of them in the ring.
As for smaller guys who could get a good match out of Vader are no doubt AJ and Seth and Roman. I have grown to understand over the years that Roman puts on good matches consistently and appreciate it.
Daniel Bryan would likely put on a superb David vs Goliath match.
I am sure there a lots of others but this is basically me typing up fantasy booking thoughts that popped in my head while watching this Vader match.
I will throw in a name that I don’t think would work and that’s Orton. Don’t know why. Just doesn’t feel like a good mesh.

Cesaro swinging and powering up Vader would have been a sight to see.

My mind immediately went to Samoa Joe vs Vader

I always preferred Vader vs the more midsized guys. Not that him vs a big bruiser would be bad, but it was always cool to see him being able to showcase his agility. I think Keith Lee has appeal for the same reason.
I agree that I don’t think him vs Orton would be great. Maybe it could be ok if Orton was a baby face getting dominated by Vader and had to overcome. I feel like Mysterio wouldn’t be great either. I feel like Rey would just bounce right off him.

Vader and Lee would be the match I would want the most.

I remember that match. At one point Vader audibly told Shamrock to "ease up", which I felt was hilarious at the time, as Vader himself was generally stiff as hell.
Back on topic, Vader VS. Lee was my immediate thought. Would also be cool against Orton, Owens, Lashley and Big E.

After that match he had with Ospreay, he could have had a good one with AJ Styles.
I'd have liked to see him against the current version of Roman Reigns.
WALTER, obviously.
He'd have a great one with Cesaro!
Daniel Bryan of course.
He and Kyle O'Reilly would knock the snot out of each other.
Samoa Joe, Brock Lesnar, and Sheamus are then all the obvious choices.
I think it says so much about Vader that he could have been a great fit on literally any roster in any company in any year in the history of wrestling. What a talent.

As long as its the WCW version of Vader, not the wet fart in white pants WWF version.

Every now & again I watch the Vader matches vs Sting...if you haven't you really should.
Fantastic showcase of how good Vader was. I like the idea of Joe vs Vader. I feel Keith Lee could be good too.
Styles Balor etc are the stand out choices for a Vader feud. He was excellent beating the crap outta smaller guys & making them look excellent in defeat & selling their offence.

Vader vs Sting was good. I also remember being into Vader vs Hogan. I was very young at the times of these feuds and only watched WCW a little. Like I’d try to catch the Saturday night shows, I’d watch the first hour of Nitro, then I’d check back when RAW was in a commercial. Anyway, I don’t even remember the surrounding circumstances, but for some reason I vividly remember Vader dragging Hogan from the back to the ring and just like destroying him. At this point, I’m not even sure if that actually ever happened or I’m just imagining it.
